LWO To Be Referenced On SmackDown

LWO To Be Referenced On SmackDown – The final WWE SmackDown before WrestleMania is tomorrow night and this will be the final push from WWE to get fans to tune in this weekend on Peacock.

Rey Mysterio vs. Dominik Mysterio was announced last Friday and according to WRKD Wrestling, during the final hype for WrestleMania, there will be a reference to the LWO (Latino World Order). We don’t know that this is related to Dominik and Rey but it’s a pretty safe bet since Rey and Eddie Guerrero were so close. Also, Dominik has been compared by the LWO and this past Monday on Raw, Dominik stated that he wishes that Eddie was his real father.

The LWO was a group in WCW that was meant to spotlight the lucha libre wrestlers who were being underutilized at the time. The group formed after Eddie did a promo where he talked about wanting to get out of his WCW contract. He disappeared from TV for weeks and then returned and announced the formation of the group with names like Psychosis, La Parka, Hector Garza, and Juventud Guerrera. Rey Mysterio was forced to join the group after losing a match to Eddie but they disbanded in January 1999 after Eddie was involved in a car accident.
