NXT Results (1/31) – Vic Joseph and Booker T welcome us to the show and we are ready to action with our first match of the night.

Veer Mahaan and Sanga vs. Julius Creed and Brutus Creed

Veer and Julius start things off and they lock up and go to a stalemate.  They lock up and go to another statemate.  Julius with a waist lock and Veer with a shoulder tackle.  Veer with a punch and Julius with punches.  Veer sends Julius into the turnbuckles and Sanga tags in.  Brutus tags in as well.  Brutus with a waist lock and Sanga tosses Brutus aside.  Brutus goes for the leg and Sanga with a forearm to the back.  Sanga sends Brutus into the turnbuckles but misses a splash into the corner.  Brutus with punches and he blocks a kick.  Veer tags in and he punches Brutus.  Sanga with a shoulder tackle and Veer with an elbow drop.  Veer with kicks to Brutus.  Brutus backs Veer into the corner and Julius tags in and connects with forearms in the corner.  They hit a double hip toss on Veer.  Julius and Brutus with knees to Veer and Julius with a gutwrench suplex to Brutus onto Veer for a near fall.  Sanga tags in and Veer hot shots Julius.  Sanga with a knee to the midsection and he chokes Julius in the ropes.

Veer tags back in and he hits a leap frog seated splash.  Veer with punches to the midsection and Julius with a double leg take down but Sanga tags in and takes Julius down.  Sanga with snake eyes and a kick to the head.  Julius with a double leg take down to Sanga but Veer tags in and he stops Julius.  Sanga tags back in and Veer with a forearm to the back.  They connect with a double shoulder tackle to Julius.  Sanga with a chin lock that traps Julius’ arm.  Julius gets to his feet and Sanga with a forearm.  Sanga talks to the referee and then he kicks Julius.  Sanga with a splash into the corner and a slam for a near fall.  Julius tries for a double leg but Sanga blocks it.  Sanga with a knee in the corner.  Julius pushes Sanga into his corner but Sanga stops Julius from making the tag.  Veer tags in and he applies a knee bar.  Julius tries to get to his corner but Veer stops him.  Julius with an enzuigiri and Brutus tags in and he connects with clotheslines and he knocks Sanga off the apron.  Brutus with a belly-to-back suplex followed by a Tiger suplex.  Brutus with forearms and then he knocks Sanga off the apron.

Brutus with a standing moonsault and Julius tags in and hits a shooting star press for a near fall.  Brutus takes Sanga to the floor and Julius with a Doctor Bomb for a near fall.  Julius with a rolling slam and then he sets for the clothesline but Jinder grabs Julius.  Ivy argues with Jinder on the apron and Julius accidentally knocks Ivy off the apron when he does not see her.  Veer with a clothesline and Sanga tags in.  Sanga with a choke slam for the three count.

Winners:  Veer Mahaan and Sanga

– Axiom is in the back and he is watching some NXT UK.  Tyler Bate shows up and he says he likes A-Kid.  Axiom wonders what happened to him.  Tyler says Axiom reminds him of A-Kid.  Axiom says he gets that a lot.  Axiom asks Tyler if they should have some friendly competition.

Damon Kemp shows up and he says he hates the idea of friendly competition.  Damon says the people in the UK were soft and if they see A-Kid, Kemp wants them to tell him he is hot garbage.

– Indi Hartwell was talking to the people in the locker room about being in the Royal Rumble. Zoey Stark shows up and Indi says that Zoey attacked Nikkita and says that Zoey was in the Rumble too. Zoey says if she attacked Nikkita, you would have known. Sol Ruca reminds Zoey that Indi beat her last time and Zoey tells Sol to stay out of her business.

Zoey Stark vs. Indi Hartwell

They lock up and Indi backs Zoey into the corner.  Indi with forearms and Zoey goes to the floor on an Irish whip.  Indi follows after Zoey and she chases Zoey around the ring.  Zoey misses an elbow drop when Indi teases a return to the ring.  Indi sends Zoey into the apron.  Indi kicks Zoey in the ropes and gets a near fall.  Indi with a short arm clothesline and another clothesline.  Zoey rakes the eyes and snap mares Indi.  Zoey with a sliding clothesline for a near fall.  Zoey with an arm bar.  Indi with an arm drag.  They exchange chops.  Zoey with a kick and Irish whip.  Zoey with another Irish whip.  Indi with an Irish whip and a side slam for a near fall.  Indi sends Zoey to the apron but Zoey drops Indi against the ropes.  Zoey with a sllingshot hesitation twisting senton for a near fall.

