As announced during tonight’s show, Wes Lee will defend the NXT North American Championship on next week’s episode of NXT.
Lee retained the title against Dijak at NXT Vengeance Day. On the February 7 episode of NXT, Lee announced that he will be holding an open challenge next week. Tony D’Angelo, alongside Stacks, confronted him and teased his interest in accepting the challenge. D’Angelo and Stacks interfered in Lee’s match at NXT Vengeance Day.
Plus, Meiko Satomura will make her return to NXT when she teams up with NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez to face Katana Chance & Kayden Carter. Chance and Carter were angry after they lost the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship at NXT Vengeance Day. They took their anger out on Perez and claimed that she didn’t have any friends. Perez proved them wrong by calling someone, and the individual turned out to be Satomura. The former NXT UK Women’s Champion has been absent since she defeated Perez on the September 6 episode of NXT.
Elsewhere on the show, Tyler Bate will take on Grayson Waller, who will return from his one-week suspension on Tuesday. Waller was penalized for angrily confronting Shawn Michaels at the NXT Vengeance Day post-show press conference following his loss to NXT Champion Bron Breakker at the pay-per-view. On Tuesday night, Bate took issue with Waller’s actions and challenged him to a match.
Additionally, NXT Champion Bron Breakker will return to the show for the first time since NXT Vengeance Day. At the end of the premium live event, following his win over Waller, Carmelo Hayes came to the stage and set his sights on the champion.
Charlie Dempsey seemingly challenged Hank Walker to a match next week, but the broadcast team did not confirm the bout.
