Kalisto made a comeback to the WWE as a guest coach and producer for NXT. Reports reveal that Kalisto, formerly of Lucha House Party, was spotted at the WWE Performance Center and a Friday night live event. Additionally, he produced women’s matches at the Dade City, Florida, house show.
Currently, there has yet to be a confirmation from WWE on whether they will bring him back after his guest appearance. This was the first time Kalisto was working with the market leaders since they released him in April 2021, bringing an eight-year stint with the promotion to an end. If you wager on WWE events on Canada online sportsbooks, you must know about Kalisto’s performances. His return brought back nostalgic memories to his fans.
Samuray del Sol
After parting with the company, Kalito returned to his pre-WWE ring name, Samuray del Sol. Also, since his departure, he has only worked nine matches, including a one-off AEW Dynamite appearance in November 2021.
Some reports from the industry claim that IMPACT Wrestling had deliberated about bringing him in at some point. However, that did not happen.
The Rise of Kalisto
Kalisto made his professional wrestling debut in 2006, working under a mask and ring name Samuray del Sol, Spanish for Samurai of the Sun. He went on to establish himself as one of the high flyers in the area.
His rise saw him work for more significant promotions in 2011. In 2012 Dragon Gate USA signed him in 2012. In the same year, he made his debut for AAA, a Mexican promotion.
Other promotions he has worked with include National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), Pro Wrestling Guerilla (PWG), and Independent Wrestling Association Mid-South (IWA-MS).
He joined the WWE in 2013 and was assigned to the promotion’s developmental territory, NXT. It is here that they renamed him Kalisto. He won the NXT Tag Team Championship together with Sin Cara as part of The Lucha Dragons.
Honors – What Kalisto Won During his WWE Stint
Kalisto was promoted to the WWE main roster in February 2015, where he clinched the WWE United States Championship twice. He also won the Cruiserweight championship. Early in 2018, he teamed up with fellow luchadors Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik to form Lucha House Party. He separated from the group in 2020 before the company released him in April 2021.
The Triple H Effect
Since Triple H took over creative, several WWE stars who the company released have made a return. Before Kalisto’s return, former WWE star Wesley Blake has returned as a guest coach at the Performance Center.
Blake is a former member of the Forgotten Sons. Currently, he competes as Westin Blake and is held in high regard at WWE’s training facility because he has been there for a long time.
