Eddie Kingston Comments On AEW Backstage Conflicts

Eddie Kingston Comments On AEW Backstage Conflicts – Eddie Kingston has never been afraid to speak his mind, and he’s admitted that’s gotten him in trouble in the past.

Eddie and Sammy Guevara turned their backstage altercation, in which Kingston was suspended, into an on-screen situation as Guevara call Kingston a “fat piece of shit” before their match at AEW Rampage Grand Slam. The line, which was cut from a previous promo, was reportedly one of the reasons the two got into an altercation.

Kingston defeated Guevara in the bout, but the decision was overturned as Kingston wouldn’t release his submission hold.

“I had a HR meeting a couple of days ago telling me I can’t be beating up people in the ring when I want to. I don’t know what I’m going to do [laughs]. We’re all trying to be good and professional. These are their words, not mine,” Kingston said in an interview with ESPR.

When asked, in general, about backstage conflicts happening in AEW, Kingston commented, “It’s real simple, you have a bunch of people back there with egos. Some people believe other people don’t deserve to be in AEW, other people do believe they deserve to be in AEW, so when you have a bunch of men and women who don’t know how to use their words, things are going to happen in the back.”

Kingston was confronted by Death Triangle (PAC, Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fenix) on Friday’s AEW Rampage and they asked him to compose himself. Kingston had a previous alignment with Penta and Fenix before PAC returned at the end of 2020 leading into 2021.
