WWE Hell In A Cell Results – June 5, 2022 – The Kickoff Show gets started with the panelists introducing themselves. We’ve got Kayla Braxton as the host, who introduces Kevin Patrick, Peter Rosenberg, Jerry Lawler and Booker T.

Cody Rhodes Update For Tonight

The guys (and gal) banter back-and-forth for a moment and then send provide an update on Cody Rhodes’, confirming his injury but also making it clear that despite rumors to the contrary, he will still be wrestling against Seth “Freakin'” Rollins in the Hell In A Cell main event match later in tonight’s show.

From there, the panelists run down some of the other matches scheduled for tonight’s show. Then, they send us into our first of many elaborate video packages that tell the story leading up to a particular bout on tonight’s card.

Up first is an in-depth look at the events that led to tonight’s Raw Women’s Championship three-way showdown pitting current title-holder Bianca Belair against Asuka and Becky Lynch.

The Kickoff Show continues with a look at the music video for the new MVP diss track to Bobby Lashley ahead of their Handicap Match tonight on the PPV card.

We shoot to some more video packages detailing the build-up to some more of the bouts on tonight’s show, including The Judgment Day vs. AJ Styles, Finn Balor & Liv Morgan, Mustafa Ali vs. Theory for the WWE U.S. Championship and more.

We head to a quick commercial time out and when we return, we are sent down to ringside where Michael Cole mentions the No Holds Barred contest pitting Madcap Moss one-on-one against Happy Corbin. The video package telling the story leading up to this match airs now.

After some more talk from the panelists, we head to our final elaborate pre-match video package. Our final package looks at the story behind tonight’s Hell In A Cell match main event between Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.

When the package wraps up, we head back to the Kickoff Show panel for one final time. The panelists give their analysis and insight into the match and then give their predictions for the winner. They are split down the middle with some picking Cody and others going with Seth.

The WWE Hell In A Cell 2022 Kickoff Show is now in the books. The panelists plug the Raw Women’s Championship three-way as the opening contest and then the pre-show fades off the air.

The always bad-ass pre-PPV cold open video package for tonight’s WWE Hell In A Cell 2022 special event airs to officially get the pay-per-view portion underway.

From there, we shoot live inside Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois where the thousands of members of the WWE Universe in attendance make a ton of noise as the camera pans the arena and settles down at ringside where the commentators welcome us to the 14th-annual WWE Hell In A Cell pay-per-view.

Raw Women’s Championship
Bianca Belair (C) vs. Asuka vs. Becky Lynch

Before the match, we get a long recap of the events leading to this match.

We go to the ring and Mike Rome begins his introductions. The music hits and out first comes Becky Lynch. Asuka is out next. Lynch stares Asuka down as she poses in the corner and struts around the ring. RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair is out last. Belair hits the ring swinging her hair, and Lynch also stares her down. We get formal ring introductions from Rome.

After 15 minutes, we are finally ready to go!

They circle each other and then Becky and Asuka have words. Asuka with a single leg take down to Becky and Bianca with a shoulder tackle. Becky goes to the floor. Bianca and Asuka lock up and Bianca with a wrist lock and Asuka with a reversal. Asuka with a waist lock and snap mare. Bianca with a shoulder tackle and Asuka stays on her feet. Asuka with a flying clothesline. Becky trips Asuka and pulls her to the floor. Becky with a kick to Asuka. Becky kicks Bianca from the apron and Bianca with a forearm to Becky on the turnbuckles. Bianca with a press slam for a near fall. Bianca floats over and hits a drop kick. Becky with a kick and back heel kick in the corner. Asuka with a drop kick off Bianca’s back to Becky. Asuka with a double clothesline.

Asuka with kicks to Becky and Bianca. Asuka with a hip attack and then Becky escapes a KOD. Asuka with a triangle but Bianca with a one arm buckle bomb. Asuka with a back heel kick and Asuka goes to the turnbuckles. Becky with a punch to the back of the head and Iconoclasm of Asuka onto Bianca for a near fall. Becky gets a near fall on Asuka and then she send Asuka to the floor. Becky with a leap frog neck snap for a near fall.

