“Zero Hour” pre-show

– Multiple shots of the fans inside the Tsongas Center are shown.

Colt Cabana vs. Anthony Henry w/ JD Drake

Henry dominated the opening stages, but Cabana managed to turn the tables. Drake made his presence felt as the action spilled to the ringside area. Cabana, however, continued to build momentum, and he picked up the win with a moonsault from the top turnbuckle.

Winner: Colt Cabana via pinfall

Cheeseburger & Eli Isom vs. Ari Daivari & Slim J

Slim J and Cheeseburger got the match underway. Cheeseburger eventually made the hot tag to Isom midway through the match. Daivari and Slim J refused to let Cheeseburger and Isom gain an advantage, and Daivari ultimately scored the victory for his team.

Winners: Ari Daivari & Slim J via pinfall

– Backstage, Prince Nana reveals that he has purchased Tully Blanchard Enterprises.

Brian Cage and The Gates of Agony (Jasper Kaun & Toa Liona) w/ Prince Nana vs. Blake Christian, Tony Deppen & Alex Zayne

Deppen and Cage began the match as the legal men. Cage, Kaun and Liona worked on Zayne in their corner after he was tagged in, keeping him away from his tag team partners. Zayne eventually tagged in a fresh Christian. Christian went for a dive on the outside, but he was caught by Kaun and Liona. Deppen, instead, dived through the ropes to take them out. Zayne took out Cage with a dive over the ropes. In the end, Deppen received three consecutive finishing moves delivered by Kaun, Liona and Cage before succumbing to defeat.

Winners: Brian Cage and The Gates of Agony (Jasper Kaun & Toa Liona) w/ Prince Nana via pinfall

Allysin Kay vs. Willow Nightingale

After the bell rang, Kay and Nightingale immediately tested each other’s strength after locking up. Following an initial flurry of moves by Nightingale, Kay stopped her in her tracks. Nightingale fought back and ultimately caught Kay with a gut wrench powerbomb to win the match.

Winner: Willow Nightingale via pinfall

We are live from the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts, as Claudio Castagnoli makes his way to the ring accompanied by Williar Regal, eho joins the commentary table. Jonathan Gresham is out next and we are ready for our first match of the night which is for the ROH World Title!

ROH World Championship
Jonathan Gresham (c) vs. Claudio Castagnoli

Prince Nana has apparently purchased Tully Blanchard Enterprises in storyline and he accompanied ROH Champion Jonathan Gresham to the ring. The crowd was heavily behind Castagnoli early.

Claudio controlled the match early and connected with the Swing. Gresham battled back with a series of strikes and posed for the crowd. The champ hit Claudio with a Dragon Screw and applied a knee bar in the middle of the ring. Claudio showed off his strength with a slam and went for the cover but Gresham kicked out at two.

Gresham focused his attack on Claudio’s knee and leveled him with a chop block. The champ went for a submission hold but Claudio booted him away. Castagnoli connected with a Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker and went for the cover but Gresham kicked out at two. Claudio followed it up with a big uppercut for a near fall.

Jonathan went after Claudio’s knee again and hobbled the challenger. The champ hit a Missile Dropkick and a forearm to the face for a near fall. Gresham quickly got Castagnoli in an Ankle Lock but Claudio reached the bottom rope to break the hold and the title match continued.

Castagnoli took a couple of chops to the chest but shrugged them off. Claudio decked Gresham with an uppercut but the champion responded with an Enziguri. Castagnoli went for a move but his knee gave out. Gresham capitalized with an Ankle Lock and then planted Claudio with a Northern Lights Suplex for a two count.

Claudio hit a big uppercut and went for the Neutralizer but Gresham escaped. Jonathan went for a roll-up but Claudio kicked out and decked him with a Clothesline. Castagnoli delivered a bunch of elbow strikes to Gresham and followed it up with the Ricola Powerbomb for the pinfall victory.

Winner and NEW ROH World Champion: Claudio Castagnoli

After the match, Castagnoli and Gresham shook hands.

– Backstage, Daniel Garcia was interviewed. Garcia said he was going to win the ROH Pure Championship and take it to the big leagues in AEW.

The Righteous (Vincent, Dutch & Bateman) (c) vs. Dalton Castle & The Boys (Brandon & Brent Tate) for the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship

The Righteous dominated the action early and beat The Boys down. Vincent tagged in and connected with a Suplex. Castle battled back by throwing The Boys onto The Righteous outside the ring over and over again to a big pop from the crowd. The action broke down into a brawl and The Righteous isolated one of The Boys in the ring. Vincent hit Death From Above but Dalton broke up the cover at two. Vincent hit a Cutter and then a Suicide Dive onto Castle outside the ring. Dalton hit Vincent with a Hurricanrana as Dutch delivered a Bossman Slam. Dalton Castle hit Dutch with a German Suplex. Castle then delivered the Bang-A-Rang for the pinfall victory.

