NXT 2.0 Results (5/17) – We begin with a recap of last week’s show.

— Carmelo Hayes tells Solo to shut up about having next. You got last. Hayes says Grimes is a lucky man. Trick says in three weeks, the title goes back where it belongs.

Solo Sikoa and Cameron Grimes vs. Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes

Grimes and Sikoa work over Hayes and send him to the floor.  SIkoa with a back senton to Williams followed by a head butt.  Sikoa with kicks to Williams.  Sikoa with a slam and punch.  Grimes tags in and Sikoa with chops and Grimes with kicks to Williams.  Grimes with a snap mare and drop kick to Williams for a near fall.   Grimes with an arm bar and a wrist lock.   Williams with a kick to the chest and a flying clothesline.  Williams tosses Hayes into Grimes for a near fall.  Hayes with knees to Grimes and he flips over Grimes’ back.  Williams and Sikoa tag in and Sikoa with punches and an Irish whip followed by a splash into the corner.  Sikoa with a running hip into the corner.  Sikoa goes to the apron and he forces Hayes to fall down because of “The Look” from New Guy.  Williams with a kick and neck breaker to Sikoa. 

Hayes tags in and kicks Sikoa. Williams tags back in and Williams with a drop kick for a near fall. Williams has some words for Grimes before returning to Sikoa. Hayes tags in and he has some words for Sikoa before connecting with a punch. Sikoa with head butts and Hayes tries for a head butt, but it hurts him as much as it hurts Sikoa. Hayes with a front face lock and Williams tags in. Williams with a forearm to the back. Hayes tags in and they hit a double back elbow. Hayes gets a near fall. Hayes slams the arm into the mt and then he tags Williams back in. Williams kicks Sikoa and then he sets for a slam and sends Sikoa to the mat. Hayes tags in and hits an elbow drop. Hayes gets a near fall.

Hayes wtih kicks to Sikoa and he has more words for Grimes.  Hayes with a reverse chin lock.  Hayes with punches and Sikoa pushes Hayes away and punches Williams.  Hayes is sent over the top rope to the floor but Hayes trips Sikoa and htis a slingshot elbow drop to the back.  Sikoa avoids a neck breaker from Williams and Williams misses a splash into the corner.  Grimes and Hayes tag in and Grimes with clotheslines and forearms to Williams and Hayes.  Grimes with a double rana and he goes to the apron and kicks Williams from the apron and then connects with a shoulder from the apron on Hayes.  Grimes with a cross body from the top to Hayes.  

Sikoa tags himself in and SIkoa gets Hayes up but Williams makes the save.  Williams with a kick to Sikoa and Grimes with a kick.  Hayes with a springboard cross body.  Sikoa with a uranage to Hayes and Grimes with Cave In to Williams.  Sikoa with a frog splash for the three count.

Winners:  Cameron Grimes and Solo Sikoa

After the match, Sikoa and Grimes shake hands.  The referee brings the title belt to Grimes but Sikoa takes it before handing it to Grimes.

— McKenzie Mitchell is in the back with Pretty Deadly.  She asks about their tag title match against the Creeds at In Your House. Elton and Kit say they are scared and cannot sleep but then they laugh.  Elton says that everyone is afraid of the Creeds, but they beat them in their first match.  He says the Diamond Mine can brings in whoever they want to train with them, but he says they are two tasty treats.  Kit tells Elton to see what happens when the Viking Raiders take care of them.

We go to commercial.

— We are back with a video package for Thea Hail.  She mentions that she has been signed by WWE.  She says the tryout was one of the hardest things she has done.  She says she is pretty sure she was the youngest one there, but that didn’t matter.  She wanted to prove she belongs.  She says there is one thing she needs to do first and that is graduate high school next week.  I will be able to train while I go to college.

— Tatum Paxley says Lash Legend has the biggest mouth but that does not intimidate me.  I am the strongest in the tournament and I will power to the second round.

