WWE SmackDown Results (3/11) Birmingham, AL – We start off with a look back at last weekend’s Madison Square Garden show and what happened between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar.

We are live from the Legacy Arena in Birmingham, AL, as WWE Champion Brock Lesnar makes his way to the ring.

Brock mentions Roman Reigns.  Brock says that Roman has changed the rule and the game.  Brock says for the last six days, he has dropped his ass out of bed and looked in the mirror at what Roman did to him.  You done changed the rules.  You don’t draw first blood on Brock Lesnar and live to talk about it.  Brock says he is here for blood tonight.  He does not care about Wrestlemania contracts.  He doesn’t care about WWE titles (as he throws the title at Pat McAfee).  Brock yells at Roman to bring his ass out here.  He tells Roman that he done screwed up.  He wants his blood.  He wants blood for blood.

Paul Heyman comes out and he wants to have the temperature taken down.  He tells Brock to listen to him.  You got bled by the Bloodline.  You got smashed by the Tribal Chief.  You want Roman Reigns?  He is not here this evening.  Paul says he knows Brock better than anyone on this planet.

Brock tells Paul to shut up.  If what is coming out of your fat lying jowels is true and Roman is not here… Paul tells Brock that it is for his protection. Brock asks Paul if Brock is not here, who is going to protect you?

Heyman looks worried now. Lesnar drops the mic and exits the ring, then rushes to the stage as Heyman runs away tot he back. The camera cuts backstage to Heyman running. Lesnar isn’t far behind. Heyman screams for security to stop Lesnar but he fights them off. Lesnar keeps running but Heyman hops into a SUV and it speeds away. Lesnar seethes.

– Cole and McAfee show us how Sheamus and Ridge Holland destroyed Kofi Kingston and Big E’s four-wheeler last week.

Backstage:

Megan Morant is backstage with Sheamus and Holland now, asking why they destroyed the quad and their chances for tonight’s tag team match. Sheamus jokes about improving the quad because that’s what they do. Holland says tonight will be a proper Fight Night. Morant asks if that’s why they brought sledgehammers. Sheamus and Holland go on about how they brought someone better than sledgehammers, someone dangerous. This person’s name is Butch. Pete Dunne suddenly appears with a new look. His name is now Butch. They head off to the ring together.

Big E and Kofi Kingston vs. Sheamus and Ridge Holland

We go back to the ring and out comes Kofi Kingston and Big E. We go to commercial.

We are back and Big E attacks Sheamus before the bell rings and so does Kofi.  Sheamus goes to the floor and the referee yells at everyone.

Sheamus kicks and punches Kofi when the match officially starts.  Sheamus backs Kofi into the corner and Holland tags in and punches Kofi and follows with a European uppercut.  Kofi with a side head lock and Holland with a shoulder tackle.  Kofi with a jumping back elbow.  Kofi goes for a sunset flip but Holland with a knee drop.  Holland with an Irish whip and Kofi with a drop kick out of the corner for a near fall.  Sheamus tags in and so does Big E.  Big E knocks Sheamus off the apron and then he punches Sheamus in the corner followed by kicks.  Sheamus with a forearm and kick.  Sheamus with a side head lock and Big E with a back elbow.  Sheamus rolls to the apron and he punches Big E.  Sheamus drops Big E on the top rope and then he connects with forearms to the chest. 

Sheamus goes up top and Big E catches him and hits an overhead belly-to-belly suplex.  Big E gets a near fall.  Big E pulls Sheamus over the apron and Holland comes over to Big E but Kofi with a cannonball to Holland.  Big E misses the splash on the apron and Holland with a punch.  Sheamus with a pump knee to Big E.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Holland with a knee lift to Big E but Big E with a belly-to-belly suplex.  Kofi tags in and hits a chop off the turnbuckles.  Kofi misses a flying clothesoine and Sheamus with an Irish whip but Kofi with a double jump cross body.  Kofi with a kick to the chest and a Boom Drop.  Kofi goes for SOS and hits it.   Holland breaks up the cover.  Big E sends Holland to the apron but Big E misses the spear.  Holland with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex on the floor.  Sheamus with a rollup for a near fall.

Kofi with a leaping stomp and he goes up top and Butch gets on the apron.  Kofi gets distracted and Sheamsus with a boot for the three count.

Winners:  Ridge Holland and Sheamus

After the match, Butch attacks Kofi with forearms and then he kicks Kofi.  Sheamus and Holland have to pull Butch off Kofi.

— We take a look at Kevin Owens challenging Steve Austin to appear for a talk show segment.

We go to commercial.

— We are back and we see the headlines of Steve Austin accepting Kevin Owens’ challenge. We then see the video of Austin accepting the challenge.

— We take a look back at Ricochet winning the Intercontinental Championship and Sami Zayn’s future with Johnny Knoxville.

