WWE SmackDown Results (11/18) Hatford, CT – We are live from the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut, as the Brawling Brutes make their way to the ring led by Sheamus. Drew McIntyre’s music hits and he joins them on the ramp as they are ready for WAR!
The announcers show us what happened last week with Drew, The Brutes and The Bloodline. Cole hypes War Games at Survivor Series now, confirming The Bloodline vs. The Brutes, McIntyre and a mystery partner.
Sheamus asks if the mic is on this time and he asks if the people can hear him. Sheamus says there are a lot of people who are happy that Drew is standing by his side for the match at War Games considering their history. Sheamus says people question if they trust each other. The twenty year rivalry has created mutual respect and a bond. Sheamus says he asked Drew to be his best man when he got married a few weeks ago. Sheamus says that they want a Brute-y.
Drew says he is feeling a little Brute-y. Sheamus says when it comes down to it, there is no one he would rather be in the trenches with than Drew. Sheamus asks Drew to be an honorary Brute. Drew says nobody knows what it is like to be outnumbered by the Bloodline than him. They multiply like rabbits. When the odds are even, that is a different story. If I am going to go to war, I want to go to war with my brother. Drew and Sheamus shake hands and hug.
Ridge says this is nice and he tells everyone this is FIGHT NIGHT. Butch says at Survivor Series, it is WAR GAMES. Drew asks who can be the fifth man. Sheamus says he is going to tell you who the fifth man is.
Sami Zayn interrupts. He says he speaks on behalf of the Bloodline and he says they don’t care who the fifth man is. Sami says they are feeling great and even a little Uce-y about the whole thing. Sami asks if they think they are getting in their heads. Sami is the master strategist. Sami says he does not make a lot of guarantees, but he is putting his name on this one. The Bloodline will win War Games. Sami says he will run right through Butch and give them a taste of what to expect next Saturday.
Sheamus says he is delighted that Sami is so confident. When you find out who the fifth men is, you are probably going to crap your Uce-y pants. It is the last thing you are going to expect.

— We are back with the brackets of the SmackDown World Cup. The winner of the Ricochet/Ali match has to face Brawn Strowman. The winner of the Zayn/Butch match faces Santos Escobar.
Earlier Today:
We see footage of Mustafa Ali being told he is cleared but the doctor tells him he advises against it. Ricochet shows up and he says Ali needs to think about his career. Ali says he can breathe and he can fight so he will see him out there.
Ricochet vs. Mustafa Ali in a First Round Smackdown World Cup Match
They lock up and Ricochet with a rollup for a near fall. Ricochet with a take down and a jackknife cover for a near fall. Ali with a rollup for a near fall. Ricochet with a waist lock and a leg sweep for a near fall. They lock up and go to a stalemate. Ali with a waist lock out of the corner and Ricochet backs Ali into the corner. Ricochet with an elbow but Ali with a forearm to the back of the head. Ali with punches and he sends Ricochet into the turnbuckles. Ali with an Irish whip and clothesline for a near fall. Ali with a chop and an Irish whip. Ali is sent to the apron and Ricochet with a forearm. Ali with forearms from the apron and Ricochet with a punch to the ribs and a forearm. Ali with a lungblower off the turnbuckles but both men are down. Ricochet rolls to the floor.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Ricochet kicks Ali in the back. Ricochet with an uppercut. We see footage from the break when Ricochet hit a superplex. Back to live action, Ali with a head scissors that sends Ricochet to the floor. Ali drop kicks Ricochet off the apron. Ali with a kick to send Ricochet back to the floor. Ali with a pescado but Ricochet holds on and rolls through and hits a Michinoku Driver on the floor. Ricochet sends Ali back into the ring and Ricochet goes up top. Ricochet misses a Phoenix Splash and Ali with a Koji Clutch.
Ricochet gets to the ropes to force a break. Ali tries to get Ricochet on his shoulders but Ali has to let him go. Ricochet grabs Ali off the turnbuckles and Ricochet hits a Dragon suplex and clothesline. Ricochet with a quebrada for a near fall. The referee checks on Ali and Ali wants to continue the match. Ricochet misses a knee and Ali with a Victory Bomb for a near fall. Ricochet with a kick to the ribs. Ali with an Irish whip and Ricochet floats over. Ali with a tornado DDT and then he goes up top. Ali misses a 450 splash and Ricochet pulls himself up to the turnbuckles. Ricochet with a shooting star press for the three count.
Winner: Ricochet (advances to face Braun Strowman)
After the match, Ricochet celebrates his victory and then checks on Ali and helps him to the back.
