A strange vignette just aired on AEW Dynamite amid speculation that The Elite may be making an impending return.
On tonight’s AEW Dynamite after the first match of the night (and a tense backstage segment with the Blackpool Combat Club) a cryptic vignette aired featuring the Elite.
As seen below, the vignette showed highlights of Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks’ time in AEW, dating all the way back to the announcement of the company’s formation. As the clips played, Omega and the Bucks were shown fading out of those moments as audio bits in the background also faded out.
It would seem that AEW is acknowledging the brief erasure that The Elite experienced following the AEW All Out backstage brawl that led to the trio being removed from storylines and stripped of the AEW World Trios Championship. No other details were provided, but things are moving forward for The Elite in some capacity.