Backstage:

Kayla Braxton is with Sami Zayn in the back. Sami complains about the introduction but he says he has a lot on his mind. Kayla shows what Johnny Knoxville did to up the social media war by displaying Sami Zayn’s phone number to retaliate for what Sami did. Sami complains about it being revealed and how it affects his privacy. Kayla asks how has he prepared for his rematch against Ricochet. Sami says he hasn’t had time to prepare because of all of the text messages he has recevied.  Sami says he is not worried because no matter what is thrown at him, he can overcome it.  WWE management conspired against him and he was still able to get his title back.  Ricochet is not good and he is lucky.  Johnny Knoxville is not here tonight and Sami says he will get his title back.

Drew McIntyre makes hiw way to the ring as we go to commercial.

Drew McIntyre & The Viking Raiders vd. Baron Corbin, Riddick Moss, and JInder Mahal

We see Baron Corbin, Riddick Moss, Shanky, and Jinder Mahal attacking the Viking Raiders in the back.

Drew finally decides to walk to the back but out come Mahal and Shanky.  Drew punches Shanky and Drew with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex to Moss on the ramp.  Baron Corbin looks like he was just called Butch and Drew goes after Mahal but Corbin attacks Drew.  All four men attack Drew.

Mahal and Shanky hold Drew while Moss cackles like he is Seth Rollins.  Corbin sets for a Claymore and Drew with head butts.  Drew sends Moss to the floor.  He gives Mahal an overhead belly-to-belly suplex.  Drew with a Michinoku Driver to Shanky and he points to the sign with his man splitting sword.

— We take a look at Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey with a video package.

— Ronda is here but before she can speak, we go to another commercial break.

In the Arena:

We are back and Ronda mentions they are less than a month away from the biggest match of her career against Charlotte Flair.  Ronda says Charlotte showed her ignorance saying that she is a one trick pony.  It is like calling Mike Tyson a one trick pony by winning by punching people.  Ronda says there are thousands of ways to get to the arm bar.  She has done more than having babies and raising cows.  She has been working on the ankle lock that she learned from Kurt Angle.  She says there is nothing better thant o make Charlotte tap out.

Charlotte Flair makes her way to the ring.

Charlotte tells Ronda that their match will be the biggest fight of her life.  You didn’t tap me out last week.  I had five inch heels and a $2000 suit.  You took advantage of me.  You might be more worried about winning where it matters, on the grandest stage.  You will not make me tap out.

Ronda says she already did and will do it again. Charlotte tells Ronda to wipe that smile off her face because there is nothing better than to face her at Wrestlemania.  Charlotte says she still sees a one trick pony.  I will embarrass you and humiliate you.  By the end of the night, I will make you tap out. Ronda says she would love to see Charlotte do that and she will let Charlotte take off her heels.

Charlotte leaves the ring. Ronda says she is leaving Wrestlemania with Charlotte’s arm or Charlotte is taping out.

— Michael Cole mentions that Brock Lesnar has left the building. We go to commercial.

Naomi and Sasha Banks vs. Shayna Baszler and Natalya

Shayna misses a kick and Naomi goes for a kick but Shayna with an ankle lock.  Natalya tags in and they hyper-extend the legs.  Natalya gets a near fall.   Natalya with a Michinoku Driver on Naomi for a near fall.  Shayna tags in and stomps on the ankle.  Shayna with a knee bar and Naomi kicks Shayna to get out of the hold.  Shayna sends Naomi into the corner but Naomi with a kick.  Sasha and Natalya tag in and Sasha with a knee and Meteora.  Sasha with a head scissors and side head lock take down to Shayna and Natalya.  Sasha sends Natalya into Carmella and Zelina.  Sasha sends Natalya back into the ring.  Naomi with a cross body to Shayna.

Zelina distracts Sasha and Natalya with a discus clothesline for a near fall.  Carmella distracts the referee and Sasha sends Natalya into Zelina and Sasha gets the three count.

Winners:  Sasha Banks and Naomi

— We take a look at what happened with the Usos last week when they attacked Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs as well as their match against the Viking Raiders.

— The Usos make their way to the ring as we go to commercial.

In the Arena:

We are back and Jey says the Bloodline is in your city.  Jimmy says they have been champions for 236 days.  Roman has been champion for 557 days.   Jey says WWE Management does not have any worthy opponents for them at Wrestlemania.  Everyone else is the 2s while they are the 1s.

Shinsuke Nakamura’s music plays and he is joined by Rick Boogs.  Boogs says that they are the next tag team champions.

Jimmy tells them to hold up.  He asks if they want to face the Usos at Wrestlemania. Jimmy tells Pegleg Pete.  If you can beat Jey Uso in a one-on-one match, you can have a tag title match.