Backstage:
The Usos, Sami, and Solo are in the back. Jey yells at Sami for guaranteeing a victory because they don’t know who the fifth is. Sami asks Jey if he doesn’t think they are going to win. Jimmy says they have to be on the same page because Roman is on the way. Jimmy tells Jey and Sami to chill. Jimmy tells Jey he doesn’t have to worry about Sami. Jimmy says they have to figure out who the fifth member is. Sami comes back and he talks to Jimmy about what they discussed earlier.
We go to commercial.
– We take a look back at the Usos successfully defending the WWE Tag titles last week against the New Day.
Backstage:
The New Day are in the back and Woods says they know what they had to do to have the record so they are not in the best mood. Kofi says they are disappointed because of what they had to do.
Imperium shows up and Vinci says they still hold the record for being clowns. Kaiser says that The New Day is proof of what is wrong with the dancing and the trombones for the last eight years. It is up to them to restore the honor of the ring.
Woods and Kofi mock Kaiser and then say that Gunther looks like Lurch. Woods says The Imperium don’t want to handle this the right way, so you can face us when we find a third man. Gunther accepts the challenge.
Backstage:
Madcap Moss is backstage warming up when real-life girlfriend Emma walks up to bring him a bottle of water. She asks how his voice is doing. He says he can still barely talk three weeks after the Kross Jacket from Karrion Kross. He says tonight is about revenge. Moss goes on about being humiliated and embarrassed but Emma interrupts and says tonight will be a fresh start. She says she knows how good he is, and he’s more athletic than Kross. Emma tells Moss to use his speed because it’s a weapon. She tells Moss to take it to Kross tonight, you’ve got this. Moss heads to the ring as we go to tommercial.
Madcap Moss vs. Karrion Kross
Moss with a jumping knee into the corner as the bell rings. Moss with punches and the referee pulls him out of the corner. Moss with more punches and kicks. Moss blocks a kick and punches Kross. Moss with a kick and suplex.. Kross with a punch and Moss with a back elbow. Moss clotheslines Kross over the top rope to the floor. Moss goes to the floor and sends Kross into the ringside barrier. Moss sends Kross back into the rign. Kross with a Tiger suplex and kicks in the corner. Kross chokes Moss in the ropes.
Scarlett slaps Moss when the referee was dealing with Kross. Kross wants Moss to hit him and Moss with forearms. Kross with a knee to the midsection. Moss with a clothesline and a running forearm followed by a running shoulder tackle. Moss with a running shoulder into the corner and a second one. Moss with another shoulder into the corner and a fallaway slam. Kross goes to the floor and Moss follows but Kross gets back into the ring. Moss has some words with Scarlett and Kross with a kick and he sends Moss into the ring post. Kross with the Kross Jacket but Moss backs Kross into the corner and falls back to the mat. Kross releases the hold but locks it back in and Moss taps out.
Winner: Karrion Kross
After the match, Kross takes his time releases the hold and referees come out to do their raptor training to stop Kross. Emma comes to the ring to check on Moss.
– Bray Wyatt is next, but first… We go to commercial.
In the Arena:
We are back and Bray Wyatt makes his way to the ring.
Bray introduces himself and he says he has started to realize that he has been conditioned to be a certain way. When you are conditioned to be a certain way, you feel that change is impossible. I was conditioned to be strong and to take. I was conditioned that fear was respect. I started to look at the path I left behind me. It is filled in ashes and blood. I started to think why do I do the things that I do and can I actually change.
If I was LA Knight, I would know exactly how to handle this situation, and it makes me sad. I feel real strong about coming out here to apologize to LA Knight for what I did to him. I had a moment of weakness and I strayed from my path.
LA Knight comes out.
Knight says he has been thinking about the cheap shot heard ‘round the world from last week. Every time I think I about it, it makes me angry. Now you are going to apologize. I am conflicted. You talked about fear and respect. I look in your eyes and there is something that tells me that last week, the fact that I didn’t fear you maybe garnered him some respect. Knight says the rarest commodity around here is respect. You say you understand me and get me. Nobody has ever understood me or got me.
I am not sure what to make of your apology but you respect me. Knight slaps Bray and gets out of the ring. He tells Bray now they are even and apology accepted. Knight says we are done and you go your way and I go mine.
Bray says we are even. There is a lot he wants to do to Knight but he won’t. He is going to fight his urges. The decision you make will change your entire life. Bray offers his hand to Knight and Knight slaps Bray again. Knight says he has wanted to do that all week. An image shows up on the TitanTron and Bray stares at it and Knight.
– We take a look at what happened after Shotzi earned her title match at Survivor Series, with Shayna Baszler choking her out.