Legend with a kick and she gets a near fall.  Legend with another kick to Tatum.  Lash with an Irish whip and Tatum tries to float over but Lash catches her and takes Lash down with a head scissors.  Tatum with a drop kick to the knee and another drop kick for a near fall.  Tatum tries to lift Lash on her shoulders but Lash stops her.  Lash sends Tatum into the turnbuckles and wrings the leg into the ring post.  Tatum with  back elbow and a sunset flip but Lash rolls through and kicks the hamstring.  Lash goes to the apron and she wraps the leg in the ropes and pulls at the leg while going to the floor.  Lash gets a near fall.  Lash with a Stretch Muffler and Tatum pulls herself up and punches Lash and gets a sunset flip for a near fall.

Tatum with forearms.  Tatum tries to get Lash up but her knee gives out.  Lash sends Tatum into the turnbuckles and misses a splash.  Tatum with  suplex and she holds her injured leg.  Tatum with a twisting senton for a near fall.  Lash misses a round kick and Tatum tries one more time to get Lash up but her knee gives out.  Lash with a bicycle kick for the three count.

Winner:  Lash Legend

— Tony D’Angelo says they didn’t have to get to this point but it will be finished tonight.  Channing and Troy ask how are they going to do this.  They talk about what they did to people in the past.  Tony says he will take care of Santos alone.  He says he is The Don so trust him.

We go to commercial.

— We are back and Vic mentions that NXT will be returning to live events starting on June 10th throughout Florida.

— McKenzie is with Duke Hudson and she asks him what is next. Duke says he does not care what the NXT Universe wants or needs.  That is why he took some time off.  He had to clear his mind.  No one can measure up to him. Bron Breakker enters the interview area and walks past and demands his music. Duke is not happy.

— Bron Breakker walks to the ring.

Bron says the last time you saw him, Joe Gacy dumped him in a field like a piece of trash.  Now he wants him to join him.  Joe has two people who do everything he tells them to do.  He tells Joe that after they have all been through, he can kiss his ass.  He should have finished the job in the field.  I am going to put you unconscious.

Joe Gacy’s music plays and he appears on the balcony with his Velvet Knights.

Bron says he does not trust Bron and he is ready for whatever plans he has for him.  He tells Gacy to come to the ring. Joe says that Bron is so predictable.  When you are engulfed in your rage, you become predictable.  I can envision the violence you are going to cause but our journey is not yet over.  You rejected the opportunity of a lifetime to join him.  Gacy says he does not hold a grudge and he will give Bron and the people what they want.  You and me, one on one.

Bron says he is on.

Gacy says they should up the stakes because of what I did to your father and your family’s legacy.  I played with your mind and abducted you and left you alone in the wilderness.  You should kick my ass around the arena and inflict pain on my like never before.  You can lose control, but if you lose control, then you lose your most prized possession.  At In Your House, if you get disqualified, you will lose the NXT Championship.  How bad do you want it?  It is up to you.

Bron tells Joe he is on.

— Indi Hartwell says you can go from the top to the bottom in the blink of an eye.  I am not going to let myself down.  For the first time, I am flying solo.  It is sink or swim for what I am going to do.  Mandy Rose, do you want to kick me when I am down.  How about you do it when staring me face to face.

We go to commercial.

— We are back and Wes Lee is with McKenzie Mitchell and she tells Wes his match is cancelled.  Wes says Xyon is not medically cleared so he is ducking him.  Whenever he is cleared, Xyon knows where to find him. Nathan Frazer shows up and he says that he knows Wes wants to be in the ring tonight and so does he.  Wes says it might not be the right time.  He has a lot of pent up aggression with Xyon.  Frazer says he is up for the challenge.

— We take a look at what Roderick Strong did to help the Creeds defeat the Viking Raiders two weeks ago.

The Viking Raiders Vs. The Creed Brothers

Julius leaps over Ivar with a boot to the back and then hits Erik.  Brutus and Julius send Ivar to the floor with a double shoulder tackle.  Ivar gets back into the ring and Erik and Julius tag in.  Julius with a side head lock and Erik with a shoulder tackle.  Ivar tags in and they hit the windmill punches.  Erik tags back in and Ivar with a slam and Erik gets a near fall.  Erik with an arm bar and he goes for the ankle.  Erik backs Julius into teh corner and Ivar tags in and punches Julius and connects with shoulders.  Erik tags back in and Erik with a splash intot he corner and Ivar with a clothesline for a near fall.  Erik goes after the knee again but Julius escapes and tags in Brutus.