Winners and New Six-Man Tag Team Champions: Dalton Castle & The Boys

Wheeler Yuta (c) vs. Daniel Garcia in a Pure Wrestling Rules match for the ROH Pure Championship

William Regal accompanied Yuta to the ring and joined commentary for the bout. Ace Steel, John Walters, and Josh Woods were shown watching the match.

Wheeler controlled the action early and applied a submission hold. Garcia battled back and launched Yuta out of the ring.

Garcia beat the champion down before bringing him back into the ring. Daniel went for a cover and started yelling at the referee to count faster. Wheeler connected with a Body Slam and followed it up with a Senton. Yuta planted Garcia with two German Suplexes and went for a third but Daniel escaped.

Yuta and Garcia traded shots until they both fell down in the middle of the ring. Garcia and Wheeler then brilliantly traded strikes and submission holds as the crowd got into the match. Yuta locked in a Liontamer in the middle of the ring but the Jericho Appreciation Society member used one of his rope breaks to get out of the hold. Daniel planted Wheeler with a Piledriver and went for the cover but the champion kicked out at two. Wheeler then got Garcia in a roll-up for the pinfall victory. Wheeler Yuta remains the ROH Pure Champion.

Winner: Wheeler Yuta

Rush vs. Dragon Lee

They tie up and go to the ropes twice. They then go hold and counterhold on the mat with neither getting an advantage. Lee gets a headlock and keeps it as Rush tries to go to the ropes. They then go shoulder to shoulder and Rush pie faces Lee. Lee comes off the ropes and hits a series of kicks, and Rush hits a strike dropping Lee. He then pushes Lee to the corner and strikes him. Lee then reverses the next whip and is able to beat down Rush in the corner. Rush is able to come off the ropes with a shotgun drop kick and then leaps onto Lee on the floor. He then tosses Lee into the barricades. 

Rush tosses Lee into the ring. He waits for Lee to get up and kicks him dismissively over and over. Rush charges to the corner, but stops short and gives another dismissive kick. He then slams Lee for a two count. The kicks become serious from Rush, but Lee is able to get  a head scissors takeover and leaps to the outside onto Rush. He puts Rush ont he timekeeper’s tackle and spears from the ring into Rush on the table. 

Lee rolls Rush into the ring and hits a double stomp for a two count.  He then puts Rush on his shoulders and flip him onto his knee. He then starts kicking Rush. Rush is up and they trade forearms. They then move to slaps. Lee hits a kick and Rush hits a strike. Lee gets a rip cord and then Lee charges into Rush. Both men are down.

They crawl to opposite corners. Lee charges and he’;s flipped up and over and Rush suplexes him into the ring for a two count. They then fight on the apron with Rush delivering kicks. They move to chops. They then trade kicks. Rush then suplexes Lee to the floor when Lee charges. Rush tosses Lee into the ring. Lee is able to recover and hits a Hurricanrana on Rush to the floor.

Both men are down and the ref counts to 19 before they get into the ring. They struggle to get up. They call for chops again and then Lee moves to kicks. Lee charges and Rush suplexes him into the corner. Rush hits a running drop kick in the corner and Lee kicks out at two. Rush pulls Lee up and puts him on the top. They fight on the top and Lee gets a double stomp for a one count. Lee hits a power bomb for a two count. Lee gets the incinerator for a two count.

Lee covers again and only gets a one. Rush gets a flying forearms and then Rush hits the running drop kick for the win.

Winner: Rush

ROH Women’s World Championship
Mercedes Martinez (c) vs. Serena Deeb

They lock up and then break, moving to the greco roman knuckle lock. Martinez takes Deeb down and Deeb referses. They trade holds on the mat. Martinez breaks it with a stomp on the arm and then grabs a head lock. They go back to mat wrestling and Deeb holds Martinez down with an arm bar with a knee on the head. They work to their feet and Martinez reverses it. Martinez hits a spine buster and then a drop kick in the corner. Deeb goes to the floor and Martinez follows her and they brawl on the floor.

