Kane (aka Glenn Jacobs) is reportedly scheduled to make a special appearance on tonight’s WWE RAW.
Kane is also the Mayor of Knoxville, Tennessee, which is the location of tonight’s WrestleMania Backlash go-home edition of RAW. Fightful Select reports that The Mayor is scheduled to appear on the show.
The early pitch for Kane’s return to WWE TV is for him to be involved in a segment with Ezekiel and Kevin Owens. Plans can always change, but the Owens vs. Ezekiel feud is set to continue tonight with help from The Big Red Mayor.
Speaking of tonight’s show, PWinsider reports WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions The Usos are scheduled for the show. New Day, Sheamus, Butch, and Ridge Holland are also backstage at the event.
It’s likely The Usos will appear on the show to further build their title unification bout at WrestleMania Backlash against Raw Tag Team Champions RK-Bro (Randy Orton and Riddle).
The other names could be used just for dark matches as WWE has been bringing in talent from other brands to work these bouts for the live fans as a way to help boost ticket sales.
WWE has already confirmed several segments and a big match for Raw including the return of Becky Lynch, who hasn’t been seen on television since dropping the Raw Women’s Title to Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 38 earlier this month. An arm wrestling challenge between Bobby Lashley and Omos has been booked as well as WWE holding a 20th-anniversary celebration for Randy Orotn.
The likely main event will be Belair defending the Raw Women’s Title against Sonya Deville, which was originally slated to take place at WrestleMania Backlash before being moved to Raw. It’s possible WWE books a rematch for the upcoming event.