Brutus with forearms to Erik followed by a double leg take down and forearms to Erik.  Brutus with a dead lift German suplex.  Brutus gries to pick up Ivar and he gets Ivar up and puts him on the turnbuckles.  Julius drop kicks IVar off the turnbuckles to the floor.  Brutus goes up top and hits a cannonball off the turnbuckles.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Julius with a cobra clutch and an Irish whip.  Brutus tags in adn Julius with a gutwrench slam of Brutus onto Erik for a near fall.  Julius tags in and connects with a forearm.  Brutus tags in and Erik with forearms to Brutus and Julius.  Ivar and Julius tag in and Ivar with a forearm and clothesline into the corner.  Ivar with a clothesline followed by a forearm to knock Brutus off the apron.  Ivar with elbows to Julius in the corner.  Ivar with a bronco buster to Julius for a near fall.   Erik tags in and Ivar is sent to the floor.  Brutus tags in and Brutus kgets Ivar up and Julius with a jumping knee and Brutus gets a near fall.  Erik sends Brutus to the floor and he tags in Ivar.

Ivar with a seated splash and Erik tags in.  Ivar sets for a power slam off the turnbuckles and Erik gets a near fall.  Erik with a German suplex to Brutus.  Ivar tags in and Julius with a German suplex and then he leaps to the turnbuckles to try for a superplex but Ivar sends him to the mat.  Ivar misses a frog splash and Julius gets a near fall with a rollup.  All four men are in the ring and they stagger to the center of the ring.  They exchange punches and Ivar with a boot to Julius and Erik with a knee to send Brutus to the floor.  Damon Kemp gets on teh apron and Strong goes for a knee but Julius sends Strong to the floor.  Ivar with a spin kick of doom and then they hit a double power bomb on Julus for the three count.

Winners: The Viking Raiders

After the match, Strong has some words for the Creeds. Kemp tries to play peacemaker.

— Santos Escobar says since their paths crossed, you have wanted to be like me.  There will only be one Santos Escboar.  I am inside your head.  I trust it will be one-on-one tonight.  Cruz says it won’t be one on one.  He wants to get his hands on them.  Wilde says this is more than personal.  Lopez says never let emotions get in the way of business.  He tells Cruz and Wilde what they can do to help him.

— Grayson Waller is in the back shadow boxing and Tiffany Stratton shows up.  Grayson says it is a travesty that Tiffany is not in the tournament.  Tiffany tells Waller to take care of this Andre Chase situation.

We go to commercial.

— We are back with footage from the Most Dangerous Parking Lot in Sports Entertainment, where Bron Breakker is asked if he is playing into Gacy’s hands by accepting the match.  Bron says that as long as he is champion, Gacy won’t do anything. Duke Hudson shows up and says if Bron disrespects hiim again, he might not make it to In Your House. Bron suggests they go inside and settle things but Duke says they can do it next week.

Grayson Waller vs. Andre Chase

Waller with a forearm to the back of the head and he connects with knees.  Waller with an elbow in the corner.  Waller chokes Chase in the ropes.  Chase blocks a hip toss and hits a neck breaker.  Chase with a kick and European uppercut.  Chase with punches.  Waller with a boot to the chest and he punches Chase.  

We see Sarray in the crowd with the student sectio.  

Waller goes for a suplex but Chase blocks it.  Waller with a suplex for a near fall.  Waller with a boot to the head.  Waller wtih an Irish whip and Chase with an elbow and knee.  Chase with a sunset flip for a near fall.  Waller with a jumping leg lariat for a near fall.  Waller with a boot to the back and Chase is not happy.  Waller with a knee to the back and forearm to the back.  Waller gets Chase on his shoulders and Chase gets to his feet.  Waller misses a clothesline and Chase with a double leg take down and catapult into the turnbuckles.  Chase with double sledges to the chest followed by a reverse atomic drop.  Chase with a side Russian leg sweep.