Zoey kicks Indi.  Zoey with a snap mare and cravate.  Zoey with a front face lock and Indi backs Zoey into the corner.  Zoey with a thrust kick and forearms.  Indi fires back and connects with punches.  Indi with a clothesline or two.  Indi with a spinebuster for a near fall.  Zoey with a back heel kick and a German suplex.  Zoey gets a near fall.  Zoey tries for a half and half suplex but Indi with a snap mare.  Indi with a forearm and she goes for a springboard move from the apron but Zoey stops it.  Zoey with the 360 Knee for the three count.

WInner:  Zoey Stark

After the match, Zoey attacks Indi. Sol Ruca makes her way to the ring and Zoey gets out of the ring before Sol can do anything.

– We go to the Schism.  Joe Gacy says the Day of Vengeance is on the horizon.  Rip says they are close to getting what they have been denied.  Joe says they alter other’s destiny.   They say that we know who Edris and Enofe are.  Ava says Chase University worships a false idol.  You are devious and delusional.  School spirit will not help you tonight because Chase University will fail.  There is no unit stronger than the Schism.

– Wes Lee walks in the back as we go to commercial.

– We are back wth Apollo Crews in Charlotte.  Cars flying down I-85.  I came early to get a taste of the city.  I need two falls.  Two pinfalls, two submissions, or one of each.  Melo will be fast and flashy but I will be ready for his game plan.  My best is always better than Melo’s best.  If Trick wants to get involved, he will be handled.  Apollo says Melo wants to call him the past and himself the future.  At Vengeance Day, the past will dictate the future.

– North American Champion Wes Lee makes his way to the ring.

Wes says they are four days away from NXT being on the road and they are swinging through Charlotte for Vengeance Day.  It is a big day for him because he has his biggest challenge in front of him in Dijak.  Dijak claims to be serving justice, but he just wants what is shining on his shoulder.  Saturday is going to be tough and he is probably going to take an ass whooping.  I will rise as your North American Champion, just like against Tony.

Dijak’s music plays and he makes his way to the stage.

DIjak tells Wes to soak this all in because they are your final days as North American Champion.  That was an impassioned speech but it won’t make any difference.  You had every opportunity to hand me that title, but you were too stupid.  On Saturday, you will be staring across the ring from the biggest and baddest in the locker room.  I will rip that title from your prone hands.

Wes says Dijak will have to rip this title from his cold dead hands.  He has fought to get this title.  When he felt like he couldn’t any more, the support from the fans showed him that he could reach levels he could only dream off.  You are not fighting just him, you are fighting everyone on his side.

Dijak says Wes might be fighting for them, but they won’t be fighting for you.

Von Wagner’s music plays and Robert Stone apologizes.  He says his ears are not working properly.  You said you were the biggest and baddest.  Have you forgotten about Von Wagner.

Von tells Dijak to take his sunglasses off.  The only injustice is him being overlooked.

Dijak says his eyes are focused on gold and he has no issues with Von.

Wes says that Dijak claims he is the biggest and you are calling Von a liar.

Dijak tells Wes to shut up and Wes says there is an injustice that need to be fixed.  Wes says he feels what Von has to say.  If Von can beat Dijak tonight, he won’t be overlooked.  He will be seen as a championship contender.  Wes wants that injustice fixed.

Dijak punches Von when Wes moves.  Dijak is sent to the floor and both men have to be held back.

Dijak vs. Von Wagner

Dijak with punches but Wagner with a knee and a fallaway slam.  Dijak blocks a suplex from Wagner and hits a suplex throw.  Wagner with elbows in the corner.  Dijak with a neck breaker for a near fall.  Dijak with a cravate.  Wagner with punches and an Irish whip.  Wagner with a power slam for a near fall.  

Wagner with head butts.  Dijak with a drop toe hold to send Wagner into the ropes.  Dijak with punches.  Dijak with a cravate.  Wagner with punches.  Dijak with a forearm and knee followed by a discus clothesline for a near fall.   Dijak grabs Wagner by the throat but Wagner with punches to escape.  Dijak with back heel kicks and a chop.  Wagner suplexes Dijak into the corner.  Wagner waits for Dijak to get up and he hits a clothesline into the corner.  Wagner with an Irish whip but Dijak with a boot.  Dijak with a forearm.  Wagner with a knee.  Dijak with elbows and a forearm.  Dijak with a thrust kick.  Wagner with a boot to stop a cyclone kick for a near fall.

