WWE Acknowledges “Mixed” Fan Reactions For Roman Reigns

Tonight on RAW, WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns kicked off the show.

Reigns got cheered by a large portion of the audience as he made his way to the ring with The Usos and Paul Heyman. After the entrance, the announcers acknowledged that Reigns was getting a “mixed reaction” from the crowd. If that was a line from Vince McMahon, then it’s another sign that Reigns’ babyface turn could be coming soon.

As noted over the weekend, Reigns was getting babyface reactions at the live events in Europe and he’s been cutting babyface promos at the end of shows. At the show in London, Reigns was a total babyface and he included a line about The Rock.

Back in September, we noted that it was part of long-term plans for Reigns to become the top babyface and the idea is to elevate Reigns into the same stratosphere as names like Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart and Bruno Sammartino.

If Reigns turns babyface before WrestleMania then that could put The Rock in a position to play the heel role one last time.

On a related note, during the opening segment, The Usos were attacked by RK-Bro and Drew McIntyre walked out to start a brawl. All of the men involved in the segment will also be at SmackDown this Friday.
