Mark Briscoe Officially Signs With AEW – After AEW Dynamite went off the air on the east coast, AEW CEO Tony Khan took to Twitter to make a major announcement about a new signing.
Tony Khan writing on Twitter announced:
“Mark Briscoe earned his second win on TBS on #AEWDynamite tonight, and now it’s official:
Mark Briscoe is All Elite!
“Congratulations @SussexCoChicken!”
Mark Briscoe picked up the victory tonight over old foe Josh Woods after a shocking return helped to even the odds when Woods’ faction was interfering.
Mark Briscoe continues to be announced as “one half of the Ring of Honor tag team champions” which he shared with brother Jay Briscoe prior to Jay’s tragic death last month in a motor vehicle accident.
The Briscoes were previously signed to ROH contracts as Warner Bros Discovery had banned them from appearing on AEW TV, but that rule was overturned for Mark following Jay’s passing.
Briscoe is a long time veteran of the professional wrestling business with time spent in various independent promotions including notable time with Ring of Honor, IMPACT and NJPW alongside his brother.
