Ladder Match For The NXT Women’s Championship And Much More Announced For Stand & Deliver – Tonight’s edition of NXT saw a lot of big addition to the 2023 NXT Stand & Deliver Premium Live Event.
In the wake of reigning champion Roxanne Perez’s uncertain medical status, WWE began holding qualifying matches on March 14 to determine who would compete in a Ladder Match for the NXT Women’s Championship at Stand and Deliver.
In the first qualifying bout, Zoey Stark emerged victorious over Sol Ruca. Later on, Gigi Dolin pinned Kiana James to earn her spot in the bout. The first two spots are filled, but it remains to be seen how many more competitors will qualify over the next two weeks.
Tonight’s shaw also saw Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn become the new #1 contenders to NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Fallon Henley and Kiana James for a title shot at Stand & Deliver. Dawn and Fyre won a Triple Threat that also included Kayden Carter and Katana Chance, plus the team of Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley. The latter team crumbled when Paxley turned on Nile.
It will be interesting to see how the tag team of Henley and James holds up as this week’s show also saw Henley and Josh Briggs find alleged proof that James is cheating on Brooks Jensen.
Also, a big Fatal Five-Way was revealed for the North American Championship.
With Wes Lee giving a passionate speech, he requested “ten of the best,” to compete against at the WrestleMania weekend WWE NXT premium live event, Stand & Deliver. While HBK did not agree, he did acquiesced to Lee’s demands, sort of. Shawn Michaels was agreeable to offering a Fatal Five-Way in which Wes Lee would be choosing his own four opponents. Wes Lee gladly accepted and thanked Shawn Michaels for the opportunity.
We’ll have to stay tuned to WWE NXT to find out who Wes Lee chooses to face for the North American Championship at Stand & Deliver in the Fatal Five-Way match.