Chase with the C-H-A-S-E-U Stomp.  Waller with a punch and Chase sends Waller over the top rope and Waller lands on Bodhi.  Chase checks on Hayward before returning to the ring.  Waller with a rolling cutter for the three count.

Winner:  Grayson Waller

— We take a look at Toxic Attraction in the back watching Katana Chase and Kayden Carter’s comments.  Mandy Rose shows up and asks if they heard what Indi said.  Gigi asks if Mandy saw what Kayden and Katana said.  Gigi says they have dominated for the last eight months.  Gigi says there is not enough respect on Toxic Attraction’s name and it starts with Indi Hartwell.

— We are back and Diamond Mine is arguing.  Strong says he got the Creeds a title match so they should be thanking him.  They won’t beat Pretty Deadly if they don’t follow his lead. Elton and Kit show up and tell Roddy that his boys can’t beat them.  Elton and Kit talk about how Roddy is a former tag champ but he is a singles wrestler now.  Strong suggests that him and Damon Kemp face Pretty Deadly next week.

— Kiama James says when looking at the field, she is the most strategic woman.  She does not care who Roxanne Perez is or where she came from because her chances to win are astronomical.  Everyone will see that she succeeds in whatever she does.

Roxanne Perez vs. Kiana James in a Breakout Tournament First Round Match

Perez with a waist lock.  James with an arm bar and take down.  Perez with a drop toe hold and arm drags.  Perez with a back heel kick and a drop kick for a near fall.  James kicks Perez and gets a near fall.  James with more kicks and she applies a bow and arrow.  Perez escapes and gets a near fall.  James sends Perez into the turnbuckles and connects with a shoulder.  James with a kick and she tries for a Boston Crab but Perez blocks it.  James goes for the Boston Crab again and she gets Perez over.  

James pulls Perez into the center of the ring but Perez escapes and gets a near fall.  Perez gets another near fall.  Perez goes for a crucifix but James counters with a satellite back breaker for a near fall.  Perez with a head scissors take down.  PErez with forearms and clotheslines.  Perez with a Thesz press and punches.  Perez with an elbow in the corner followed by a side Russian leg sweep for a near fall.  James blocks a suplex and Perez pushes James away.  James iwth a side slam for a near fall.  James goes for a shoulder in the corner but Perez floats over and hits Code Red for the three count.

Winner:  Roxanne Perez

— We go to the back and Malik Blade and Edris Enofe participate in the NXT Players Theater peformance of Tony D’Angelo and Santos Escobar. Troy and Channing show up and tell them that when they are done playing make believe, they can do the real thing, next week.

— Nathan Frazer walks in the back as we go to commercial.

— We are back and Roxanne Perez is with McKenzie. Cora Jade interrupts and celebrates with Roxanne. McKenzie asks Cora about her match with Natalya. Elektra Lopez interrupts and says tonight is about Legado and next week will be about here when she takes care of Alba Fyre.  She is looking at an overachiever who will lose to Lash Legend and someone who is happy they lost to Natalya.

Wes Lee vs. Nathan Frazer

They lock up and Lee with a wrist lock.  Frazer with a reversal into a side head lock.  Lee with a side head lock and he floats over Frazer but Frazer blocks an arm drag.  Frazer flips over Lee and Frazer with an arm drag.  Lee with an arm drag and Frazer with a rollup for a near fall.  Lee gets a near fall after a leg sweep.  Frazer blocks a kick from Lee.  Frazer with a side head lock and Lee avoids Frazer.  Frazer sends Lee to the apron and Lee trips Frazer to send him to the floor.  Lee with a pescado.  Frazer with a suicide dive and he sends Lee back into the ring.  Frazer with a springboard move and Lee tries for a kick but Frazer blocks it.  Lee with a dead lift German suplex for a near fall.

Lee with a kick and Frazer with an enzuigiri to stop Lee on the turnbuckles.  Frazer goes for a superplex and Lee counters with a lateral press for a near fall.  Frazer with a thrust kick and Frazer goes up top and misses a Phoenix Splash but rolls through.  Both men with cross body presses at the same time and both men are down.  

