Former WWE Star Makes AEW Debut

Trent Seven made his AEW debut on the December 9 episode of AEW Rampage.

On tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Orange Cassidy offered to defend the AEW All-Atlantic Championship against Kip Sabian. When Sabian didn’t accept the invitation, Cassidy told him to find someone who would challenge for the gold on Rampage.

On Friday night, Sabian revealed that he picked Trent Seven to face Cassidy During the bout, The Butcher and The Blade came to the ring, but Best Friends (Trent Beretta & Chuck Taylor) brawled with them to take them out of the equation. Cassidy ultimately won the match and retained the title. Though Sabian and Seven attacked the champion after the bout, Dustin Rhodes made the save.

Seven was previously featured in NXT and NXT UK as a member of Mustache Mountain alongside Tyler Bate. The duo held both the NXT Tag Team Championship and he NXT UK Tag Team Championship. Seven later turned on Bate the June 16 episode of NXT UK. WWE released Seven in August 2022 following the announcement that NXT UK would be going on hiatus ahead of the launch of NXT Europe in 2023.

In recent months, Seven has continued to compete on the independent scene. He challenged Joe Hendry for the IMPACT Digital Media Championship at the Kinguin PTW #3: Legends show in Poland on November 26.
