Potential SPOILER On Big E’s WWE In-Ring Return – While nothing has been said publicly about Big E returning to the ring, it looks like there are internal plans for his WWE in-ring return.
On tonight’s SmackDown, Xavier Woods was unable to win the Intercontinental Championship from GUNTHER. After the match, Woods wondered what is next for him because the IC Title shot is a “once in a career” opportunity for him.
According to a report from WRKD Wrestling, Woods will face off with GUNTHER and the rest of Imperium at some point because the plan is for The New Day to feud with them once Kofi Kingston and Big E are cleared and Big E vs. GUNTHER would be the centerpiece of the feud.
There’s no word on when either of them will pop up on WWE TV but it is interesting that there are internal plans for Big E, considering that there was a fear that he might never be able to return to the ring after being dropped on the back of his neck last year.

“Despite a loss to Gunther on #Smackdown, one long-term backstage pitch has seen Xavier Woods and a fully healed Big E and Kofi Kingston feuding with Imperium once the New Day are ready to return. The centerpiece for the feud would be Big E facing Gunther.”
