Sammy Guevara Reportedly Being Difficult To Work With

Eddie Kingston isn’t the only one to have issues with Sammy Guevara.

As previously reported, there was an altercation in Minneapolis several weeks ago following a Guevara promo to the point where things got physical once Guevara returned backstage as Kingston confronted Guevara.

The fan favorite star had an issue with something Guevara said during the promo about Kingston’s appearance, and they had to be separated. Kingston, suspended for several weeks and expected back next week at Dynamite, has issued a statement about the situation, which you can read here.

Fightful Select reports Kingston was upset with Guevara because Sammy hadn’t spoken with him or cleared the content of a promo that ended up being edited off a show.

“Kingston had asked to work with Sammy, who didn’t have people exactly angling to work with him, after his feud with Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page,” the report read.

There were some pretty clear parameters set on Guevara’s feuds and promos to not mention his ex-fiancee, which was said to have never come up or pitched in. AEW had been originally planning for Kingston to beat Guevara at All Out.

In the edited promo, Guevara referred to Kingston as a “fat piece of sh**,” which Kingston took exception to as he felt it buried the match if a “fat piece of sh**” beat him.

The report noted, “The crux of the frustration, however, was how Sammy Guevara followed up with this after being perceived as difficult working with Scorpio Sky, Ethan Page and Sonjay Dutt in the months prior.”

After that promo, Kingston yelled at Guevara, who smiled at him, and Kingston responded by pie facing Guevara. Sammy was upset about it, and Kingston was suspended for two weeks.

Kingston told Fightful, “I was wrong. That is all,” but didn’t confirm the report.