Becky kicks Bianca in the corner and chokes her in the ropes. Becky kicks Bianca in the corner and kicks and chokes Bianca. Bianca with an elbow and kick to Becky. Bianca goes for an O’Connor Roll but Becky holds on to the ropes. Bianca knocks Asuka off the apron when Becky moves. Becky puts Bianca in the ropes and hits a leg drop to the back of the neck for a near fall. Becky kicks Bianca. Becky with kicks to Bianca. Bianca with a jaw breaker and Becky goes for DisArmHer but Bianca escapes. Becky moves when Bianca charges into the corner. Becky with an exploder and then she hits a baseball slide on Asuka. Becky with a forearm off the apron to Asuka. Becky with a leg drop off the turnbuckles on Bianca for a near fall when Asuka breaks up the cover.

Asuka and Becky exchange forearms and Asuka with a back slide on Becky for a near fall. Asuka with a series of kicks and back fists followed by a German suplex. Asuka with a hip attack for a near fall. Asuka goes for the Asuka Lock but Becky with a rollup for a near fall. Becky goes for DisArmHer but Bianca with a punch to Becky. Becky lands on her feet on a KOD attempt but Bianca with a suplex to Becky and a drop kick to Asuka. Bianca with a shoulder to Asuka in the corner. Bianca with punches to Asuka and she flips over Becky. Bianca has Becky and Asuka in the corner and she connects with punches but Becky pulls Bianca by her hair. Bianca Irish whips Becky into the corner and hits a spinebuster. Bianca with a Glam Slam of Asuka onto Becky. Bianca with a handspring moonsault onto Becky and Asuka for a near fall.

Bianca puts Becky on the turnbuckles for a superplex but Asuka with a forearm to Bianca and it is time for a tower of doom but Bianca kicks Asuka away. Bianca flips over Asuka but Asuka with a Codebreaker to Bianca and then to Becky as Becky comes off the turnbuckles. Asuka with a hip attack to Becky and Bianca and Asuka gets a near fall on Becky and then on Bianca. Asuka with an ankle lock on Becky and then she blocks a kick from Bianca and Asuka with a double ankle lock. They both roll through and send Asuka to the floor. Becky and Bianca exchange forearms. Bianca misses with the hair but she gets a near fall. Becky goes for DisArmHer on Bianca but Bianca tries to block it. Bianca picks up Becky for a KOD but Becky holds the ropes. Becky with a back elbow to Bianca and Becky with a cross body and Bianca rolls through and picks up Becky. Asuka with a missile drop kick to Bianca and Becky sends Asuka to the floor. Bianca with an inside cradle for a near fall. Becky with a Manhandle Slam but Asuka breaks up the cover.

Asuka and Becky exchange punches and chops. Asuka with a back fist and Asuka goes for a back slide but Becky blocks it. Asuka blocks a Manhandle Slam and Asuka with a pop up knee. Asuka kicks Bianca when Becky rolls through. Becky gets a near fall when Asuka breaks it up. Asuka blocks a kick and hits a German suplex on Becky. Asuka misses a hip attack and Becky kicks her in the ropes. Becky with DisArmHer in the ropes. Bianca gets Becky up for a KOD but Asuka with a hip to Becky and Asuka and Bianca is knocked off the apron. Becky and Asuka alternate rollups for near falls. Asuka with an Asuka Lock but Becky gets to the ropes and bridges over for a near fall. Asuka returns to the Asuka Lock and Bianca goes for a double stomp but rolls through when she misses. Asuka with a kick and she goes for a hip attack but Bianca catches Asuka and gives her a Glam Slam Snake Eyes. Becky sends Bianca to the floor and hits a Manhandle Slam on Asuka for a near fall. Bianca throws Becky to the floor and gets the three count on Asuka for the three count.

Winner: Bianca Belair

After the match, Belair stands tall and celebrates as her music hits. We go to replays. Belair poses in the corner with the title while Asuka and Lynch look on.

Backstage:

MVP is talking to Omos and Cedric Alexander shows up and he talks about what he is going to do tonight. Porter tells Cedric to stop. You try to get back into my good graces and you never get the job done. The Hurt Business is done and it will never come back. We are no longer associates. Omos tells Cedric it is time for him to go.

— We see MVP’s new diss track and music video aimed at Bobby Lashley.

2-on-1 Handicap Match
Omos and MVP vs. Bobby Lashley

We go back to the ring and out first comes MVP and Omos for this 2-on-1 Handicap Match. Out next comes Bobby Lashley to a pop as the pyro explodes on the stage. Lashley hits the ring and poses in the corner as more pyro goes off.

Fans chant “Bobby!” as the bell hits. MVP starts the match for his team. Lashley sizes him up but MVP ducks into the ropes and fans boo. The referee holds Lashley back as MVP taunts him. MVP tags Omos in to really start the match. Lashley goes behind for a takedown but Omos blocks it. Lashley tries for a clothesline but Omos smiles as it does nothing.