They move to fighting on the apron and Deeb hits a spear on Martinez hurting her own shoulder. Deeb is back in the ring and they fight in the corner until Deeb plants Martinex from a dragon sleeper in the corner. Deeb goes for a back slide, but Martinez is able to reverse it and then hits a half and half on Deeb. Martinez puts Deeb on the top. Martinez tries for a suplex from the top, but Deeb holds old. Martinez is able to get a dragon sleeper on the top. Deeb tries to break free with elbows. Deeb is able to escape and Martinez is in the tree of woe and nails her with kicks and then a drop kick. 

Deeb locks on an octopus stretch and then moves it to the Deeb tox. That just looks so painful. Martinez is able to power out of it and takes Deeb over. They trade rollups and Martinez gets a pair of submission holds. Deeb fights her way out of it. They are seated across from each other and trade kicks. Both women drop back onto the mat.,

Deeb is able to lock Martinez’s arms, but Martinez drops to her knees. Martinez drops Deeb and then goes to the corner for a charge. Deeb avoids it and Deeb goes to the top. Martinez hits a kick on her. Martinez goes to the top with Deeb and hits the spider German suplex. Martinez climbs down and grabs Deeb and holds her from behind and hits strikes. Deeb goes deadweight to avoid the forearm. Martinez has her surfboard blocked and Deeb bites her way free.

They fight on their knees and she lifts Deeb , Deeb escapes and hits a spinning neckbreaker.  Deeb then gets a spinning DDT and the serenity lock. Martinez rolls through for a two count. Deeb is able to pick Martinez’s ankle and slams her knees into the mat. Deeb puts on an ankle lock and Martinez trolls through to sent Deeb into the turnbuckle. 

In the corner, Deeb gets on Martinez’s shoulder, but gets trapped on the top. Martinez hits the OG drop and covers for two. Martinez goes for the Brass City sleeper and holds it until Deeb is done.

Winner: Marcedes Martinez

They hug and we go to the video package for the TV championship.

ROH World Television Championship
Samoa Joe (c) vs. Jay Lethal

 Joe head butts Lethal down and they just. Keep. Fighting. Joe finally tosses Lethal into the ring. Lethal drop kicks Joe’s knee and then hits the three dives from the ring. They KEEP brawling and Satnam Singh attacks. Lethal then rolls Joe into the ring and the ref sends Singh to the back and the bell rings.

Lethal beats down Joe in the corner. Lethal then starts attacking Joe’s wrapped arm. Joe is able to chap Lethal in the corner and then charges him in the other corner. Joe covers Lethal and Lethal gets a foot on the rope on two. They fight on the apron and Lethal gets an arm guillotine and then a drop kick into the arm for a two count. 

Lethal works over Joe in the corner and Joe fights his way out. Lethal gets a drop kick on Joe. Lethal stomps on Joe’s hand and when Joe is up, he slaps Lethal down. Lethal gets an insigiri and both men are down. When they are up, Joe hits a back elbow and then leaps onto Lethal on the outside. Joe rolls him in and covers for the two. They get to their feet and after Lethal’s strikes, Joe is able to roll through and get a two count. Joe hits a brutal clothesline for a two count. Joe then slams Lethal for a two count. 

Lethal is up and slaps, but Joe slaps him around. Lethal is able to get a lethal combination for a two count. Lethal tries for a figure four and Joe kicks Lethal in the face when he tries the spin. Lethal keeps working on the leg, and Joe fights his way out again. Joe is placed on the top and Lethal tries for a muscle buster and Joe fight back. Lethal gets a drop kick and then goes back up. Joe tosses Lethal off and gets a leg lariat for a two count.

Joe pulls Lethal up and then beats him down. He puts Lethal on the top and goes for the muscle buster and Lethal escapes and hits the Lethal Injection for a two count. Lethal drop kicks Joe into the corner and when he charges, Joe catches him and throws him down. Joe goes for the muscle buster again and Sonjay Dutt runs to the ring. Joe goes after him and the ref is distracted as Lethal nails Jow with the title belt  and covers for two.

Lethal goes for the Lethal injection, and Joe blocks it, Lethal rolls up Joe and Joe is able to lock in the rear naked choke and Lethal taps out. 

Winner: Samoa Joe

– A rundown of this week’s “AEW Dynamite” is shown, including Bryan Danielson’s return to in-ring action.

2 Out Of 3 Falls Match ROH World Tag Team Championship
FTR (c) vs. The Briscoes

The two teams argued for a bit after the bell rang in the middle of the ring. Dax Harwood and Mark Briscoe started off the match. They locked up and Dax took control. Cash Wheeler tagged in and went to work on Mark Briscoe’s arm.

