Andrade El Idolo dropped a cryptic tweet on his account today. The tweet comes after reports about WWE reaching out to certain wrestlers in the company.
As noted over the weekend, Malakai Black got his conditional release and he has stated that he is taking time off from wrestling to deal with personal issues. Over the weekend, Buddy Matthews stated that he will also be taking time away from pro wrestling so he can recharge.
As seen below, AEW wished Matthews a happy birthday so it looks like he is still with the company but there have been rumors about a few names that had feelers sent out to them by WWE. Ryan Frederick reported on Matthews being sent feelers and said that Andrade “very possibly” was sent feelers by them.
Andrade sent out a tweet today with an hourglass. The last time Andrade wrestled was during the Casino Ladder Match at All Out. The tweet can be taken to mean that he is getting ready to return to AEW TV but because of the recent rumors, some fans on social media are wondering if a WWE return is in the cards for him. At this point, there is nothing indicating that he is leaving AEW.