Wagner sets for a choke slam but DIjak lands on his feet and he gives Wagner High Justice for a near fall.  Dijak with forearms in the corner and he puts Wagner on the turnbuckles and connects with a forearm.  Dijak sets for High Justice off the turnbuckles but Wagner with elbows and forearms.  Wagner with a butterfly superplex for a near fall.  Wagner gets Dijak up for a torture rack but Dijak with a rear naked choke and hammer lock.  Dijak with Feast Your Eyes for the three count.

Winner:  DIjak

Channing says he thinks Dijak wins on Saturday.  He says he has both things worked out so it will happen next week.  Tony mentions the other thing.

– We get an update on Nikkita Lyons and her knee injury.

McKenzie Mitchell is in the back and she wonders who attacked Nikkita.  We see the video tape and we see Valentina Feroz and others walking.  We see Elektra Lopez and Lola Vice walking.  Tiffany Stratton is in the parking lot and a car drives away.  We see Zoey Stark walking away.  Tatum Paxley and Lash Legend are all in the background.  Lyra Valkyria and Indi Hartwell check on Nikkita.  We see Wendy Choo watching from the back of a car.

We go to commercial.

– We are back with a look at Bron Breakker and Grayson Waller’s steel cage match. Bron says this is about proving that he is the best NXT Champion of all time.  This is his life. Waller says he is sick of Bron Breakker.  He has been running this brand.  He’s been the guy and he’s been the star.  He makes the decision that he will be the champion.  

We see the match from New Year’s Evil.  We see the announcement of the steel cage match at Vengeance Day.

Waller says Bron Breakker is a wild dog.  Bron says his temper has gotten the best of him in NXT.  Waller says no one has taken advantage of Bron like anyone else.  Bron says his temper has led him to his biggest victories and his greatest defeats.  Waller says he will use that to win.  Bron says he will beat Waller within an inch of his life and beat him.  Waller says he will pass the test.  He says he wants to embarrass Bron.  Waller asks what will he do in his biggest moment.  Bron says this will be his Vegeance Day.

Tyler Bate vs. Axiom

They lock up and Bate with a break.  They lock up and Bate with an arm bar and Axiom with an Irish whip.  Bate goes through the legs and Bate with a double leg take down into a rollup for a near fall.  They lock up and Bate with an uppercut and snap mare.  Bate blocks a snap mare and Bate with an arm bar.  Axiom with a front face lock.  Bate with an arm drag into an arm bar.  Bate blocks a hip toss and he takes Axiom to the mat.  Axiom uses the referee for a reversal.  Bate with an arm bar.  Axiom with a head scissors and arm drag followed by a drop kick for a near fall.  Axiom with a front face lock.  Bate tries to escape but Axiom holds on and gets a near fall.

Bate with a kick but Axiom hip tosses Bate over the top rope to the floor and Axiom follows.  Bate with a European uppercut and they return to the ring.  Bate with a side head lock and a kick to the head.  Bate with a side head lock take down.  Axiom with a head scissors.  Bate with a head stand to escape the hold.  Axiom with another head scissors.  Bate goes for another head stand escape and he succeeds and hits a drop kick.  Bate with a straitjacket choke and Axiom with a snap mare.  Bate with an uppercut off the turnbuckles for a near fall.  Bate with an abdominal stretch.  Axiom escapes and gives Bate a hip toss.  Axiom with an exploder  and a triangle.  Bate gets Axiom up and give Axiom an airplane spin.  Bate gets a second wind and he completes the round trip with a Death Valley Driver for a near fall.

Bate with a forearm and Axiom fires back.  Axiom with an enzuigiri and a kick to the chest for a near fall.  Bate with a knee lift and he goes to the turnbuckles and goes for the uppercut but Axiom catches Bate out of the corner and applies a rear naked choke.  Axiom gets on Bate’s back and Bate gets to his feet.  Bate powers out of the hold but Axiom with a waist lock.  Bate with a back elbow.  Axiom with a kick and Bate counters a rollup and drops down for a near fall.  Axiom with a punch and Bate misses a rolling kick.  Bate with bop and bang followed by a rebound clothesline.  Bate sets for the Tyler Driver but Axiom counters with a jackknife cover.  Bate bridges out and Axiom stops him for a moment.  Axiom with a rana to counter a Tyler Driver.  Bate holds on and hits the Tyler Driver for the three count.

Winner:  Tyler Bate

After the match, Bate shows respect to Axiom and they shake hands. Damon Kemp attacks Axiom from behind and hits a uranage back breaker.  Bate stops Kemp from doing anything else to Axiom.

– We go to Isla Dawn.  It is time to exhale all of the anger and mark a new beginning.  It is time to purify the negative energy around them and turn the uninitiated into this house.  There has always been a rage inside you but you always needed a gentle nudge from her.  She asks Alba if she is ready to join her.  We relinquish our need for control.  These emotions no longer serve us.  With this ritual, the initiation is done.

