AEW Teases MJF Is Turning Babyface

AEW Teases MJF Is Turning Babyface – It looks like MJF is turning babyface, or at least they are strongly teasing it. As seen on Tonight’s AEW Dynamite, MJF wrestled Wheeler Yuta in an excellent match.

After the match, Yuta insisted that MJF shake his hand. It appeared that MJF was about to shake his hand but then Lee Moriarty from The Firm appeared and attacked Yuta from behind.

MJF yelled at Moriarity and said, “I didn’t tell you to do that!” MJF seemed legitimately upset that Yuta was attacked. Before anything else could happen, William Regal walked out to the ring with brass knucks to confront MJF. The segment ended without any further physicality.

Excalibur pointed out that MJF and Yuta have 7 years of history. It is true that they have been real-life friends for several years and they previously wrestled each other on the independent scene. Since his return at All Out, MJF has been cheered by the fans so it looks like AEW might be playing into that.

MJF is set to challenge the AEW World Champion in the near future. As noted, AEW President Tony Khan recently commented on how MJF will be able to cash-in his Casino Battle Royale poker chipJon Moxley is the current AEW World Champion but there’s no word yet on if MJF vs. Moxley is the plan.
