WWE SmackDown Results (5/6) Uniondale, NY – We begin with highlight’s from last week’a Beat The Clock Challenge between Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair.

We are live from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, NY, as Michael Cole and Pat McAfee welcome us to the show. They hype tonight’s six-man confrontation and hype the fact that we’re having our first tables match on SmackDown in two years. They also announce a match tonight between Flair and Aliyah, starting now!

Charlotte Flair vs. Aliyah

Before the match starts, Charlotte acknowledges the fans who paid their hard earned money to see her.  She says she does not know why people call Long Island the armpit of New York.  Charlotte says people are saying that she was humiliated when she did not win the Beat the Clock Challenge.  Charlotte says she was screwed.  This woman clearly tapped out and said I Quit before the clock ran out.  Drew Gulak is an idiot.  The time went down and it confused her.  She says she will make Ronda say I Quit on Sunday.  She will cry like her own baby.  When she says I Quit, Charlotte says she would not be surprised that Ronda leaves WWE.

Charlotte tells everyone to say hello to Aliyah.  Charlotte asks her if she is enjoying her fifteen seconds of fame.  Charlotte says she will give everyone a preview of what is going to happen on Sunday.  Charlotte says she will pretend that she is Ronda.

Charlotte with a forearm and clothesline before the bell rings.  Charlotte with more forearms and she tells Aliyah to say I Quit.  Charlotte with more forearms.  

Ronda Rousey’s music plays and she makes her way to the ring. 

Rousey storms the ring but Flair kicks at her to keep her from entering. Rousey pulls Flair to the floor and they start brawling at ringside.

Rousey with big knee strikes to the gut. They tangle but Flair tosses Rousey into the barrier. Fans chant “Ronda Rousey!” now as she recovers and chases Flair into the ring. Flair immediately tackles her and mounts her with more offense. Rousey kicks Flair away but Flair nails a boot to the face. The brawl continues until referees and officials get in between them. Flair drops an official, apparently WWE Producer Shawn Daivari, with a big boot as they break away and keep fighting. They keep brawling on their feet and the mat as officials try to restore order. Flair is finally held back at ringside while Rousey is held in the ring. They keep yelling at each other as Rousey’s music starts back up.

— We take a look at the feud over the Women’s Tag Team Titles.   We are told that Naomi suffered a rotator cuff strain.

— Sasha Banks and Naomi make their way to the ring as we go to commercial.

Sasha Banks vs. Shayna Baszler

Sasha with forearms but Shayna pushes her away.  Sasha with a kick and Meteora for a near fall.  Sasha stands on the hand and grinds it into the mat.  Sasha misses a boot tot he arm.  Sasha with an arm breaker and then she works on the fingers.  Shayna goes for a cross arm breaker but Sasha traps the hands and gets a near fall with a rollup.  Shayna with a double wrist lock.  Sasha with a head scissors and rollup for a near fall.  Sasha goes for an arm bar and Natalya gets on the apron and distracts Sasha.  Shayna with a gutwrench gourdbuster.  Shayna kicks Sasha in the corner.  Sasha sends Shayna into the turnbuckles and Shayna misses a knee.  Sasha with punches and Shayna with an Irish hip.  Sasha goes for a head scissors out of the corner but Shayna catches Sasha and hits a side slam for a near fall.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Sasha gets a near fall.  Shayna with a double wrist lock.  Sasha sends Shayna through the ropes to the floor.  Sasha sends Shayna to the other side.  Sasha with a baseball slide to Shayna and she slams the arm into the announce table.  Sasha sends Shayna back into the ring and hits a double knee drop for a near fall.  Shayna with a punch and kick but Sasha goes to the apron and connects with a shoulder and kick.  Sasha with a wheelbarrow into a bulldog.  Sasha with a head scissors to Natalya on the floor.  Shayna with a knee when Sasha gets back into the ring and Shayna gets a near fall.

Sasha with a back slide for a near fall.  Shayna with an inside cradle and Natalya holds Sasha’s leg to get the three count.

