Cody Rhodes Vs The Miz Set For RAW - Six-Man Tag Team Match Set SmackDown

Cody Rhodes will compete on the May 23 episode of WWE RAW.

A commercial during the May 20 episode of WWE SmackDown revealed that “The American Nightmare” will face The Miz on Monday night. This bout will a rematch of Rhodes’ in-ring return to RAW; on the April 11 episode, he defeated the former WWE Champion.

The preview, courtesy of WWE’s official website, is as follows:

Before Cody Rhodes steps inside Hell in a Cell, he will look to build momentum for the Premium Live Event when he takes on The Miz.

The A-Lister will no doubt try to steal the spotlight from the returning Superstar and earn the respect he believes he’s due, but will Miz be able to pull one over on The American Nightmare?

Next Week’s WWE SmackDown will feature a six-man tag team bout.

On the May 20 episode, Xavier Woods defeated Butch in the latest chapter of a lengthy feud between their respective teams. After the bout, Butch attacked Woods when Sheamus and Ridge Holland distracted him. Woods’ tag team partner, Kofi Kingston, was absent on Friday, and he’ll be back in action next week.

But their New Day stablemate, Big E, is currently sidelined with a neck injury, so the duo is outnumbered. For this reason, later in the show on Friday, Woods announced that he will call on a mystery partner to join him and Kingston to face Holland, Butch and Sheamus next week.

As of this writing, the six-man tag team bout is the only match that has been set for next week’s show.
