AEW Dynamite Results (11/23) Chicago, IL

AEW Dynamite Results (11/23) Chicago, IL – We are live from the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, IL, where William Regal is standing in the middle of the ring.

Regal says fans won’t hear from the new AEW Champion until next week. He says he sent MJF an email but we won’t hear about that until next week. He says that’s when MJF will be back. As soon as he finishes saying that, “Wild Thing” hits and out comes Jon Moxley.

As Mox nears the ring, Bryan Danielson sprints down and gets in between he and Regal. He pleads with Mox not to hurt Regal, pointing out he has a bad neck and bleeding of the brain. He smacks Mox and then pleads some more with him to ignore the boos and the crowd and just listen.

Danielson talks about his dads struggling in the past and tries relating it to their current situation with Regal. Mox gets in Regal’s face and says he wants only one thing from him. He tells him to run. Regal walks off as fans taunt him.

Keith Lee & Shane Strickland Talk

We shoot backstage where Renee Paquette is with Keith Lee. She says we all saw what happened between he and Shane Strickland at Full Gear. She asks for his thoughts. He walks in and Lee warns him to choose his words carefully. Strickland covers the camera and says let’s talk.

AEW All-Atlantic Championship
Orange Cassidy (C) vs. Jake Hager

The bell sounds and we’re off-and-running with this one.

The two go nose to nose and Cassidy does his hands in the pocket, wimpy kicks routine. He tries to take Hager’s hat but Hager isn’t having it. Finally he knocks it off Hager’s head and after picking it up, everyone from the J.A.S. in Hager’s corner tries getting it, but Cassidy avoids them all.

He dives onto Hager on the floor, but Hager catches him and slams him into the steel ring post. On that note, we head to a mid-match commercial break as the match continues.

As we return from the break we see Hager is still in control of the offense. He dominates for a while but then gets hit with a big spot. Moments later, Cassidy gets a roll-up out of nowhere and gets the three-count to retain.

Winner and STILL AEW All-Atlantic Champion: Orange Cassidy

The House Of Black Returns

Once the match wraps up, we see The Factory and QT Marshall come out and approach Orange Cassidy about giving out AEW All-Atlantic title shots, As they reach the ring, the lights go out, and when they come back on, Julia Hart is standing on the ramp.

The rest of the House of Black appears in the ring behind Romero, Cassidy and Best Friends. They level them, then do the same thing to The Factory. Murphy drags Cole Karter up on the ramp, then hands him to Brody King, who delivers Dante’s Inferno. Malakai Black then grabs a mic and tells members of the House of Black to rise.

AEW Title Eliminator Tournament
Ethan Page vs. Ricky Starks

The bell sounds and we’re off-and-running with this tourney bout. We see Starks is still heavily taped up following his attack and match with Lance Archer.

Page dominates throughout the majority of the match by focusing on the softened up ribs and mid-section of “Absolute.” Starks hits a big spear but hurts himself in the process.

As the action spills out to the floor and Page takes over control of the offense once again, we head to a mid-match commercial break.

We return from the break and see Stokely Hathaway getting involved, The referee ejects him from ringside.

The action resumes inside the ring where we see Starks hit a big superplex off the top-rope. He ends up hitting back-to-back spears after countering out of the Ego’s Edge. He picks up the win to advance.

Winner of the AEW Title Eliminator tournament: Ricky Starks

We then head to a video of Wardlow, who warns Samoa Joe that he’s coming for him and the TNT Championship.

Jade Cargill Announces Baddies Celebration For Next Week

We shoot to video footage of Jade Cargill and Bow Wow’s confrontation in Miami and then we shoot to Renee Paquette who is standing by with her and The Baddies. Cargill has no comment but hypes next week’s Baddies Celebration.

The Elite vs. Death Triangle

We head back inside the arena where The Elite make their grand entrance. Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks settle inside the ring and their music dies down.

Now the theme for Death Triangle plays and out comes PAC and The Lucha Bros. Omega and Fenix kick things off for their respective teams as the bell sounds to get this one off and running.

Don Callis joins the gang on commentary as this match gets underway.

Omega and Fenix begin the action. The bell rings and Omega gets in Fenix’s face. Omega hits Fenix with a rising knee, then follows it up with a spinebuster. He sends Fenix to the outside, then looks to go flying, but Fenix catches him with a cutter. Death Triangle then delivers a triple drop kick to Omega before the trio hit the Risky Business. PAC tags in and Omega delivers a back elbow to him. Omega delivers a bulldog, then goes for a pin but PAC kicks out. Matt tags in and takes a lap about the ring. He delivers an elbow.