Winner:  Shayna Baszler

After the match, Natalya and Shayna attack Sasha and Naomi.  Natalya holds Naomi while Shayna tries to stomp on the elbow but Naomi kicks Shayna.  Sasha and Naomi with a double Sole Food to Natalya.

— We take a look at the events that led to the six man tag match for Backlash.

Backstage:

Kayla Braxton is with the Usos in the back.  She asks them about the match on Sunday. Jey says the time for talking is done.  He says Riddle talks to much and he puts his foot in his mouth.  Jimmy says he is not afraid of snakes.  Jey says they are going to have some snakeskin Air Jordans after Backlash.

— HappyCorbin makes his way to the ring as we go to commercial.

Backstage:

We are back and Kayla Braxton is in the back with Riddle and Randy Orton.  She asks them about the Uso’s comments. Riddle says he was confused by what they said about putting his feet in his mouth.  Orton tells Riddle to stop.  Orton says they heard the Usos yapping their gums.  Orton says at Backlash, the Usos don’t have to worry about what shoes they will be wearing after the match because they will be in the ring with RK-Bro.

In the Arena:

Corbin is in the ring and he says if you think that bothers him, you are crazy.  Corbin says he has been thinking about what he is going to do to Moss on Sunday. Moss shows up on the TitanTron and says that no one wants to hear Corbin talk.  They want to hear him crack jokes.  Moss says that Corbin looks like he is trying out for a Pitbull cover band.   Corbin cuts off Moss and says that Moss says he thinks he is safe in the back.  Corbin says you don’t have the guts to say it to his face.

Moss makes his way to the ring.  He says he will say it to Corbin’s face now and he has some jokes and calls him a Big Bald Wolf. Corbin leaves the ring.

– Cole sends us to a video package on how Drew Gulak has been auditioning for a spot on the SmackDown broadcast team. We see how Charlotte Flair has humiliated him in recent weeks.

We go back to the ring and Drew Gulak is waiting now. Cole says he will face a mystery opponent tonight, but Gulak is happy because he’s back where he says he belongs, in the ring. Gulak says it feels good to be back in the ring as we go back to commercial.

Drew Gulak vs. Gunther

We are back and Gulak’s opponet is Gunther.

They lock up and Gunther with a wrist lock and he takes Gulak to the mat.  Gunther with an arm bar and Gulak with a reversal.  Gunther with a chop across the chest.  Gulak with a forearm and Gunther with a boot to the head.  Gunther with a chop and Gulak falls into the corner.  Gunther sends Gulak into the turnbuckles and then he puts Gulak on the turnbuckle and Gungher with a chop and he stretches Gulak on the turnbuckle.  Gunther with a sleeper and then he hits a power bomb for the three count.

Winner:  Gunther

After the match, Gunther stands tall in the middle of the ring as the music hits and we go to replays. Kaiser enters the ring and takes the mic to announce The Ring General as the winner. Most fans boo Gunther and Kaiser as they stand tall.

— We take a look back at Rick Boogs’ injury at Wrestlemania.  We see what Roman did to Shinsuke Nakamura after Wrestlemania.

Backstage:

Megan Morant is backstage with Nakamura now. She brings up his beef with The Bloodline. Nakamura says The Bloodline hurt his friend Boogs, then they jumped him and he hasn’t forgotten about that. Nakamura says one day soon when the time is right, he will get a piece of Roman Reigns, and Reigns will never forget. Nakamura walks off and we see Sami Zayn lurking in the background, eavesdropping.  Back to commercial.

Backstage:

Kayla Braxton is in the back with Drew McIntyre.   Drew is asked about the trash talking.  Drew says they will not run their mouths on his watch.  On Sunday, we have the six man tag match.  He says they deserve a sneak peak for Sunday.  The Head of the Table needs to have his head kicked off his body.

