After being announced as a special guest referee for the Seth Rollins vs. Matt Riddle match at Extreme Rules, MMA legend Daniel Cormier has teased an appearance on Raw.
Taking to Twitter, Cormier wrote:
“Tonight on Raw you may see a familiar face 👁”
Dave Meltzer speculated earlier today regarding potential roles for Cormier in the future in WWE, including being a possible future opponent for Brock Lesnar.
Cormier was announced as the special guest referee for the Extreme Rules match given the unique stipulation as a pit match the ring surrounded by a cage, with a balcony and platform at top with the winner only being decided by knockout or submission.
We’ll have to tune in tonight to see if Daniel Cormier pops up!