Lashley goes behind again and ties the arm up but Omos easily tosses him to the mat. Omos barks at Lashley and stares him down. Omos calls for a test of strength but his hand is way up from Lashley. Lashley puts his hand up but then kicks Omos and unloads with strikes. Lashley goes for MVP but he jumps off the apron. Omos attacks Lashley in the corner but Lashley fights him off. MVP with a distraction, allowing Omos to deck Lashley in the corner, then toss him across the ring.

MVP tags in and mounts Lashley on the mat with right hands. Lashley kicks out at 1. MVP talks some trash to the crowd while working Lashley over. Lashley takes the shots, ducks a right hand and unloads on MVP with rights. MVP wrestles Lashley back to their corner, and apparently rakes his eyes. Omos tags in but Lashley dropkicks his knee after sending MVP to the floor. Lashley chops Omos down but Omos is still in it. Lashley goes for the big vertical suplex but Omos counters and slams Lashley with a suplex.

Omos launches Lashley into the top turnbuckle with Snake Eyes, then levels him with a running splash. Omos continues to dominate in the corner. Omos with another running splash in the corner. MVP tags back in and charges into the corner with the Ballin’ Boot, sending Lashley out to the floor. MVP stands tall to boos. MVP orders Omos to run around the ring and he does, smashing Lashley through the barrier and into the timekeeper’s area. Omos returns tot he ring and stands tall as the referee counts.

Lashley makes it back in at 9.5. MVP tags back in and beats Lashley down to the mat, then mounts him with more right hands. Lashley kicks out at 1. MVP mounts Lashley with more strikes. MVP drops a knee for a 2 count, then another quick pin attempt, and another. MVP is frustrated now. MVP tells Omos to watch this but Lashley escapes, knocks Omos off the apron, then takes MVP out with a Spear. Lashley covers for the win but Omos rushes back in and breaks the pin up.

Omos grabs Lashley by his head. Cedric Alexander flies in out of nowhere but Omos sends him right back out to the floor. Omos turns around to a big Spear by Lashley. Lashley is slow to recover but fans rally for him as he slowly gets back up. MVP misses the Ballin’ Boot and Lashley applies The Hurt Lock to him now. MVP starts fading and now he taps out for the finish.

Winner: Bobby Lashley

After the match, Lashley stands tall as the music hits and we see Omos checking on MVP at ringside. Lashley poses in the corner as we see replays. Lashley keeps posing in the corners and motioning for a title belt around his waist as fans cheer him on. The cheers are loud for Lashley tonight. Lashley goes to ringside and grabs a replica WWE Title belt from a fan, then raises it in the air and yells about being champion again as fans continue the ovation.

— The announcers confirm that Cody Rhodes suffered a partial pectoral tear on Raw and then he tore the muscle training for tonight’s match. The Hell in a Cell Match will still take place.

Kevin Owens vs. Ezekiel

The package for the Kevin Owens vs. Ezekiel match airs now. When it wraps up, we return inside Allstate Arena where Kevin Owens’ theme hits. Out comes the fan-favorite veteran to the ring for our third match of the evening. Ezekiel is next.

Owens calls Ezekiel a liar. Ezekiel with a jumping knee and an elbow drop for a near fall. Owens goes to the floor and Ezekiel follows. Ezekiel with a kick and chop. Ezekiel with punches and Owens with a kick. Ezekiel sends Owens into the apron and then the announce table. Ezekiel breaks the referee’s count. They exchange chops. Owens Irish whips Ezekiel into the ring post. Owens gets a near fall. Owens with kicks and a back senton followed by a moonsault for a near fall.

Owens with punches and he tells everyone that is Elias. Owens with a rear chin lock. Owens with a clothesline and a kick to the chest. Owens chokes Ezekiel in the ropes and he fish hooks Ezekiel. Owens with a punch and forearm. Owens with a chop and Ezekiel with a punch. Ezekiel with a hard Irish whip. Ezekiel with forearms to Owens followed by a back elbow. Ezekiel runs into a boot and Owens with a tornado DDT for a near fall. Owens goes up top for a swanton but Ezekiel gets his knees up.

