The match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 38 just got even bigger.
During tonight’s SmackDown, Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan — who are set to appear in the title match — were attacked by Shayna Baszler in a shocking ambush. Following the attack, Sonya Deville announced that Baszler and herself would be joining the match, making it a four-way bout for the titles that are currently held by Queen Zelina and Carmella.
For Deville, this will be yet another chance for her to get into the ring against Naomi, who is teaming up with Sasha Banks in the upcoming title match. As for the champions, they are no doubt unhappy about the addition, as it makes the defense of their titles even tougher.
Tonight’s SmackDown also featured a backstage with Zayn, who complained about how Knoxville has gotten under his skin and ruined his life with juvenile tricks. Zayn then challenged Knoxville, if he has the balls, to accept an “Anything Goes” stipulation for their match on WrestleMania 38 Night 2. WWE later aired a message from Knoxville and he accepted the stipulation.
WrestleMania 38 will take place on Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3 from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Below is the current announced card:
