12/5 WWE RAW Preview - Poker Tournament, The Usos To Defend

WWE RAW Results (12/5) – We are live from The Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. as The Usos, Solo Sikoa and Sami Zayn make their way to the ring.

We see footage from earlier in the day when the Usos, Solo Sikoa, and Sami Zayn arrived at the building.

Byron ambushed them to ask about the tag title match as Matt Riddle scoots past them and Jey says he is going to get Riddle and his partner. Jimmy says they are the Ones.

Elias comes out of his bus, which is right behind where the Bloodline parked. Solo attacks Elias from behind and they beat up Elias and send him into some guardrails.

Back in the arena, Jey tells everyone the Bloodline is in your city. Jimmy says they have some bad news. The Tag title match is officially canceled. Jey says that is because the enforcer Solo Sikoa took care of Elias in the parking lot. Jimmy says they came to see the Bloodline compete, but there is a bright side. Matt Riddle doesn’t have to be humiliated. Elias can work on a new song. Jimmy says they can concentrate on being the best tag team ever.

Matt Riddle comes out and he says it wasn’t cool to take out his partner Elias. It was his first chance to get WWE gold. Riddle says it isn’t like the Bloodline to run from a fight. That isn’t very Uce-y.

Sami tells Matt to hold up. He says that Riddle does not determine what is Uce-y. Sami says he is a certified Uce-ologist. Sami says Solo being the enforcer is Uce-y. The Usos remaining the longest reigning champions is Uce-y. You coming out and thinking you had a chance to win is not Uce-y. Unless you want to suffer the same fate as your tag team partner, you should turn around and go home.

Riddle says he found a partner and there will be a title match tonight. He says he might not be bros, but they both hate the Bloodline. Kevin Owens comes out and marches to the ring.

The Usos vs. Matt Riddle and Kevin Owens for the WWE Men’s Tag Team Championships

Owens blocks a super kick from Jey and he punches Jey many times. Owens with a back elbow and a back senton for a near fall. Owens sends Jey into the turnbuckles and he punches Jey in the corner. Owens sets for a cannonball but Jimmy pulls him to the floor. Owens goes to the floor and he clotheslines Jimmy and sends Jey into the ringside barrier.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Owens gets a near fall on Jimmy. We see footage of an Owens cannonoball during the commerical. Owens with a clothesline and a moonsault for a near fall. Riddle tags in and he connects with forearms. Riddle with a kick and Jey with an enzuigiri from the apron and Riddle is down. Jey tags in and he kicks Riddle in the midsection. He swings at Owens and misses. Jey chokes Riddle in the ropes. Jimmy with a boot to Riddle’s head. Jimmy tags in and Jey with a back breaker and Jimmy with a forearm off the turnbuckles for a near fall.

Riddle with forearms and he gives Jey an elbow on the apron. Jimmy with an uppercut to Riddle. Jimmy knocks Owens off the apron. Riddle with forearms and Jey tags in. They hit a double choke slam and Jey gets a near fall. Riddle with chops to Jey but Riddle misses a kick. Jey with a pop up neck breaker for a near fall.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Riddle with a back senton. Owens tags in and he hits a Swanton on Jimmy for a near fall. Owens waits for Jimmy to get up. Owens with a kick but Jimmy avoids a stunner. Owens blocks a super kick and Owens with a super kick. Jimmy avoids a pop up power bomb and Jimmy with a super kick. Both men are down. Jey and Riddle tag in and Riddle with a Pele Kick but Jey with a thrust kick and uppercut. Riddle with a body scissors to send Jey over the top rope to the floor. Sami helps Jey up and Solo stands between Kevin and Jey. Riddle with a pescado to Solo and Jey with a super kick to Owens. Riddle with a kick to Jey and he gets back in.

Jimmy makes the tag and Riddle with a foerarm to Jimmy. Jey with a super kick and then the Usos hit 1D for the three count.

Winners: The Usos

After the match, Jimmy, Jey, Sami, and Solo attack Riddle. Owens gets a chair and he hits the Usos with them and then he chases The Usos and Sami to the back.

Back in the ring, Solo with a super kick to Riddle followed by punches. Solo sets for the Samoan Spike and hits Riddle with it. Solo with a running hip into the corner. Solo gets a chair and brings it into the ring. Solo puts the chair around Riddle’s neck and he sets for a running hip into the corner and he hits it.

Solo leaves the ring and referees and the EMTs come to the ring to get Riddle out of there.

Backstage:

The Judgment Day are in the back and Rhea Ripley says Bayley and Asuka are both very good at what they do. What they are not is Rhea Ripley. When I am done with them tonight and they are crying in the ring as she moves on to Bianca Belair, the Raw women’s locker room will be calling her mami.

Rhea whispers something to Dominik and then she high fives Priest as she walks away.

– We take a look back at what happened after the match with Solo Sikoa and Matt Riddle. We see Riddle being stretchered away.

Backstage:

We go to the JBL Poker Invitational. We see a veritable Who’s Who of the world of wrestling, not poker. John welcomes everyone to the Poker Invitational. John tells Tozawa no one likes him. He says poker is a gentlemen’s and a gentlewomen’s game. Dexter Lumis and Johnny Gargano enter and John says he did not invite him. John says he probably doesn’t have the money for the buy in. Gargano pours out Dexter’s money and he is in.

In the Arena:

Before our next match starts, Becky Lynch comes down the aisle and she has some words for Bayley. Becky says she was up at the merch stand reminiscing about how much fun it was last week to fight Bayley and her associates.

Bayley says she has something to do in the ring so could Becky hurry it up.

Becky says it has been more than three years that they have faced each other one on one. Becky says she was gone and Bayley was here. Becky congratulates Bayley for running the division during the Thunderdome years. Becky says she came back but Bayley was gone. You came back and she was gone.

Bayley says we know the history. Bayley says she is going to win a triple threat match to face Bianca. Bayley says we don’t have to reminisce about the past. You think you can do anything. Bayley tells Becky the difference between them is when you are here, the spotlight is all about you. Becky does not care about anyone else. Bayley says she cares about the WWE. That is exactly what she has been doing while Becky was gone. That is why she has Dakota and Iyo with her. She says she is looking out for the future for you idiots and the locker room. Becky looks out for herself.

Becky says Bayley is looking out for them and you have been successful. Well, two thirds are successful because she sees two champions and one loser. Becky wishes Bayley luck in her match and maybe they can go one on one again if you are woman enough to face The Man.

The music hits and out comes Rhea Ripley now. Lynch stops and stares Ripley down. Ripley smirks at her while slowly walking to the ring. They face off and a referee comes out to try and keep them apart. The staredown goes on for more than a minute with Ripley and Lynch keeping eyes locked on each other. Ripley talks some trash and backs her way to the ring, still staring at Lynch. Ripley hits the ring an we go back to commercial.

#1 Contender’s Qualifier Triple Threat: Bayley vs. Asuka vs. Rhea Ripley

Asuka with a drop kick to Bayley and Rhea rolls up Asuka for a near fall. Bayley with a punch to Asuka and Bayley with a rollup on Rhea. Rhea with a punch and she sends Bayley to the floor. Rhea with a forearm to the back of the head followed by a suplex for a near fall. Rhea with forearms to Asuka and shoulders. Bayley attacks Rhea from behind but Rhea pushes her away. Bayley with a waist lock and Rhea holds on to the ropes on an O’Connor Roll attempt by Bayley. Rhea with punches and shoulders to Bayley in the corner. Rhea with a suplex to Bayley. Rhea with a hard Irish whip to Asuka followed by a forearm to Bayley. Rhea with a hard Irish whip to Bayley. Asuka punches Rhea but Rhea with a kick and a biel to Asuka. Rhea with a biel to Bayley.

Asuka with kicks to Rhea and Bayley with a Northern Lariat to Rhea. Asuka with a sliding kick to Rhea. Bayley and Asuka send Rhea shoulder first into the ring post. Bayley with a kick and side head lock. Asuka with a shoulder tackle but she misses a hip attack in the ropes. Bayley pulls Asuka to the floor and sends her into the ringside barrier. Rhea with a cannonball off the apron to Bayley and Asuka.

We are back and Rhea has Asuka down on the mat and holds her for Bayley to kick Asuka. Asuka sends Bayley to the apron and avoids a splash by Rhea. Asuka with a series of strikes and a forearm. Rhea blocks an Irish whip and Rhea with an Irish whip and she misses a splash in the corner. Rhea with a kick to the head and then Rhea sends Bayley to the mat. Asuka with a kick to Rhea but Asuka slips on Bayley’s back. Asuka goes for a bulldog on Rhea but Rhea pushes her away and Asuka with a clothesline to Bayley. Asuka with a codebreaker on Rhea for a near fall. Asuka with kicks to Rhea and Bayley.

Bayley with a rollup on Asuka for a near fall. Bayley has a kick blocked and Asuka with an ankle lock to Bayley. Bayley pulls Rhea’s hair and Rhea with a head butt. Asuka with a German suplex to Bayley and Bayley goes to the floor. Asuka with a round kick to Rhea. Bayley pulls Asuka to the floor. Bayley tries to get Rhea to work with her to take care of Asuka. Rhea says she is not going to be outsmarted by Bayley. Rhea turns her back and Bayley tries to attack her but Rhea stops her. Bayley and Rhea exchange forearms. Asuka with a double missile drop kick and she gets a near fall on Bayley and Rhea.

Asuka punches Rhea off the turnbuckles and Asuka with a missile drop kick to Bayley for a near fall. Asuka with an Asuka Lock on Bayley with a body scissors. Rhea with a drop kick to Bayley and her head collides with Asuka’s. Rhea gets a near fall. Rhea with short arm clotheslines to Asuka. Asuka with a float over into a cross arm breaker but Bayley with an elbow drop off the turnbuckles to get a near fall on Asuka. Bayley with punches and a belly-to-belly suplex to Asuka for a near fall. Rhea with head butts to Bayley and a Northern Lights suplex for a near fall.

Bayley rolls to the floor. Asuka misses a round kick and Rhea gets Asuka on her shoulders and she sends Asuka face first into the mat and Rhea gets a near fall. Rhea drop kicks Bayley off the apron. With Asuka on the mat, Rhea focuses on Bayley and goes to the floor and she comes off the ring steps but misses a cannonball. Back in the ring, Asuka misses a round kick on Bayley and counters a belly-to-belly suplex with a rollup for a near fall. Asuka with strikes and a back heel kick. Bayley blocks a missile drop kick and hits Rose Plant for the three count.

Winner: Bayley

After the match, Rhea with kicks and forearms to Asuka. Rhea with a kick to Asuka. Rhea gets Asuka up for RipTide and hits it. Rhea stands over Asuka.

Seth Rollins dances to the music in his head as we are told that Seth Rollins will face Bobby Lashley next week in a number one contender’s match.

We go to commercial.

– We are back and we see the tweet from Drew McIntyre saying he is not medically cleared for Smackdown. Taking Drew’s place in the tag title match will be Butch.

In the Arena:

Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring, dancing and taking in the humming.

Seth tells everyone that he will be facing Bobby Lashley next week to see becomes the Number One Contender for the US title. Seth says he has plenty of things to say to Bob, but it isn’t nice to say something when he isn’t here.

Bobby Lashley interrupts the moan-along with Seth’s music and he makes his way to the ring. Bobby says that he is here so what would you like to tell him. He tells Seth to be careful.

Seth says Bob hasn’t been the same since Crown Jewel when you lost to Brock. There is no shame to lose to Brock. What is with your obsession with Brock? Are you scared of Brock? He’s a little bigger and stronger than you.

Bobby says he knows that Seth is trying to get under his skin. Seth says if Bobby isn’t scared of Brock, then you must be jealous of him. Brock is a bigger star than you. He has won more championships than you. Brock had the career you wished… Bobby grabs Seth and says it is not about Brock, it is about you and me and the US title that should be around my waist.

Seth tells Bob to relax. Seth says that title is not going to fill the void in your heart knowing you can’t beat Brock. If you don’t get your temper right, beating you next week will be easier than the first time.

Lashley punches Seth but Seth punches back. Lashley sends Rollins to the floor and then Lashley runs Seth into the ringside barrier a few times. Lashley with punches to Rollins. Lashley gets Rollins up and officials come out to separate them. Seth puts up his hands and that means he is not . . . going to stop attacking Lashley and he runs at Bobby and punches him a few times. Rollins is sent into the ring while Lashley is told to go up the aisle.

Lashley runs past the officials and runs Rollins into the corner. Lashley is held back and Rollins breaks free but Lashley spears Petey Williams.

Backstage:

Byron Saxton waits in the back to talk to Austin Theory to find out his thoughts about what happened. Theory says he saw the past out there. Two former champions fighting for scraps. They are oblivous that the business has passed them. They are on his time and all of the cards are in his hands. What are a couple of challengers when the forever is beginning.

Mustafa Ali happens to stand there and he talks about checks that Theory cannot cash in. Theory says Ali has asked for opportunity after opportunity and he keeps losing. Why don’t you quit. Ali says he will continue to fight. He will get back in Theory’s face and become the US champion. Theory says they can wrestle tonight and when I beat you, I don’t want to hear the word opportunity come out of your mouth again.

Backstage:

We are back and the Poker Invitational is in full swing.

Chad says you need to know when to push or walk away. Chad and Gallows have a Shoooosh/Nerd battle. Corbin says he sees through Dexter’s bluffs and he is all in. Corbin shows a straight and Dexter shows a full house to win the hand. Corbin says Dexter is cheating. Dexter puts an axe on the table.

We go to the other table and Tozawa wins a hand but he stops Dominik from taking chips from him. Dominik says it is his show and he can do what he wants. If you have a problem with him, you have a problem with THE Judgment Day. Dominik says that Tozawa is as small as his deadbeat dad. Dominik and Tozawa get up and John tells them not to fight in there. Tozawa says he will see him in the ring.

Austin Theory vs. Mustafa Ali for the United States Championship

They lock up and Theory sends Ali to the mat. Ali with a side head lock and Theory with a shoulder tackle. Ali with a forearm in the corner but Theory with a running forearm to Ali. Theory chokes Ali in the corner. Theory with an Irish whip but Ali flips over and hits a satellite head scissors. Ali with a drop kick to knock Theory off the apron. Ali with a suicide dive. Theory sends Ali face first into the ring post and then into the corner of the ringside barrier.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Ali with punches and chops. Theory with an Irish whip but Ali slides into the corner and kicks Theory and hits a rolling neck breaker. Ali with a lungblower for a near fall. Theory with a back elbow but Ali with a forearm to Theory on the turnbuckles. Ali climbs the turnbuckels and hits a Frankensteiner despite Theory’s attempt to block it. Ali with a satellite DDT for a near fall. Theory grabs Ali’s ankle as Ali tries to get to the turnbuckles. Ali kicks Theory. Theory crotches Ali on the turnbuckles and then he kicks Ali while he hangs on to the turnbuckles with one leg. Theory with more kicks and the referee warns Theory.

Theory punches Ali and the referee pulls Theory away. Dolph Ziggler with a super kick to Theory. The referee calls for the bell.

After the match, Ali yells at Ziggler for what he did. Theory hits Ziggler from behind and Ziggler collides with Ali. Theory with punches to Ziggler and then he sends Ali shoulder first into the ring post. Theory with A Town Down to Ziggler.

Backstage:

We go back to the Poker Invitational and John is on the phone and Miz shows up. Miz says there was an oversight because he was not invited. John says he didn’t know that he was a poker player. Miz is told about the buy in and Miz says he doesn’t have the funds to cover it right now. John says everyone paid cash. Miz offers his Rolex and John says it isn’t real. Miz has a disgusted look on his face and he walks away.

Backstage:

We are back at the Poker Invitational and Corbin had four of a kind and then when he goes for the chips he shows many hands. AJ and Corbin have words and Corbin pushes AJ. John calls them a bunch of barbarians and he yells at them for ruining his Inviational. It looks like we have a six man tag match. Johnny says it looks like Dexter won and Dexter gives the dealer a tip.

Backstage:

Cathy Kelley is in the back with Bianca Belair and she asks her about maybe having to face Bayley again. Bianca says what Bayley did tonight was impressive. She says she would have been proud to face anyone in the matches, even Rhea Ripley. Rhea could have taken that loss better than take out her aggression on Asuka. Bianca is asked about the other match. Bianca says they are all good opponents. She says she sees why Alexa was a champion. Nikki is a little crazy. Bianca says Becky has faced her many times in the past. She says she will be ready for anyone.

AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson vs. Chad Gable, Otis, and Baron Corbin

Corbin and AJ start things off. Corbin with a knee and forearms. Corbin with a shoulder tackle. Corbin with a shoulder and AJ with a punch and kicks. AJ with a DDT. Anderson and Gable tag in. They lock up and Gable with a snap mare and a take down into a figure four with the legs. Gable with a side head lock. Gable with a shoulder tackle and Anderson with a hip toss. Gallows tags in and they hit a double shoulder tackle. Gallows with a wrist lock.

Gable with an escape and we get another Shoooosh/Nerd battle. Gallows with an uppercut and Anderson tags in. Gable with a double thrust to the throat and Corbin tags in. Corbin with a punch and he punches Anderson in the corner. Otis tags in and connects with shoulders. Otis sends Anderson to the mat and he follows with a forearm to the back. Corbin tags in and he punches Anderson. Corbin with an Irish whip and he does the wacky slide and hits a clothesline for a near fall. Corbin with elbows to Anderson. Corbin tries for a belly-to-back suplex but he lands on his feet and he tags in AJ. AJ with a series of strikes to Corbin after knocking Otis off the apron. Gable pulls the ropes down and AJ goes to the floor. Otis with a clothesline.

We are back and Otis with a series of forearms. Otis with a snap mare and a splash to AJ. Corbin tags in and he punches AJ. Corbin sends AJ to the apron. AJ goes for a springboard move but Corbin with a punch and he gets a near fall. Gable tags in and he kicks AJ and applies an arm bar. AJ with punches as Gable keeps AJ from making the tag. Gable punches Anderson off the apron. AJ with a back body drop and he tags in Gallows but Anderson distracted the referee so Anderson is sent to the apron. Gable feeds AJ to Corbin for Deep Six and Gable gets a near fall. Otis tags in and hits a splash in the corner. Otis sends AJ into the turnbuckles but misses a splash. AJ with a Pele Kick. Anderson and Gable tag in and Anderson with clotheslines and elbows followed by a slam and back senton.

Anderson knocks Corbin off the apron. Anderson with a kick and a neck breaker off the turnbuckles for a near fall. Gable with a leg pick into an ankle lock. Anderson rolls through and he catches Gable off the turnbuckles for a spinebuster and he gets a near fall. Corbin with a choke breaker to AJ and an elbow to Gallows. Corbin goes for the wacky slide but since it is the second time. AJ with a sliding forearm. Galows with a boot to Corbin. Otis with an exploder to Gallows. AJ with a Phenomenal Forearm to Otis. Gable with a German suplex to AJ. Anderson with punches and an uppercut. Gable goes for Chaos Theory on Anderson but Gallows makes the tag and they hit Magic Killer for the three count.

Winners: AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson

– Alexa Bliss prepares for her match and she is joined by Lilly while Bray Wyatt related visions appear on the monitor behind her.

Backstage:

We are back and Byron Saxton is with Candice LeRae. Byron asks her about her match against Iyo Sky next week and if she is a marked woman. Candice says she has known these women for a long time. She was getting revenge for the injury they gave her. She had to send them a message. Candice says she has so much more to fight for and she won’t let anyone push her around.

Johnny and Dexter show up and Johnny tells Candice that Dexter won and Johnny keeps Candice from saying a naughty word.

Akira Tozawa vs. Dominik Mysterio

Tozawa with a back heel kick but he misses a spinning heel kick. Tozawa with a kick and Dominik with an Irish whip but Tozawa with a boot and head scissors take down. Dominik sends Tozawa into the turnbuckles and Dominik with kicks in the corner. Dominik with a suplex and he holds on for a second one. Dominik holds on for the third Amigo and hits it for a near fall. Dominik with a reverse chin lock. Tozawa with a head scissors and a Shining Wizard for a near fall. Tozawa with a kick and a rollup followed by a round kick.