– Baszler makes her way to the ring accompanied by Ronda Rousey as we go to commercial.
Backstage:
Karrion Kross and Scarlett walk in the back. The Usos stop Kross and ask if he is the fifth member. Jimmy says it isn’t him. Kross says he is not a follower. Jimmy says we won’t see you when Sami faces Butch? You aren’t trying to make your name off the Bloodline. Kross says when he takes the titles from Roman, it will be on his own time. He will not do it as part of a pack, he will do it on his own.
Shayna Baszler vs. Shotzi
Shotzi focuses on Ronda on the apron instead of Shayna and Shayna with a forearm and kicks. Shayna with a knee and forearm to the back. Shotzi with a punch and an inside cradle for a near fall. Shotzi with a clothesline and Ronda tries to trip Shotzi and Shayna hits Shotzi from behind. Shayna kicks Shotzi in the corner. Shayna with a snap mare and a double wrist lock. Shotzi with punches and Shayna with a forearm. Shayna misses a knee and Shotzi with kicks and a rolling elbow. Shotzi with a scorpion kick and Shayna is pulled to the floor by Ronda.
Shotzi gets in Ronda’s face and then sends Shayna back into the ring. Ronda gets on the apron and she distracts Shotzi by playing with her hair. Shayna misses a clothesline and Shotzi with an enzuigiri for a near fall. Shotzi goes to the apron and Shayna pulls her back into the ring. Shayna with a German suplex for a near fall. Shayna sennds Shotzi to the floor and then goes to the apron. Shotzi with a drop kick and elbow followed by a wraparound bulldog. Shotzi with a back senton in the ropes. Shayna sends Shotzi into the ring post when Ronda distracts Shotzi. Shayna chokes Shotzi in the ropes but when Raquel’s music plays, Shayna releases the hold and forgets she is in a match. Shayna looks at Raquel and tries to stomp on the elbow but she misses. Shotzi with a rollup for the three count.
Winner: Shotzi
Backstage:
LA Knight is walking backstage, heading for the back door, when Megan Morant stops him. She asks if he’s leaving in a hurry because he’s afraid of Bray Wyatt. LA asks who’s afraid? Who apologized to who out there? LA asks if Morant just hangs around when she’s done working. He says by the way, her questions are trash and that’s not an insult, it’s just a fact of life. Yeah. Goodnight. Knight walks off through the door as the Wyatt graphics flash on the screen. Back to commercial.
– Back from the break and we see LA Knight laid out under a bunch of debris in a back room. Officials start pulling items off him but he’s face-down. So much for Knight leaving the building?
Imperium vs. The New Day and Braun Strowman
We go back to the ring and out comes Imperium – Giovanni Vinci, Ludwig Kaiser and WWE Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER. The New Day is out first for their team – Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. The music hits and out next comes Braun Strowman to a big pop.
Braun comes out as a brawl breaks out at ringside between the other Superstars with GUNTHER staring Braun down. Kaiser, Vinci, Kofi and Woods end up in the ring for a fight. GUNTHER is backing away to his corner from the floor. Woods and Kofi clear the ring of Vinci and Kaiser. Kofi leaps off the top but Vinci and Kaiser catch him at ringside, driving him into the edge of the apron. Woods comes in but GUNTHER levels him with a big chop. Braun comes through the ropes and shoves GUNTHER.
Braun yells for the bell and it rings. Braun wants to fight but GUNTHER retreats to the floor to regroup with Vinci and Kaiser. Fans boo as we go back to commercial.
We are back and Woods with forearms to Vinci as he tries to get to the corner to make a tag. Vinci pulls Woods down. Kaiser tags in and Vinci with a spinebuster. Kaiser with a kick and then he knocks Kofi off the apron. Woods with forearms but Kaiser prevents the tag. Kaiser goes for a belly-to-back suplex and Woods lands on his feet. Woods kicks Kaiser away and Braun tags in. Braun with a shoulder tackle to Vinci. Vinci with a forearm and GUNTHER tags in. Vinci bounces off Braun.
GUNTHER with a chop and Braun does not like what happened. Braun chases GUNTHER around the ring and Braun knocks Vinci and Kaiser down with shoulder tackles. Braun gets GUNTHER up but GUNTHER gets to his feet. GUNTHER with a chop and Braun with a spinebuster for a near fall.
GUNTHER kicks Strowman in the leg and Kaiser tags in. Kofi tags in as well and hits a cross body off the turnbuckles. Kofi kicks Vinci off the apron. Kaiser avoids Trouble in Paradise. Woods tags in and they hit Midnight Hour for the three count.
