AEW Dynamite Wins Tuesday’s War Against NXT – Due to MLB playoff game coverage, TBS moved AEW Dynamite from its traditional Wednesday night timeslot to Tuesday night. The ratings were expected to be down, but maybe not that low.
In fact, last night’s episode drew 752,000 viewers, which is down from the 983,000 viewers the show drew last week. In the 18-49 demographic, the show did a 0.26 rating, which is down from the 0.32 last week.
Dynamite ranked #8 in the top 150 shows on cable for the night, down from the #4 ranking last week. It went up against WWE NXT, the opening night of the NBA regular season, and an MLB playoff game.
This was the lowest ratings AEW has done since the June 15th edition in its normal timeslot but the drop was expected.
As for NXT, the show drew 676,000 viewers, down from the 737,000 viewers the show drew last week which was the highest total viewership of the year. In the 18-49 demographic, the show did a 0.18 rating, up from the 0.15 last week.
This marked the first time the two shows went head-to-head since NXT was from Wednesday nights to Tuesday nights last year.