Ridge Holland and Sheamus vs. Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston in a Tables Match

Ridge and Kofi square off while Woods and Sheamus do battle.  Woods tries for a float over but Sheamus catches him and Woods with a DDT.  Woods punches Sheamus in the corner while Kofi punches Ridge on the floor.  Sheamus with a reverse atomic drop and Woods with a kick to the knee and a running knee.  Holland with a knee to the back of Woods.  Woods lands on his feet on a belly-to-back suplex attempt.  Kofi with a clothesline to Holland.  Woods and Kofi with kicks to Holland.

Woods stops Sheamus while Sheamus works over Kofi.  Xavier and Kofi get a table and hit Shemus with it.  They hit Shemus again with the table.  The table is brought back into the ring.  Kofi punches Holland while Woods moves the table.  Sheamus pushes the table out of the way to prevent a double suplex through the table.  Sheamus with a uranage back breaker.  Sheamus tries to power bomb Kofi through a table on the floor but Woods makes the save.  Holland misses Woods and hits the ring steps.  Sheamus punches Woods and gets Woods on his shoulders but Kofi makes the save.  Kofi kicks Sheamus off the apron but he avoids the table.  Kofi with a cross body off the ring post through the ringside barrier.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Sheamus with forearms to Woods while Ridge does the same to Kofi.  Holland picks up Woods and runs him into the ring post.  Kofi is brought back into the ring and they try to send Kofi through the table but he escapes.  Kofi wtih a kick to Sheamus and SOS to Holland.  Sheamus goes over the top rope to the floor when Kofi drops down.  Kofi with forearms to the chest.  Sheamus gets Kofi up and sets for an Air Raid Crash on the apron and hits it.  Woods knocks Sheamus into the ringside barrier.  Woods with a forearm to Holland.  Woods with a sunset flip and kick to Holland.  Holland with a head butt and he misses a splash into the corner.  Woods puts Holland on a table and Woods goes up top for an elbow drop through the table but Sheamus pulls Woods off the turnbuckles.  Woods holds his knee and Sheamus sends Woods into the turnbuckles.

Kofi with a drop kick to knock Sheamusoff the apron and Kofi with a trust fall to Sheamus.  Kofi pulls everything off the announce table and Sheamus goes for an Alabama Slam through the table but Kofi with a sunset flip.  Kofi with Trouble in Paradise to Sheamus and Butch comes from under the ring.  Butch punches Woods.  Sheamus with a Brogue Kick to Woods.  Butch with a running knee to Kofi.  Holland and Sheamus with a double choke slam through the table.

Winners:  Sheamus and Ridge Holland

After the match, Butch attacks Woods with forearms.

Backstage:

Kayla Braxton is with her special man, Paul Heyman.  Kayla asks Paul if he has a response to what Drew said. Paul asks Kayla if she is flirting with him.  He asks if Kayla is trying to get her to ask him out for some pizza.

Sami Zayn shows up and wants to talk to Paul. Sami tells Paul that as the locker room leader, he heard Shinsuke Nakamura talk about getting payback against the Bloodliine.  Sami would like for Paul to tell Roman that he will take care of Roman on his behalf. Paul tells Sami he has to tell Sami something he shouldn’t repeat.  Paul says that Roman appreciates Sami’a initiative. Sami wants to make sure that Roman knows that he is taking care of the Nakamura issue.

We go to commercial.

Backstage:

We are back and Adam Pearce is on the phone and Sami Zayn enters the office to request a match against Shinsuke Nakamura for next week. Adam says he can go one on one with Nakamura, right now. Sami says a minute or two is not enough time to get ready but he will accept it.

— We go on to Part 5 of Lacey Evans’ story.

Lacey says her father lost his battle with mental health and addiction and overdosed right before her WWE debut.  She says she had other family members who overdosed.  Before her first match in NXT, a family member was in the parking lot due to an overdose.  Lacey says that was the day she decided to do what was best for her.  On what should have been her happiest moment in her life, instead of being excited, she was broken.  She had her first match in front of her daughter.  She says she has carried the weight of her family for so long. 

Now it is my time to show the world the power we have to break the cycle.  To show that when you second guess yourself and feel so broken.  What are they going to do to her to stop her?  What are they going to do to bring her down that her life hasn’t done already.  Lacey says she will soon be the Smackdown women’s champ.

