Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai and IYO SKY defeated Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah on tonight’s RAW to win WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles, thanks to some help from Bayley at ringside. Kai got the pin on Aliyah to win the belts for her team.
After the match, the champs celebrated on the stage and they got a big pyro display. This was the expected result a few weeks ago but the decision was to go with the babyfaces at the time.
This is the first title reign for Kai and SKY. Aliyah and Rodriguez held the titles for just 13 recognized days in their first reign after defeating Kai and SKY in the tournament finals on the August 29 RAW.
For those of you not watching RAW, there was no sign of Sasha Banks and Naomi during or after this match.
