WWE has announced that AJ Styles suffered a “severe neck contusion” during the beatdown in the closing moments of last week’s RAW episode, courtesy of WWE Hall Of Famer Edge.
The official announcement, courtesy of the WWE website, is as follows:
Following Edge’s vicious assault on last week’s Raw, and as a result of consecutive Con-Chair-Tos, it has been determined that AJ Styles has suffered a severe neck contusion. At this time, it is unclear how the injury will affect The Phenomenal One on his Road to WrestleMania, where he is slated to battle The Rated-R Superstar.

Edge assaulted Styles on the February 28 episode after the former WWE Champion answered his challenge to a match at WWE WrestleMania 38. Two Con-Chair-Tos were ruled as the cause of the injury in WWE’s announcement, which also noted that it’s unclear how the setback will “affect” Styles over the next few weeks.
“The Rated-R Superstar” is set to address his actions on tonight’s RAW episode.
