Major Name Appears At AEW Rampage “Grand Slam” – Spoilers continue to leak from AEW Rampage Tapings. The legendary Great Muta appeared at the taping for AEW Rampage in an angle with Sting.
Sting and Darby Allin defeated Buddy Matthews and Brody King in a No DQ match. Sting and Allin attacked The House of Black during their entrance. This was a brawl all the way through, with weapons and lots of outside of the ring action. Sting went through a table off the top rope at one point. Sting was later handcuffed so Allin could be double teamed. Allin hit a Coffin Drop from the entrance setup, taking out Matthews. Allin then took King through tables off the stage for a huge pop. Matthews grabbed Sting’s bat but the music hit and The Great Muta made the save with mist to Allin’s face. This caused Julia Hart to go through a table. Sting pinned Matthews and then Muta celebrated with him after. Muta and Sting got one of the biggest pops of the night, including the earlier Dynamite taping
Keiji Muto is well known the world over for his impressive wrestling career which has notably never included any appearances in WWE.
He previously appeared in AEW in 2019 as surprise special guest judge at AEW Full Gear in the event the match for the AEW World Championship between Chris Jericho and Cody Rhodes.
The Great Muta has announced he is on a retirement tour however it is unclear what if any further role in AEW he may have.
