Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat To Team With FTR In His Return Match

As noted, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat is stepping back into the ring at a Big Time Wrestling show on November 27 at Raleigh, North Carolina’s Dorton Arena.

It was recently announced that Steamboat will be teaming with FTR vs. Jay Lethal & Brock Anderson & a mystery partner that Arn Anderson will manage.

Also announced for the show is The Briscoes vs. The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express. Tickets start at just $39.99. For more information, click here.

Steamboat declined to be part of Ric Flair’s last match at Starrcast V in July. Flair teamed with son-in-law Andradeagainst Jeff Jarrett and Lethal.

Steamboat had previously retired in 1994 due to a back injury. Steamboat returned to in-ring action after not wrestling for 15 years at WrestleMania 25 in 2009, where he teamed with Roddy Piper and Jimmy Snuka in a three-on-one handicap elimination match against Chris Jericho. A singles match later that month was booked with Steamboat against Jericho at the Backlash pay-per-view.

Steamboat last wrestled in 2010 in a tag team match with his son, Richie Steamboat, against The Dudebusters’ Caylen Croft and Trent Barreta at an independent show, although his last singles match was against Drew McIntyre in 2009 at a WWE house show.
