Last week, Santana tweeted out the number of days left on his AEW contract, seemingly hinting that he was planning on leaving the company.
There were other signs of trouble between them because in recent months, Santana and Ortiz have been booking themselves separately in singles matches on independent shows and they haven’t worked much together this year.
During the Blood and Guts video package that aired on AEW Dynamite, Roby Soho mentioned that Eddie Kingston is close to Jon Moxley and Ortiz but there was no mention of Santana.
On the latest “Keepin’ It 100” podcast, Konnan was asked about rumors that Santana and Ortiz are no longer on good terms.
“They are not on good terms,” Konnan said when asked about the rumors so this basically confirms everything since he is close with both Santana and Ortiz.
If Santana is not planning on signing a new AEW contract, then we may have seen the last of him in the promotion. He is currently out with a knee injury that he suffered during the Blood and Guts match and Tony Khan recently stated on Busted Open Radio that he will have a long rehab.