If Boogs can win, they get a tag title match Match

Jey goes for the leg but Boogs unwraps the tape on the leg and Boogs with a bear hug into a delayed vertical suplex.  Boogs presses Jey over his head and does some reps before dropping him to the mat.  Jimmy gets on the apron and he super kicks Nakamura.  Boogs grabs Jimmy and punches him.  Jey with a rollup for a near fall.  Boogs blocks a super kick and Boogs with a pump handle power slam for the three count.

Winner:  Rick Boogs

After the bell, Boogs stands tall and celebrates as the music hits but Jey comes in and breaks Boogs’ guitar over Boogs’ back as he points up at the WrestleMania 38 sign. We go to a replay. Nakamura checks on Boogs in the ring while The Usos back up the ramp and raise their titles in the air.

– We see how Ricochet won the WWE Intercontinental Title from Sami Zayn last week. We go back to the ring and out comes Sami Zayn to boos. Back to commercial.

WWE Intercontinental Title Match: Sami Zayn vs. Ricochet

We go back to the ring and out comes Sami Zayn to boos. Back to commercial.

Back from the break and out comes new WWE Intercontinental Champion Ricochet. Sami looks on. Before they can start, the music interrupts and out comes Austin Theory. Samantha Irvin does formal ring introductions as Theory looks on from ringside, sitting right next to McAfee.

Before the match gets going, Theory gets up from his chair and stands on the other side of the announce table, having words with McAfee. McAfee is also standing now. Theory swings and slaps McAfee. McAfee attacks, leaping over the table and taking Theory down. McAfee snaps and destroys Theory at ringside as Cole pleads with him to stop. McAfee tosses Theory over the announce table and mounts him with more punches.

Cole tells McAfee he’s a pro, and to not let that punk Theory get to him. Security and officials come over to keep Theory and McAfee apart as Theory rants and yells. Fans boo as Theory heads to the back now. McAfee follows him as security warns McAfee not to go after him. Theory is seething on the stage. Theory tries to attack McAfee again but security holds him back. We go to commercial as Theory really heads to the back this time.

We are back and the match finally starts.  

Ricochet with a kick to Sami.  Sami with a kick and side head lock.  Ricochet flips over Sami’s back and then hits a handstand head scissors followed by an arm drag.  Sami goes to the floor when he sees Ricochet setting for a kick.  Sami gets pulled back to the apron and Sami drops Ricochet on the top rope.  Zayn with a power bomb for a near fall.  Zayn with punches.  Zayn with a clothesline for a near fall.  Zayn with a reverse chin lock.  Ricochet with punches and kicks followed by chops.  Ricochet with a head scissors and a shoulder into the corner.

Ricochet with a punch from the apron and a springboard forearm.  Ricochet goes for Recoil but Sami pushes him away.  Sami with a back elbow but Ricochet gets up and hits a Detonation Kick.  Ricochet goes up top and Sami pushes Ricochet off the turnbuckles into the ringside barrier.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Zayn goes for a Blue Thunder Bomb but Ricochet with elbows.  Ricochet with a leg sweep and he goes for a moonsault but Zayn gets his knees up and gets a near fall.  Zayn with a forearm to the lower back and Ricochet lands on his feet on a suplex attempt.  Zayn with a back elbow and more elbows.   Zayn goes for a suplex but Ricochet counters with a rana for a near fall.  Zayn with a punch and Ricochet punches back.  Ricochet with a super kick and he gets Zayn up but Zayn with elbows to get back to his feet.  Ricochet kicks Sami awy in the corner.  Sami with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall.  Zayn pushes Ricochet into the turnbuckles and then puts Ricochet on the turnbuckles.

Ricochet with elbows to the back and he sends Sami to the mat with forearms and a chop.  Zayn crotches Ricochet and goes back up top and sets for super Exploder and both men are down.  Sami sets for a Helluva Kickb ut Ricochet wtih Recoil and then he pulls Sami into position.  Ricochet goes up top and hits the 630 splash for the three count.

Winner:  Ricochet

– The camera suddenly cuts backstage to Ronda Rousey and SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair brawling in a parking area. Officials try to break them apart after they slam into a car. The brawl continues and producers are getting hit and tossed into others. Rousey kicks Flair away but they keep going at it. Flair knocks Rousey into the hood of the car, then punches a producer. Flair slams Rousey onto the hood of the car with a big throw. Flair climbs up onto the hood of the car with Rousey, and applies a Crossface, pulling back on her face. Flair drops back with another brief submission before letting go. Rousey falls off the car. Flair yells at more officials and strikes what looks like Jamie Noble. Rousey is down on the concrete but slowly trying to crawl and get back to her feet. The camera focuses on Rousey as we hear Flair yelling at officials in the background. SmackDown on FOX goes off the air.
