Liv Morgan Retains In Controversial Fashion – Liv Morgan retained the SmackDown Women’s Title against Ronda Rousey at WWE SummerSlam and apparently there was a heel turn.
After dominating the brief match, there was a controversial finish because Rousey had the armbar submission and she thought that Liv tapped but the referee counted Rousey’s shoulders to the mat. The replay appeared to show Liv tap before the 3 count.
A stunned Rousey was irate following the match, and couldn’t be calmed down at all. As Morgan celebrated her win, Rousey attacked the champion, locking Morgan in yet another armbar for several minutes while Morgan desperately tried to get out of it. Afterwards, Rousey then locked the referee in an armbar, before letting go as WWE officials came running in to break up the situation.
