NJPW Confirms Will Ospreay Injury – As noted earlier, Will Ospreay is dealing with a shoulder injury that occurred during Ospreay’s New Japan Cup second-round match against Mark Davis on March 13.
The news was later confirmed by New Japan Pro Wrestling on twitter, also stating that Ospreay has been pulled from 3/15 NJPW Event. “Will Ospreay sustains shoulder injury; changes made to Okayama card”
The announcement stated that Ospreay “does not have a timetable for recovery at this time” and as a result, won’t compete in the card set for Wednesday at Okayama.
Two matches on Wednesday’s card have been changed as a result of Ospreay’s injury. Ospreay was set to team with Davis and Kyle Fletcher, but he has since been replaced by Jeff Cobb. A tag team match originally featuring Cobb teaming with Aaron Henare against Yuto Nakashima and Oskar Leube is now a singles match between Henare and Nakashima.
