Which NFL Teams Do WWE Superstars Support?

It seems like there is an unwritten rule in the professional world of sports where athletes appreciate other sports just because they know what it takes to become a professional athlete. When it comes to WWE, we can spot a close relation with NFL.

Even though at first sight they might look different, both sports share many similarities. We’ve seen on multiple occasions where former NFL players decided to chase their wrestling careers after retiring from their football careers which proves the connection between these two worlds.

When you look at it like this, both sports require incredible athleticism and they are both testing the limits of athletes. Maybe this is why many WWE superstars are really big fans of football and the other way around.

This got us wondering, who are some of the WWE superstars that have a great passion for football, and what are the teams they support in the NFL betting lines? Let’s find out.

WWE Stars Supporting NLF Teams

Triple H and New England Patriots

Triple H is a business executive, actor, and retired professional wrestler that is currently serving as an executive vice presented for Talent Relations and head of creative for the WWE. He is considered one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time.

He is born and raised in Nashua, New Hampshire, and with wrestling at a young age. Most athletes choose to support NFL teams that are coming from their state, but since Triple H is coming from a state that doesn’t have its own NFL team, he chooses to follow the New England Patriots.

Not only he is a true supporter of the Patriots, but also Triple H is a huge NFL and pro sports fan. This is why no, as head of creative, Triple H is often sending WWE Championships to respective champions of American sports like the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL.

Daniel Bryan and The Seattle Seahawks

Here we have another former WWE Champion that also loves watching football. When it comes to wrestling, Bryan is one of the most technically gifted wrestlers that ever stepped in the ring. However, looking through the data, it seems like Daniel was one of the most passionate WWE stars that showed his support for the Seattle Seahawks over the years.

Bryan has managed to raise the ‘12th Man Flag’ before games and even led the crowds onto the field.

Being a Seahawks fan must have been hard for him since his wife is a true supporter of the Eagles. However, since both teams have won a Super Bowl in the past couple of years, they can both be happy.

Daniel Bryan is also raising his daughter Birdie Joe to be a Seahawks fan, as he attends big matches and shares his passion for football on social media.

Seth Rollins and the Chicago Bears

Seth Rollins is an American professional wrestler that started his career back in 2005. Over the years, he got many ring names, but the one that stuck the most to him was Tyler Black.

Since he is coming from Davenport, Iowa, there aren’t many professional teams to cheer for, which is why Rollins decided to go with the Bears.

He is a true NFL fan and likes to watch all of their games in person. He attended many games and even got a chance to interview some of the professional NFL players when he was a WWE champion.

One of the best ways to know if someone is a true football fan is to check out their actions when the team is in tough times. However, Seth Rollins showed incredible support for the Bears even after a heartbreaking loss in a Wildcard Round against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Rey Mysterio and the San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers

Rey Mysterio is one of the most popular names in the world of WWE. Throughout his career, he has shown his incredible support for his favorite team the San Diego Chargers, and even he showed his support through his theme song.

His hometown is a pretty big deal for Rey Misterio, which is why he decided to devote his support to the San Diego Chargers, and even though the team moved to Los Angeles, he continued to support them.

He has always found a way to show his support for the Chargers, whether it is with the colors of his mask or by attending live matches. He has also made masks to commemorate the team.

The Miz and Dolph Ziggler and the Cleveland Browns

If you are a true fan of WWE, you’d know that both The Miz and Dolph Ziggler come from Ohio and that both guys are huge fans of the Cleveland Browns.

In most cases, we see big athletes from every sport supporting successful teams in the NFL like the New England Patriots, but it takes a real die-hard fan to stick with a team like the Browns and The Miz and Dolph Ziggler showed their support even when the team was facing tough times.