Ezekiel with punches and kicks followed by a knee. Ezekiel sends Owens into the corner and he connects with punches and kicks. Ezekiel with kicks and Owens with an Irish whip. Ezekiel with a mule kick and a Stinger Splash on Owens. Ezekiel with another Stinger Splash. Ezekiel misses a third one but Ezekiel with a spinebuster for a near fall. Owens with a kick and Ezekiel escapes a stunner. Owens with a power bomb for a near fall. Owens tells Elias to admit it. Ezekiel with a punch. Owens goes for a stunner and Ezekiel with a rollup for a near fall. Ezekiel with a jumping knee and Owens crotches Ezekiel on the turnbuckles. Owens with two super kicks and then he hits a cannonball.

The Judgment Day vs. AJ Styles, Finn Balor and Liv Morgan

We go back to the ring and out first comes Judgment Day – WWE Hall of Famer Edge, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley. Ripley and Priest appear first, then Edge comes walking out between them. They all three step out from the shadows as the black and purple lighting comes up, and a large set of wings is shown on the screen. They pose on the apron now as Edge looks out around the Allstate Arena. Out next comes Liv Morgan for her team. Liv greets some fans near the entrance-way, then waits as Finn Balor makes his way out. AJ Styles is out next and they head to the ring together as Judgment Day looks on.

The women start things off and they have words for each other. Then the other four men get in the ring and all six people brawl. Balor with a double leg take down and double stomp to Priest while Edge is sent to the floor by Styles. AJ sends Liv to Rhea for a rana. Liv with an eibow into the corner and a running knee. Morgan runs into a head butt. Rhea with a suplex and kick to the back. Rhea with another suplex. Rhea goes for a delayed vertical supelx and she hits it. Rhea gets a near fall.

Rhea with punches to Liv. Rhea with an Irish whip. Rhea with shoulders in the corner. Liv with a kick and a missile drop kick. Rhea backs into her corner and Rhea invites her into the corner. Liv tags in AJ. AJ wants Edge, but Priest says he has this. AJ blocks a kick and he chops Priest. AJ with a drop kick after rolling out of an Irish whip. AJ with a Pele Kick. AJ with a wrist lock and Balor tags in. Balor with uppercuts to the arm. Priest gets Balor up but Balor gets to his feet. Balor with a side head lock and drop kick to the shin. Balor wraps the leg in the ropes. Priest with an elbow and Balor with a kick. Edge distracts Balor and Priest hits Balor from behind. Balor is sent to the floor and Edge tags in. Edge with a running forearm to Balor in front of the announce table. Edge sends Balor into the announce table and apron before returning Balor to the ring.

Edge punches Balor and tags Priest in. Priest with a kick to the midsection followed by punches. Priest with an elbow into the corner followed by a shoulder tackle for a near fall. Edge tags in and he kicks Balor. Edge with forearms to Balor. Edge with a hard Irish whip. Edge punches Balor in the corner. Balor kicks Edge and punches Priest but Balor is stopped by Edge from making the tag and Edge sends Balor face first to the mat. Edge gets a near fall. Priest tags in and connects with forearms. Priest with a clothesline and he gets a near fall. Priest with a reverse chin lock. Balor with a jaw breaker and Balor with forearms to try to make the tag but Priest holds on and hits a back breaker for a near fall.

Priest with kicks to Balor. Balor with a chop to stop a roaring elbow. Priest with a punch and Balor with a Pele Kick. AJ and Edge tag in and AJ with forearms and a clothesline. Edge with a sliding clothesline and a sit out gourdbuster to Priest. AJ with a clothesline itnoteh corner and an Ushigoroshi for a near fall. Liv goes after Rhea on the floor. AJ is sent to the apron and AJ with a sliding knee to Priest. AJ with a forearm to Edge and he hits a Phenomenal Forearm but Priest pulls AJ from the ring to break up the cover.

Rhea tags in so that means Liv comes in as well. Liv goes for a satellite head scissors but Rhea blocks it. Liv gets a near fall. Liv with a drop kick and a crucifix bomb for a near fall. Rhea with a half and half suplex to Liv followed by a package piledriver set up into a suplex for a near fall. Rhea sets for RipTide but Liv escapes and Balor tags in Liv with a DDT to Rhea. AJ punches Edge and Balor punches Priest. Balor sends Priest to the floor. Balor and AJ with stereo pescados and Liv with a suicide dive. Balor with a kick to Priest from the apron. Balor goes up top and Rhea crotches Balor while Edge distracts the referee.

