Rick Boogs underwent the knife earlier this week in Birmingham, Alabama. According to PWinsider, the surgery to repair his quad tear was a success.
The report added that Boogs is slated to leave Birmingham this weekend to return home and begin the process of rehab.
In the main event of WrestleMania 38 Saturday in Dallas, Texas, Boogs teamed with Shinsuke Nakamura to challenge SmackDown Tag Team Champions TheUsos. Boogs went to deadlift The Usos when he collapsed. He managed to crawl and tag in Nakamura before rolling out to the floor.
Nakamura worked a few minutes before they ended the match short and went to the finish. Boogs was helped to the backstage area by referees following the match.
