The Raw after SummerSlam is typically a bigger show than usual because the company expects more viewers to tune in to find out what the fallout is from one of their biggest pay-per-view events of the year.
Tonight’s show may be even bigger than that, especially with changes expected with Triple H running things behind the scenes.
Sean Ross Sapp tweeted that he heard from someone in WWE who said that tonight’s show is soundling like it will be a “statement” show. What that means is anyone’s guess but it’s clear that this will not be a “paint by the numbers” kind of show so expect to see something different tonight.
What is known is that we’ll see a lot of SummerSlam follow-up and perhaps, we will find out who will join Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair in their new storyline with Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY. We should also expect to see the start of the build for the Clash at the Castle pay-per-view. Thus far, the only match announced for the pay-per-view is Drew McIntyre challenging Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and it looks like the Matt Riddle vs. Seth Rollins match will happen on that show.
It is expected that we’ll see some NXT call-ups and signings in the coming weeks so it would not be a shock to see some new and returning faces on tonight’s show. As of this writing, nothing has been announced for tonight’s episode. We’ll post updates later this afternoon when matches and segments are announced.
