Kenny Omega Dealing With Visa Issues – Kenny Omega has been off AEW television since the January 11 episode of Dynamite when The Elite won the AEW World Trios Titles in match seven of their Best of Seven series with Death Triangle.
AEW held a tribute show to the late Jay Briscoe on January 17 and then had Mark Briscoe work a match against Jay Lethal this past Wednesday night, where the ROH Tag Team Champion went over to celebrate Briscoe’s life.
The Young Bucks, Tony Khan, BJ Whitmer, and Christopher Daniels were seen on the ramp with the rest of the roster after the match to embrace Mark, but Omega was missing.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Omega missed the last two weeks of Dynamite because of visa issues.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that the hope is Omega will be back for next Wednesday’s Dynamite. However, that’s not said to be locked in yet.
