Chris Jericho On Jay White Signing With AEW

Chris Jericho On Jay White Signing With AEW – On the April 5 episode of AEW Dynamite, Jay White officially became All Elite when he attacked Ricky Starks and reunited with Bullet Club member Juice Robinson.

White was a free agent after losing a loser leaves NJPW match to Eddie Kingston at NJPW Battle in the Valley.

Speaking to Tim and Eli on Battleground, Chris Jericho was speaking about AEW’s accomplishments in the first four years, how he wanted to make history along with Tony Khan and The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks), and how White’s decision proves AEW still has plenty of momentum.

“Jay White, what a great example of us still having momentum. Hottest free agent in the world. Silver platter for WWE. The guy is 6’4”, he’s international, he has the accent, which chicks love. He’s a great worker, great heel, great babyface. He chose AEW. If that doesn’t tell you that something is going on with us, I don’t know what will. Just to continue to build that momentum is a very exciting prospect,” he said.

As noted, WWE had interest and was very confident about signing the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, but they “failed to communicate properly along the process,” and sources believe that not landing White could be due to the return of Vince McMahon.