– We see Roxanne Perez, Gigi Dolin, and Jacy Jayne in split screen as we go to commercial.

– We are back and Carmelo and Trick are with McKenzie.  Trick says he isn’t scared of Apollo, he is cold.  Trick doesn’t know if he should go to Charlotte.  Hayes says Trick is going. She asks Hayes about the match on Saturday.  Hayes says he is of a different caliber.  Crews can have a 40 inch vertical but he cannot reach Carmelo’s level.  Until you beat him two out of three falls, you cannot be him.

– We go to the three women in the NXT Championship Match on Saturday.

Roxanne is asked about being in the Royal Rumble.  She says it was overwhelming and she feels grateful to have her music heard in front of 50,000 people, it was incredible to run to the ring.  Gigi and Jacy call it pathetic.  You aren’t going to Wrestlemania, you are going to Vengeance Day to lose the title.  Jacy says it will all be over for Roxanne on Saturday.  Roxanne says there was truth behind what Gigi and Jacy said to each other.  Jacy says Roxanne has the same odds of winning Saturday as she did at the Rumble… zero.

Jacy tells Roxanne she had a good run.  She tells Roxanne kudos.  You have peaked at 21 and that sucks for you.  It all comes to an end on Saturday.  Roxanne disputes Jacy.  GIgi says Roxanne made one critical mistake, she messed with Toxic Attraction.  Jacy says that Roxanne can play the ‘what if’ game.  Whether you like it or not, it will be two on one on Saturday.  Your fifteen minutes of fame is over.

Roxanne gets up and leaves the room.

Jacy says she does not care if she upset Roxanne.  Jacy says you are looking at the next champion.  Gigi says Vic and Booker are trying to put a wedge between them.  Order will be restored on Saturday and you will see who they really are.  Gigi says the course of the women’s division changes when she . . . they win the titles.

Roxanne attacks Jacy and Gigi and then hits a Thesz Press on Jacy.  Gigi grabs Roxanne and Roxanne goes after Gigi.

Dani Palmer vs. Stevie Turner

They lock up and Turner with an arm bar and wrist lock take down.  Palmer with a reversal.  Turner with a waist lock and Palmer with a standing switch.  Turner with a head lock and kicks to the head.  Turner with face washes and a running boot to the head.  Turner with forearms to the back and a neck breaker.  Turner with a snap mare and a chin bar.  Palmer with a flying clothesline but Turner with a kick.  Dani with a jaw breaker and a Thesz Press.  Palmer slams Turner’s head into the mat.  Turner with a bicycle kick and a DDT.  Turner with a Side Effect for the three count.

Winner:  Stevie Turner

– Kiana James is on the phone and she says that she loves the person on the phone.  Fallon Henley shows up and wants to know who Kiana is talking to and she yells at Kiana. Katana Chance and Kayden Carter show up and they say that the challengers are not talking about the match. Fallon says she might not be friends with Kiana like Kayden and Katana are but they are going to go all out on Saturday. Fallon tells Kiana to focus.

Charlie Dempsey vs. Drew Gulak

They lock up and Drew with a side head lock take down.  Dempsey with a take down but Gulak holds on to the head lock.  Dempsey with a head scissors and Drew escapes.  Drew with a front face lock and Dempsey with a wrist lock.  They go to a Greco Roman Knuckle Lock.  Dempsey with a bridge but Drew gets a near fall.  Dempsey gets a near fall but Gulak with a sunset flip for a near fall.  Dempsey with a side head lock.  Dempsey with a take down and a near fall.  Dempsey with a take down but Drew rolls through and gets a near fall.  Drew slams Dempsey into the ropes and Dempsey holds his leg.  Dempsey with a European uppercut and Drew slaps Dempsey.  Drew tries for a Sharpshooter but Dempsey blocks it.  Drew turns it into a Cloverleaf and a chin lock. 

Dempsey escapes and applies a heel hook.  Drew with a kick.  Dempsey with a European uppercut and a dragon screw for a near fall.  Dempsey with a double underhook and a bridging suplex into a guillotine.  Dempsey with a Fujiwara arm bar into a rollup for a near fall.  Dempsey with a butterfly suplex for a near fall.  Dempsey with a waist lock and a deadlift German suplex for a near fall.  Drew with a forearm to the arm and he tries for a crossface chicken wing but Dempsey with a snap mare.  Gulak avoids a dragon screw but Dempsey with a dragon screw.  Dempsey with a heel hook and Drew escapes.  Drew with a clothesline for a near fall.  

