The scheduled Steel Cage match between Becky Lynch and Bayley was thrown out and scrapped following a beatdown by Damage CTRL on Lynch.
Many fans are wondering what happened to the advertised Steel Cage match between Bayley and Becky Lynch. It turns out that they had a lot more planned but WWE had to call an audible.
Fightful Select reports that the entrances and the match were scheduled for two segments but they had to cut things short because of the opening segment with The Bloodline running long. Several segments had to be trimmed but the most affected thing on the show was the cage match.
On a positive note, instead of doing a shorter match, they did an angle that can set up a future match between Bayley and Lynch.