Tozawa pulls Dominik into the corner and he goes up top. Tozawa misses the back senton when Dominik moves. Dominik goes up top for a frog splash for the three count.

Winner: Dominik Mysterio

After the match, Dominik picks up Tozawa but The Street Profits come to the ring and The Judgment Day slowly leave the ring.

– Becky Lynch puts on her jacket as she prepares for her Triple Threat Match. She also puts on sunglasses.

Backstage:

We go to Adam Pearce trying to stop Bobby Lashley so he can talk about what Bobby did to Pete Williams earlier. He tells Bobby he cannot do that again. He says that he knows it was not intentional. He says if it happens again, his hands are tied as to what he can do. Bobby asks what happens if one of his officials gets in his way. Bobby tells Adam not to have any of them in his way next week.

– Next week, Candice LeRae faces Iyo Sky, Bobby Lashley faces Seth Rollins in a Number One Contender Match. Bayley will face the winner of the main event to see who becomes the Number One Contender for the Raw Women’s Title.

Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross make their way to the ring as we go to commercial.

Back after the break and Becky is out last.

Nikki slams her jacket into the mat and Becky with a shot to the throat and Alexa with a drop kick to send Nikki to the floor. Becky pushes Alexa away. Becky with a leg pick and Alexa with a rollup for a near fall. Becky with a leg sweep for a near fall. Alexa with a jackknife cover for a near fall. Becky with a back slide for a near fall. Alexa with a punch and snap mare for a near fall. Becky with a thrust kick to Alexa and a baseball slide to Nikki. Alexa sets for Sister Abigail but Becky counters and Alexa gets a near fall with a rollup.

Alexa with an STO and a double knee drop. Nikki sends Alexa to the mat. Nikki with splashes to Alexa and Becky in the corner. Nikki misses a splash and Becky with a forearm to Nikki off Alexa’s back. Becky with kicks and punches in the corner. Becky with a springboard kick to Nikki and a springboard back heel kick to Alexa. Becky with an exploder to Nikki. Alexa with punches and forearms to Nikki. Nikki with a kick and a neck breaker. Becky with a running forearm to Nikki followed by a back heel kick and uppercuts. Becky blocks a kick and a leg sweep followed by a bulldog. Becky sends Nikki into the turnbuckles and connects with a clothesline. Becky goes to the turnbuckles for a leg drop and hits it for a near fall.

Becky with forearms to Nikki and Nikki blocks a uranage. Becky with an exploder and Nikki goes to the floor. Alexa with a kick but Becky escapes a DDT attempt. Alexa sends Becky to the apron and Alexa sends Becky into the ring post after Nikki distracts Becky on the apron. Alexa with a cannonball off the apron to Becky and Nikki. Alexa brings Nikki into the ring and gets a near fall. Alexa pulls Nikki into the corner and she goes up top for Twisted Bliss but Becky tries to stop her. Alexa kicks Becky to the floor. They continue the exchange with Becky gaining the advantage. Nikki with head butts to Becky’s midsection. Nikki goes up top and hits a cross body on Becky for a near fall. Alexa grabs Nikki but Nikki backs Alexa into the corner. Nikki with shoulders and kicks. Nikki with a splash into the corner followed by a bulldog. Alexa with a back elbow and Alexa sends Nikki to the floor. Alexa goes for a baseball slide but Nikki catches Alexa. Nikki with a cross body to Alexa against the apron. Nikki sets for a move in the ropes but Alexa slaps Nikki. Nikki with a shoulder. Nikki sets for a hanging DDT and Becky with a leg drop and she gets a near fall on Alexa. Alexa rolls to the floor.

Becky and Nikki fight to the apron and Becky goes for a uranage off the apron and then she sets for a German suplex to the floor. Nikki stops her. Nikki sets for a pile driver on the apron but Becky blocks it and Becky with a uranage on the apron.

Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky pull Becky to the floor and they attack her. Iyo sends Becky into the ring post and Dakota sends Becky into the apron. They get Becky up for a power bomb through the table. Alexa with Twisted Bliss to Nikki for the three count.
