It looks like WWE is trimming some of the roster before the end of the year.
Bryan Alvarez noted on his Twitter Super Follower feed that it looks like several people in NXT were released. Alvarez tweeted, “I think we have a few NXT cuts today.”
It is unclear if the releases affect the wrestlers and on-camera talent or people behind the scenes. WWE evaluates talent every few months and those wrestlers who don’t show improvement could be subject to being cut.
Releases typically happen ahead of the next crop of talent getting signed. We’ll post an update once the names get out.