Mark connected with an Armdrag and a backhand to the face that knocked Cash down. Harwood and Jay Briscoe tagged in and Dax applied a headlock. Jay sent Harwood to the outside and he sold a shoulder injury.

Back in the ring, Jay and Cash traded chops. Cash and Jay seemed to get crossed up and Wheeler hit Jay hard in an odd sequence. Mark tagged in for a moment so Jay could regroup. Jay tagged back in and Cash sent him to the corner. Dax tagged in and hit Jay with an elbow to the back of the head for a near fall. Harwood planted Jay with a Suplex and brought him back to the corner.

Cash tagged in as FTR continued to isolate Jay Briscoe in the corner. Jay leveled Cash with a big boot and Mark tagged in. Mark hit a shoulder tackle and followed it up with a Suplex on Wheeler for a near fall. Mark hit a Splash in the corner as The Briscoes took control and isolated Cash in their corner of the ring.

Wheeler eventually got to the corner and tagged in Harwood. Dax unloaded some strikes to The Briscoes and then sent Jay flying across the ring with a German Suplex. The Briscoes battled back and knocked Harwood to the outside. Wheeler absolutely leveled Mark with a Clothesline but turned around into one from Jay. Back in the ring, Harwood planted Jay with a DDT for a two count.

The Briscoes then picked up the first fall after hitting Dax with the Doomsday.

Jay caught Dax with a Clothesline and booted him out of the ring. The action spilled out of the ring and Dax got busted open on his chest after hitting the barricade. Back in the ring, Jay hit Dax with some chops in the corner. Dax battled with Jay on the turnbuckle and hit a Back Suplex off the top rope.

Wheeler fired up the crowd for a tag but Mark Briscoe tripped Cash up to prevent it. Mark got Harwood in a Headlock in the middle of the ring. Harwood escaped and they started trading chops to the chest. Harwood escaped and finally got the tag to Wheeler. Cash got into the ring to a big pop from the crowd and started unloading chops and strikes.

Cash planted Mark with a Brainbuster and went for the cover but Briscoe kicked out at two. The two teams started battling outside the ring as the action broke down. Back in the ring, Wheeler climbed to the top rope and hit Mark with a Crossbody off the top turnbuckle for a two count. Briscoes had the match won but Dax broke up the cover at the last moment.

Mark chased Dax around the ring and Harwood sent him into the steel steps. Harwood tagged in and FTR hit Jay with the Big Rig for the pinfall. FTR and The Briscoes were now tied 1-1.

Cash and Mark were both busted open and trading haymakers in the middle of the ring. Mark delivered an Exploder Suplex that sent Cash flying across the ring. Dax tagged in and Mark hit him with an Exploder Suplex as well. Harwood and Mark Briscoe battled on the ring apron. Mark leaped off the ring apron and hit Dax with a Blockbuster on the floor.

Jay got Harwood in the Electric Chair but Cash broke it up. FTR isolated Jay Briscoe but the referee accidentally got knocked out. Mark Briscoe sent Cash into the barricade as Jay planted Dax with a Piledriver. Jay went for the cover but the referee was down outside the ring. FTR hit a Big Rig on Jay and Wheeler rolled the referee back in. The referee began counting but Jay kicked out at the last moment and the match continued.

Mark shoved Cash off the turnbuckle and Briscoes hit Doomsday Device on Cash again. Jay went for the cover but Cash broke it up at two. Mark and Cash battled to the outside as Dax and Jay were in the ring. The two had a bit of a hockey fight before Jay hit a big boot to the face. Dax bounced off the ropes and responded with a Clothesline for a two count.

Jay applied a Crossface on Harwood in the middle of the ring. Cash tried to break it up but Mark got him in a Crossface. Dax got to the ropes to break up the hold as Mark sent Cash out of the ring. Mark climbed to the top rope and Cash hopped up there with him. Cash sent him through the table below with a Suplex. Jay planted Dax with a Piledriver for a near fall.

Harwood perched Jay up on the top turnbuckle and unloaded a bunch of chops. Dax then planted Jay with a Piledriver off the middle turnbuckle and rolled over to cover him in a cool finish.

Winners: FTR

After the match, FTR and The Briscoes showed each other respect in the ring. Dax said “mother f*cker I love professional wrestling”. Harwood added that “you can call me a mark if you want but I love this sh*t”. FTR then said they will see everyone on Dynamite. ROH Champion Claudio Castagnoli, ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta then appeared with Regal on the entrance ramp. Everyone held up their championships to close the show.
