Early Estimate For AEW Double Or Nothing PPV Buys

Early Estimate For AEW Double Or Nothing PPV Buys

AEW presented its Double Or Nothing event last Sunday from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas Nevada that was highly praised and was a success on pay-per-view.

It was headlined by CM Punk beating Adam Page for the AEW World heavyweight Title and featured the first-ever Anarchy In The Arena match as well as featuring the debuts of Stokely Hathaway and Athena.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the early numbers indicate the show did around 150,000-155,000 buys on traditional pay-per-view.  If the estimation is correct then it did more than Double or Nothing 2021, which pulled in around 140,000 buys.

Meltzer noted the crossover between WWE and AEW fans was limited for Double Or Nothing and WrestleMania 38 as only 3.2% of fans ordered both shows on pay-per-view. It should be noted that this doesn’t track those who watched on Peacock, the way majority of fans watch WWE’s events, so take that for what it’s worth.

AEW’s biggest PPV event did over 200,000 buys, which was last year’s All Out show that featured CM Punk’s first match back since 2014.