We go to the ring now and Samantha Irvin has the mic. She talks about the recent promos from Evans and says before she’s introduced tonight, Evans asks that they give her a proper reception. The music hits and out comes Evans to a big pop. She poses for the fans for about a minute and that’s the end of the segment.

– Cole sends us to our DoorDash Highlight of the Night, which looks at Raquel Rodriguez and how she dominated her debut over enhancement talent Cat Cardoza two weeks ago.

Back to commercial.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Sami Zayn

They lock up and Zayn with a wrist lock into an arm bar.  Zayn kicks Nakamura in the head and applies a wrist lock.  Nakamura with a reversal and arm wringer.  Nakamura kicks Zayn in the head.  Nakamura with a snap mare and a knee drop for a near fall.  Zayn tries to get out of the ring and Nakamura stops him.  Zayn with boots to Nakamura.  Zayn chokes Nakamura in the ropes.  Nakamura with a knee to the midsection and a knee drop.  Nakamura with kicks to Zayn and an enzuigiri.  Nakamura puts Zayn in the ropes and hits a sliding German suplex.  Nakamura sets for Kinshasa but Zayn with a Michinoku Driver for a near fall.  

We go to commercial.

We are back and Zayn with cross faces and a reverse chin lock.  Nakamura backs Zayn into the corner to escape.  Zayn with a forearm off the turnbuckles for a near fall.  Zayn goes to the turnbuckles and comes off and is met with a kick to the midsection.  Nakamura with knees to the midsection.  Nakamura kicks Zayn in the head and goes to the turnbuckles with a kick to the back of the head and he gets a near fall.   Zayn with  punch and Nakamura with a kick.  Zayn with punches and Nakamura with kicks.  Nakamura with a roll through into a cross arm breaker but Zayn blocks it momentarily.  Zayn with  rollup for a near fall.  Nakamura with a spinning heel kick.

Nakamura with the set up for Kinshasa and Sami goes to the floor.  Nakamura with a jumping side kick in front of the announce table.  Zayn pushes Nakamura into the ringside barrier and connects with a boot to the head.  Zayn gets back into the ring before the ten count.

Winner by Count Out:  Sami Zayn

— Raw Tag Team Champions Randy Orton and Riddle make their way to the ring as we go to commercial.

In the Arena:

We are back and Drew McIntyre makes his way to the ring.

Drew starts to tell Long Island to acknowledge him but Riddle interrupts.  Riddle ask them what do they acknowledge.  Riddle acknowledges that Randy is his best friend.  Orton says he acknowledges that he still has Drew’s hand print on his chest when he beat him for the title two years ago.  Drew acknowledges that he won back that title.  Riddle says they acknowledge that bygones are bygones and everything is in the past.  Riddle says he acknowledges that Randy has the most muscular legs in WWE.  Randy acknowlege that the sky is blue and the grass is green and that the Usos have had their lips on Roman’s butt for years.  Drew says what they do on Sunday will be a joint decision.

Roman Reigns’ music plays and he comes out with Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, and Paul Heyman. 

The Bloodline stops on the stage and stares the ring down. Heyman takes all the gold as Reigns and The Usos march to ringside now. The two sides stare each other down as fans cheer. The Bloodline enters the ring now and the tension picks up. A big brawl suddenly breaks out to a pop. Riddle gets sent to the floor by Jimmy Uso. Orton is also sent out to the floor. Reigns hits Drew with a Superman Punch to bring him to one knee. The Usos hold Drew now while Reigns unloads with right hands. Reigns plays to the crowd for boos and cheers.

Riddle runs in and hits Jey Uso with the RKO, then Orton rushes back in and hits Jimmy with the RKO. Reigns goes for Orton but Drew drops Reigns with a Claymore Kick. The Bloodline retreats to the floor as Drew’s music starts up and the babyfaces stand tall in the middle of the ring. The two teams yell at each other and stare each other down as the WrestleMania Backlash go-home edition of SmackDown goes off the air.
