Following the latest allegations in the Wall Street Journal, things are business as usual backstage at WWE Friday Night SmackDown.
PWInsider reports that Vince McMahon is backstage at SmackDown and he is handling creative as usual. So if anyone thought that the latest WSJ story would have an impact on the day-to-day operations backstage, that is not the case at all.
In related news, it was reported earlier that McMahon will meet fly out to Vancouver after SmackDown to meet with John Cena. Vancouver is where Cena is filming the HBO series “Peacemaker.” It doesn’t look like Cena will be on the SummerSlam card but they have teased a Cena vs. Theory match for the future. Perhaps, the match is being saved for WrestleMania or another major pay-per-view.
