Edge Slays ‘The Demon’ Finn Balor At WWE WrestleMania 39 – Edge and Finn Balor brought their demons to WWE WrestleMania 39 Night 2, but only one of them stood tall at the end of their brutal battle.
On the second night of WWE WrestleMania 39, Edge and Balor waged war in a Hell in a Cell match. Balor brought his “Demon” persona back for the first time since WWE Extreme Rules 2021, while the WWE Hall of Famer vowed to tap into his own dark side as well.
After their special entrances, the bout quickly turned into a violent contest, as the two foes used a variety of colorful weapons to inflict punishment on each other. Edge blasted Balor with red chairs, and the Judgment Day star repeatedly used a purple kendo stick on Edge.
The match came to a halt at one point, as Edge threw a ladder at Balor, and the impact busted him open. Balor was bleeding badly, and the medical team checked on him. “The Demon” persevered, and he tried to create a WrestleMania moment by climbing the cell wall and leaping off onto Edge. But the legend moved, so Balor went foot-first through a table.
In the end, “The Rated-R Superstar” scored the win with a Coon-Chair-To, seemingly drawing his lengthy feud with Balor to an end.