Drew with a side head lock but Dempsey with a back breaker for a near fall.  Gulak slaps Dempsey and Dempsey kicks Drew in the head.  Drew with a double leg take down and he gets a near fall.  Dulak avoids a sleeper and he applies a wrist lock.  Dempsey with a crossface chicken wing and Dempsey keeps Drew from getting to the ropes.  Dempsey with a body scissors but Drew fights through it and Drew sends Dempsey into the ropes and Dempsey hits Walker.  Drew with a rollup for the three count.

Winner:  Drew Gulak

– Von Wagner throws a chair and Robert Stone says this isn’t working.  Stone asks why is he managing Von.  He knows nothing about Von.  He knows Von is big and he growls.  You want to get to the next level.  You need to show him who Von is and who he is inside.  Stone tells Von to help him help Von.

The Dyad vs. Andre Chase and Duke Hudson vs. Edris Enofe and Malik Blade
Winners joining Pretty Deadly, Gallus, and NXT Tag Team Champions The New Day at Vengeance Day

Duke and Rip start things off.  They lock up and Rip with a punch to the ribs but Duke blocks an Irish whip.  Duke with a slam and Chase tags in.  Chase with a drop toe hold and Duke with an elbow drop to the back for a near fall.  Rip backs away and he chops Enofe on the apron to tag him in.  They shake hands and Chase blocks an arm drag.  Chase with a rollup for a near fall.  Enofe with a La Magistral attempt but Chase with a near fall.  Enofe with a waist lock and Chase holds on to the ropes.  Enofe with a drop kick and he tags in Blade.  Enofe with an arm drag and he trips Chase.  Blade with a kick and Enofe with a clothesline.  Blade gets a near fall.  Chase with a jaw breaker.  Jagger tags in and he pulls Chase to the mat by the hair.  Jagger with kicks and Chase goes to the floor.

Rip gets Chase up and they hit a slingshot IndieTaker to Chase.  Rip sends Chase’s throat into the apron.  Rip with a side slam and he gets a near fall.  Rip with a chin lock.  Rip with a short arm clothesline for a near fall.  Rip gets another near fall.  Rip with a back elbow and he tries for a suplex but Chase blocks it.  Rip with a forearm to the back.  Chase with a suplex to Rip and both men are down.  Jagger tags in and he drop kicks Duke off the apron.  Chase with a back body drop and Duke isn’t on the apron.  Rip tags in and Chase sends Rip to the floor.  Rip and Jagger pull Enofe and Blade off the apron.  Jagger tags in and they hit an elevated lungblower for a near fall.

Jagger has some words for Thea while Rip taunts Chase.  Duke tags in and he connects with forearms to Jagger and Rip.  Duke with a side slam to Rip.  Duke with a Chase U elbow and back senton.  Duke Irish whips Jagger to the apron and follows with a boot to send Jagger to the floor.  Duke with a shoulder tackle Jagger and he hits a slingshot German suplex for a near fall.  Duke sets for a super kick and Blade tags in and he hits a springboard cross body.  Blade with a head scissors to Duke on the floor.  Blade with a splash and Enofe with an elbow.  They hit a swinging neck breaker and Samoan drop combination for a near fall and everyone is down in the ring. 

Chase and Enofe punch Rip to send him to the floor.  Enofe and Blade with a double drop kick and a double flip dive to the floor.  Jagger crotches Enofe and punches him.  Blade with a double sledge to the back.  Rip pulls Blade off the apron and sends him into the ring steps.  Rip and Jagger go for a double superplex but Chase tags in and he comes under for a Tower of Doom.  Andre with a C-H-A-S-E-U Stomp to Jagger.  Ava gets on the apron and distracts Chase.  Thea pulls Ava off the apron as Jagger punches Chase.  Jagger misses a drop kick into the corner.  Duke tags in and they hit the Fratliner for the three count.

Winner:  Andre Chase and Duke Hudson

After the match, Chase and Duke stand tall as the music hits. Hail rushes into the ring and runs around while yelling out. We go to replays. Chase U continues their celebration until we see Gallus looking on from the platform above the crowd. Pretty Deadly comes out to the entrance-way to stare down Chase U as well. The New Day appears on the big screen in what appears to be a pre-recorded video. They congratulate Chase U and announce that they are going to Vengeance Day. The New Day rants some and says they will see them all this Saturday in Charlotte. The New Day gets the crowd to give it up for Chase University one more time. Chase U’s music starts back up as Gallus and Pretty Deadly look on. We cut to a Vengeance Day video package as the go-home edition of NXT goes off the air.