Von Wagner hits Frazer with a huge boot and the referee calls for the bell.

WInner by DQ:  Wes Lee

After the match, Lee goes after Wagner but Wagner with a boot to the head.  Wagner presses Lee over his head and he sends Lee off the announce table.

— We see Sofia Cromwell watching from the top of the bleachers.

— We see Tony D’Angelo in the back and he walks to the ring. Santos Escobar does the same.

We go to commercial.

— We are back and Wes Lee and Nathan Frazer walk in the back. Sanga says it was very unfair what happened to you.  Sanga says two men of your size should have trouble with Von. Wes asks if he is taking shots at him.  Wes says he won’t stand for this disrespect and Sanga says he means no disrespect.  Wes tells Sanga he will see him in the ring.  Wes says he will prove you don’t have to be ten feet tall to be successful.

— Next week, Bron Breakker faces Duke Hudson.  We will also see Mandy Rose versus Indi Hartwell.  

Santos Escobar vs. Tony D’Angelo

They have words for each other before locking up.  Tony with a punch on the break.  Santos with a waist lock and take down into a front face lock.  Tony tries to escape and Santos with a waist lock.  Tony gets to the ropes to force a break.  Santos goes for the legs but Tony blocks it and he punches Santos.  Tony with a back elbow and punches.  Tony with a shoulder in the corner but Santos with an Irish whip.  Tony sends Santos to the apron and Tony with a neck breaker against the ropes.

Tony with a punch and a swinging neck breaker.  Tony with a cravate and he runs Santos’ ear against the top rope.  Tony with punches and but Santos avoids the neck breaker.  Santos with an enzuigiri and Tony goes to the floor.  Santos goes for a suicide dive but Tony with a forearm as Santos gets to the ropes.  Tony puts on his hat and he has some words for Santos.  Tony pushes Santos back into the ring.  Tony with knees to Santos followed by punches.  Tony with shoulders in the corner.  Santos punches Tony and Tony with a clothesline.  Tony gets a near fall.  Tony chokes Santos in the ropes.  Santos with forearms and punches but Tony with a knee.  Santos goes for a head scissors take down and Tony blocks it and hits a power bomb for a near fall.

Tony with a seated abdominal stretch.  Tony with a dragon sleeper and a reverse DDT for a near fall.  Tony kicks Santos and follows with a knee to the ribs.  Tony with punches to the ribs.  Santos with a drop kick and a second one to send Tony to the floor.  Santos with a suicide dive onto Tony and Tony holds his shoulder.  Santos sends Tony into the ring steps.  Santos with a slingshot senton to Tony.  Santos chokes Tony in the corner.  Santos works on the shoulder and sends him to the mat with an arm wringer.  Santos with a hammer lock using the leg.  Tony gets to the ropes to force a break.  Santos with a drop kick to the shoulder.  Tony with a punch and Santos with a kick and a divorce court for a near fall.

Santos with an arm bar.  Santos with a forearm to the shoulder.  Tony with punches and a clothesline.  Tony with another clothesline and back elbow.  Tony with a belly-to-belly suplex and a second one.  Tony goes for another belly-to-belly suplex and he hits it.  Santos kicks Tony and rolls to the floor.  Tony grabs Santos by the hair and he tries to suplex Santos back into the ring and Santos gets back to the apron.  Santos with a kick and both men get to the turnbuckles.  Santos with a Frankensteiner and both men are down.  Tony reaches for something in the steps but he cannot find it.  Wilde and Cruz show Tony the crowbar.  Troy and Channing attack Wilde and Cruz from behind.

Santos with a punch and he puts something back in his tights before getting the three count.

Winner:  Santos Escobar

After the match, we see that Santos grabbed brass knuckles to use on Tony.

— Joe Gacy says he has predicted every move from Bron Breakker. We know you have uncontrollable rage and you will not be able to control it next week or at In Your House.  Your rage will give me full control of NXT and the world.

Gacy maniacally laughs and we go to credits.