Back from the break, Omega bites PAC’s arm. PAC fires back with a German Suplex before tagging in Penta. Matt tags in and Penta hits him with a DDT and a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Fenix tags in and delivers an arm drag. Matt hits a superkick, then tags Omega back in. PAC tags in and Omega hits a V-Trigger to the back of his head. He follows it up with a Snap Dragon Suplex, then tags in Matt. Matt takes off PAC’s face guard before The Elite deliver the BTE Trigger. Matt goes for a pin, but Penta and Fenix break it up. Nick tosses them to the outside and takes them out. Omega tags in and delivers the V-Trigger, then sets up for One Winged Angel. PAC escapes and runs the ropes, but Omega catches him and delivers the GTS. Matt tags in and delivers a sneaky low blow to PAC while the referee’s back is turned. Matt grabs the ring hammer, but Penta sneaks up on him and uses a hammer of his own. PAC pins Matt for the win.

Winners: Death Triangle

After the match, Fenix gets in Penta’s face.

Thunder Rosa Relinquishes AEW Women’s Title

We then head to Renee Paquette on the ramp. She says she has a massive announcement and says that since the window for Thunder Rosa’s return is uncertain, the company has asked her to relinquish the title and Rosa has agreed to do so. She then introduces the new AEW Women’s Champion: Jamie Hayter.

Hayter, Britt Baker and Rebel then join Paquette. Paquette congratulates Hayter and asks her how she feels. She goes to speak, but Baker cuts her off and grabs the mic. She says Hayter is the Undisputed AEW Women’s Champion. Her and Hayter then head to the ring.

Willow Nightingale & Skye Blue vs. Anna Jay..A.S. & Tay Melo vs. Jamie Hayter & Britt Baker

We return inside the arena where all three teams make their way to the ring. The action is off and running and we see the duo of Baker and Hayter jump off to an early offensive lead.

As Skye Blue and Willow start to shift the offense into their favor, we head to a mid-match commercial break as the match continues.

Now we’re back live and we see the duo is still in control of the action in the ring. Moments later, however, Baker and Hayter hit their finishers and Baker scores the pin fall to pick up the victory.

Winners: Jamie Hayter & Britt Baker

Commentary then announce that Toni Storm’s time as AEW Interim Women’s Champion is officially being recognized as a normal championship reign, and she is officially a former AEW Women’s Champion. 

We then head backstage to Top Flight, FTR and Renee Paquette. FTR compliment Top flight before Darius says that they’ve always dreamed of facing them. He then challenges them to a match for the ROH World Tag Team Championships this Friday on “Rampage” and FTR accepts.

The Acclaimed Confronted By Jeff Jarrett & Co.

Back at ringside, The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn head down as Caster raps and takes shots at the roster for what went down at Full Gear, including Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal’s loss to Darby Allin and Sting.

Bowens says it’s good to be back in Chicago and says there’s a lot to be thankful for. He says they proved that everyone loves The Acclaimed after retaining their AEW Tag Team Titles. Billy Gunn then unwraps his hand and Bowens calls for him to scissor him.

Sonjay Dutt, Jay Lethal, Jeff Jarrett and Satnam appear on the tron. Jarrett says that if they want to talk smack, then he’ll give them something to talk about.

Gunn then grabs a mic and says no one wants to see ‘the old man’ on the screen. He then says this is the moment everyone has been waiting for. The trio then scissor one another in the ring.

Commentary then runs down the card for this Friday’s “Rampage” and next Wednesday’s “Dynamite”.

ROH World Championship
Chris Jericho (C) vs. Tomohiro Ishii

The bell rings and Jericho yells at Ishii in Japanese. Ishii slaps Jericho before Jericho returns the favor. The two slap one another before Ishii delivers a kick to Jericho’s spine. Jericho rolls to the outside, then gets back in the ring. The two exchange forearms before Ishii delivers a suplex. Jericho looks for a Code Breaker, but Ishii ducks it and looks for a shoulder tackle. Jericho blocks it and looks for one of his own. Ishii blocks it and the two men exchange numerous chops.

Jericho begins bleeding from his chest as Ishii gains the upper hand and knocks him to the mat. Ishii delivers a shoulder tackle, but Jericho fires back with a boot and several clotheslines in the corner. He delivers a chop, then fires off ten right hands to Ishii’s head. Ishii counters it into a powerbomb, then goes for a pin, but Jericho kicks out. Ishii looks for a lariat, but Jericho blocks it and delivers a cross chop. Ishii hits an elbow, but Jericho fires back with a DDT on the apron.

The two men exchange forearms on the outside before getting back in the ring and continuing to do so. Ishii delivers a suplex before Jericho returns the favor and delivers two of his own. He follows it up with a Lionsault, then goes for a pin but Ishii kicks out. Jericho hits a Code Breaker, then goes for a pin but Ishii kicks out once again.

Jericho looks for the Judas Effect, but Ishii ducks out of the way and delivers a headbutt. He follows it up with a sliding lariat, then goes for a pin but Jericho kicks out. Jericho looks for the Walls of Jericho, but Ishii blocks it and delivers a Code Breaker. He delivers a lariat, then goes for a pin but Jericho kicks out. Jericho locks in the Walls of Jericho, but Ishii tries to escape. Jericho counters it into the Lion Tamer for the win.

Winner and STILL ROH World Champion: Chris Jericho

After the match, Jericho points at Ian Riccaboni, but Claudio Castagnoli comes out of nowhere and hits Jericho with a vicious right hand.