Edge tags in and Balor kicks Priest and Edge. Priest with South of Heaven. AJ with a Phenomenal Forearm to Priest. Edge sends AJ shoulder first into the ring post. Balor with an inside cradle to counter a spear for a near fall. Balor with sling blade and a running drop kick. Balor goes up top and Rhea stands in front of Edge to block Coup de Grace. Liv gets on Rhea’s back and they go to the floor. Balor misses Coup de Grace and Edge with a spear for the three count.

Winners: The Judgment Day

After the match, The Judgment Day regroups in the middle of the ring as the music hits. Balor is laid out at their feet, while Liv and AJ are down at ringside trying to recover. We go to replays. The Judgment Day looks down at Balor again, then exits the ring.

Backstage:

We see how Bobby Lashley defeated MVP and Omos earlier tonight. Cedric Alexander and Bobby Lashley are backstage now. Lashley brings up Cedric’s earlier interference. Cedric says that was not for Lashley, it was for himself as he’s sick of being treated like an unwanted toy. Cedric says MVP and Omos got exactly what they deserved tonight. Cedric says instead of trying to find somewhere to belong, maybe he will find a way to stand on his own two feet now. Lashley says he’s proud of Cedric because you have to stand up for yourself around here. Lashley says one more thing – don’t ever interfere in one of my matches again, got it? Lashley and Cedric fist-bump and Lashley walks off to end the segment.

Madcap vs. Happy Corbin

Moss with punches and Corbin sends Moss into the turnbuckles but misses a splash. Moss clotheslines Corbin over the top rope to the floor. They fight up the aisle and Moss with punches. Corbin with a knee and he sends Moss into the LED wall. Corbin with punches. Moss sends Corbin into the ringside barrier a few times. Moss sends Corbin back into the ring but Moss clotheslines Corbin over the top rope again. Moss gets a chair but Corbin hits Moss to stop him. Corbin picks up the chair and throws it down.

Moss avoids being sent into the announce table and Moss with an elbow. Corbin sends Moss over the announce table. Moss throws a chair at Corbin. Moss sends Corbin into the ring steps. Moss sends Corbin into the ring steps and then he picks up the top part of the steps but Corbin goes into the crowd and he clotheslines Moss. Corbin drops Moss onto the ringside barrier and then connects with knees to the back. Corbin starts to pull out a table but puts it back under the ring. Corbin tells the people in the front row to move but he sends Moss back into the ring to mess with the fans. Moss with punches.

Corbin chokeslams Moss from the apron. Corbin brings a chair into the ring. Corbin hits Moss in the ribs and then the back with the chair. Corbin hits Moss in the back of the head with the chair. Corbin with punches. Moss with a drop toe hold onto the chair. Moss goes for a neck breaker but Corbin escapes and hits Deep Six for a near fall. Corbin goes under the ring and gets a chair. Corbin puts the chair on Moss’ throat. Corbin puts the chair in the turnbuckles and then he punches Moss in the ribs. Moss avoids an Irish whip into the chair and Corbin goes under the ring post and back in. Corbin charges at Moss and Moss sends Corbin into the chair in the turnbuckles.

Moss gets a chair from the floor and returns to the ring. Moss hits Corbin in the ribs and back with the chair. Moss hits Corbin many times with the chair. Moss with punches and kicks in the corner. Moss with a DDT onto the chair and Moss gets a near fall. Moss with running shoulders in the corner and then he sends Corbin over the top rope with a shoulder tackle. Corbin with a rolling tackle to the legs. Corbin sends Moss over the ringside barrier. Corbin punches Moss. Corbin puts the chair around Moss’ neck and sends him into the announce table.

Corbin brings the bottom part of the ring steps into the ring and puts them against the turnbuckles. Corbin sets for an Outsider’s Edge onto the steps but Moss escapes. Moss picks up Corbin and hits a fallaway slam onto the ring steps. Moss with Punchline. Moss puts the chair around Corbin’s neck and Moss picks up the ring steps. Moss drops the steps onto the chair and he gets the three count.

Winner: Madcap Moss

After the match, Moss stands tall as the music hits and we go to replays. Medics come down and tend to Corbin in the ring as Moss greets fans at ringside. Moss backs up the ramp as we get another replay of the finish. Moss talks some trash from the stage as Corbin is put in a neck brace, and then stretchered away from the ring, like Moss was a few weeks back. Moss is all smiles as he celebrates with the fans.

WWE United States Title Match
Mustafa Ali vs. Theory (c)

Back from a break and out comes WWE United States Champion Theory. We see recent happenings that led to tonight’s title defense. Theory poses in the corner and takes a selfie, which is then shown on the big screen. Out next comes hometown star Mustafa Ali to a big hometown pop. Fans chant for Ali as he faces off with Theory. Ali has his wife and others in attendance.