Winners: The New Day and Braun Strowman
Backstage:
Kayla Braxton stops Braun Strowman going through Gorilla. She mentions the message sent to GUNTHER. Braun says he is looking forward to winning the tournament and taking the Intercontinental Title from GUNTHER. Ricochet says if Braun looks past the flippy flippers, it might cause you problems.
We go to commercial.
– Next week, in addition to the two semifinal matches in the World Cup, Shotzi and Raquel Rodriguez face Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey. Drew McIntyre and Sheamus face the Usos for the advantage at War Games.
Sami Zayn vs. Butch in a First Round Match in the Smackdown World Cup
They lock up and Sami backs Butch into the corner but misses a punch. Butch with a wrist lock and take down. Butch puts the hand on the mat and stomps on the elbow. Butch with a La Magistral for a near fall. Butch with a clothesline for a near fall. Sami with a kick and side head lock. Sami catches Butch on a leap frog and hits a sit out power bomb for a near fall. Sami punches Butch. Sami sends Butch over the top rope to the floor. Sami and the Usos want Sheamus, Ridge, and Drew to get involved. Sami sends Butch to the ring and Butch with a tornado DDT for a near fall. Butch with an enzuigiri in the corner and Sami grabs the leg when Butch goes to the turnbuckles. Butch kicks Sami to the mat but Sami pushes Butch off the turnbuckles into the ringside barrier.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Butch works on the wrist while both men are on the turnbuckles. Sami sends Butch to the mat and Butch with a forearm as Sami comes off the turnbuckles. Butch gets a near fall. Butch sets for a Brogue but Jey gets on the apron and Butch stops him. Sami with a rollup for a near fall. Butch with an enzuigiri. Jimmy distracts the referee and Jey with a kick to Butch’s head. Sami with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall.
Everyone not in the match start to brawl at ringside. Drew and Solo go over the announce table. Jimmy and Jey work over Sheamus and send him into the announce table.
Butch pulls at the fingers and goes up top. Butch with a moonsault off the turnbuckles onto Jimmy and Jey. Butch is stopped by Sami and Sami with an exploder into the turnbuckles. Jey stops Sami from hitting a Helluva Kick. Butch with Bitter End for the three count.
Winner: Butch (advances to face Santos Escobar in semifinals)
After the match, the music hits as Butch vs. Santos Escobar in the semi-finals is confirmed for next week. Solo rushes in and drops Butch with the Spinning Solo. Drew rocks Solo and sends him into the corner, then unloads to beat him down. Holland sends Sami to the floor, then the barrier. Solo and Drew trade shots in the corner. Jimmy and Holland are also fighting at ringside. The music interrupts and out comes The Head of The Table with Paul Heyman at his side. The brawling continues with Drew stomping on Solo, and Holland stomping on Uso. Reigns marches to the ring and meets Holland at the bottom of the ramp with a big Superman Punch, then a Spear for Butch as he charges.
Reigns is fired up now. Drew watches from the ring and removes his shirt, telling Reigns to bring it. Reigns enters the ring but Solo grabs Drew from behind. Drew blocks and tosses Solo to the floor. Drew turns back around to a big Spear from Reigns. Reigns walks over and approaches Sami, who is down in the corner. Sheamus comes from behind and Reigns turns back around. Sheamus and Reigns size each other up now. Reigns strikes first and they start brawling. Sami attacks Sheamus from behind to make the ave. Sheamus drops Sami but turns around to a big Superman Punch from Reigns. Reigns plays to the crowd and he’s fired up. They cheer and boo. Reigns waits in the corner for a Spear but the music hits and out comes Kevin Owens to a big pop.
Owens slowly walks out as Reigns stares him down from the ring. Owens drops Jimmy at ringside, then superkicks Jey as he runs over. Owens and Reigns are still staring at each other. Reigns warns him to stay out of the ring. Owens hits the apron and then enters as fans cheer him on. Fans chant “holy shit!” now as Owens and Reigns meet in the middle of the ring. Reigns strikes first and they brawl now. Owens beats Reigns down in the corner, then stomps away. Sami returns to the ring and Owens turns around to see him. The former best friends stare each other down in the middle of the ring. Fans chant “Uce!” now. Reigns nails a Superman Punch to Owens from the side. Sami goes out and sends Butch into the barrier.
Reigns goes for a Spear on Owens but a kick blocks it. Owens then drops Reigns with a Stunner for a big pop. Sami is shocked as he looks on from the floor. Reigns is down on the floor now, trying to recover. The Bloodline looks on from ringside as Owens, McIntyre, Sheamus, Holland and Butch stare them down. SmackDown goes off the air.
