WWE went back to their old Attitude Era bag of tricks tonight in Las Vegas.
There’s a truck advertising the upcoming WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view that will happen on Saturday, July 2nd. The show is also set to happen in Las Vegas, the same venue of tonight’s AEW Double Or Nothing. The WWE star who is featured prominently on the ad is Cody Rhodes.
As was noted a couple of days ago, WWE moved Money In The Bank from Allegiant Stadium to the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Tony Khan mocked McMahon for being forced to move because they are competing against UFC on that night.
The ad being shown to AEW fans is something out of the late 90s playbook when WWE and WCW would do things like this. Well played.
