Sean Ross Sapp is reporting that a couple of the AEW talent were told that a some very important names were “pissed off and threatening to walk out over” CM Punk’s comments at the media scrum. Note: On Fightful Select, it was confirmed that the names are the ones Punk targeted – The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega.
In a quick recap, Punk addressed the Colt Cabana rumors. Punk went off on him and said that what has been said is not true and he had nothing to do with Cabana no longer being on AEW TV. Punk also ripped on Hangman Page for “going into business for himself” last year and jeopardizing AEW’s first $1 million gate (Double Or Nothing).
Punk also said that the EVP’s have spread lies about him through the media. If you missed it, then you should check it out because it was very obvious that Punk was very heated and his comments were obviously going to ruffle a lot of people the wrong way.
Sapp added in his tweet that “Obviously at this stage, we have to be cognizant of a possible work.”