They go back and forth to start. Ali sends Theory out with an arm drag. Theory regroups and comes back in. They lock up and Theory drops Ali with a shoulder, then poses and talks some trash. Ali runs and nails a hurricanrana. Ali with arm drags now. Theory goes back to the floor and he’s frustrated. Fans chant for Ali again and Theory comes back in at the 9 count.

Ali goes to lock up but Theory retreats to the floor. Ali knocks him off and then goes to the top. Ali with a huge crossbody from the top to the floor. Ali with a chop against the barrier. Ali breaks the count but Theory launches him face-first into the ring post off a counter. Theory brings it back in and mounts Ali with rights and lefts.

Theory is frustrated at the “Theory sucks!” chants now. Ali looks to mount some offense as he goes to the top. Theory takes his legs out and sends him to the floor. Ali lands hard on the outside and Theory poses on the apron to boos. Theory works Ali around the ring now. Theory with a corner clothesline and a big fall-away slam in the middle of the ring. Theory grounds Ali with a headlock now. Ali fights back but Theory takes him back down. Ali levels Theory with a big spin kick. They run the ropes and Ali tackles Theory.

Ali ducks a charge in the corner and kicks Theory in the head from the apron. Ali launches himself back in and rolls at Theory for a takedown and a pop. Ali rocks Theory while he’s up top now. Ali climbs up but has to land on his feet. Ali looks to have hurt his knee. Theory leaps and collides into a kick which hurt Ali more, but still took him down. Ali kicks out at 2. Theory keeps control now. Ali goes to the top but Theory leaps up and joins him, then nails a modified Spanish Fly for a big pop. Theory covers but Ali kicks out.

Theory is frustrated now as he covers for two more quick pin attempts. Ali covers him for 2 now. They briefly tangle and Ali drops Theory with a kick. Ali avoids the ATL and nails a big tornado DDT from the second rope. Ali ends up going back to the top but Theory crotches him. Theory pulls Ali off the top onto his shoulders, signals for the ATL and goes for it but Ali blocks on the way down. Ali takes Theory down into the STF in the middle of the ring. Theory finally makes it to the bottom rope to break the hold as fans boo. Theory rolls under the bottom rope to the apron to regroup.

Ali limps over but Theory drops him over the top rope. Ali kicks Theory and charges but they tangle again, and it ends with Ali nailing an innovative tornado DDT. Fans go wild as Ali climbs to the top. He goes for the 450 Splash but Theory moves and Ali smacks the mat. Ali limps to his feet but Theory takes him back down with a chop block to the hurt knee. Ali yells in pain now but Theory grabs him for the ATL for the pin to retain.

Winner: Theory

After the match, Theory takes the title and stands tall as the music hits. Theory grabs his phone and drops down to take a selfie with the fallen hometown star. We go to replays. Theory continues celebrating as we see his selfie on the big screen. Theory backs up the ramp while talking trash and taunting Chicago.

– Back from a break and we see the Hell In a Cell structure being lowered from the rafters. We get a video package for tonight’s main event.

Hell In a Cell Match: Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins

We go back to the ring for tonight’s main event and out comes Seth Rollins to the Cell. Rollins begins marching out but he stops and reveals he’s wearing the polka dot gear worn years ago by WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes, which is seen as a negative these days. Rollins is all smiles as he heads to the Cell wearing Dusty’s polka dots. Out next comes the injured Cody Rhodes to a pop. Rhodes stops and hands his weight belt to a young fan at ringside. Rhodes hits the corners and poses as fans cheer him on, and the referee puts a lock on the Hell In a Cell door.

We get formal ring introductions from Rome now. You can see Rhodes’ bruised chest around the opening in his jacket. Rhodes finally takes his jacket off and he reveals a massive nasty bruise from his torn pec, covering half of his upper arm and half of his chest. Rollins laughs at the bruises.

Cody with a jab. Seth goes for the injured right pectoral but Cody with punches. Cody with a kick and jabs. Cody with Beautiful Disaster. Cody lands on his feet on a belly-to-back suplex attempt. Cody with a Cody Cutter. Cody goes for Cross Rhodes but Seth with a kick. Cody with a figure four leg lock. Seth gets to the ropes but there are no rope breaks. Seth looks under the ring and he gets a tool box and then he gets a kendo stick and hits Cody in the right side of his body. Seth hits Cody in the right arm with the kendo stick.
