Steve Austin Has Not Agreed To Wrestle At WrestleMania – The teases on WWE RAW in recent weeks from Kevin Owens are seemingly leading to something at WrestleMania but as of now, it’s not guaranteed that Stone Cold Steve Austin will actually be wrestling.
On today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that WWE wants Austin in an actual match but as of Friday, Austin had not agreed to that. Austin will be on the show but the only thing he has committed to so far is a confrontation.
Meltzer said, “Steve Austin and Kevin Owens, they will have a confrontation but it is not clear if that will be a match or not anymore because it’s essentially up to Austin at this point. They want the match. They thought they had the match and Steve – you know there’s a reason he hasn’t wrestled for 19 years and I just know that as of Friday he had not agreed to do the match even though it was on the books. Now it’s on the books as a confrontation.”
I recent weeks, WWE Hall Of Famers Shawn Michaels, Booker T, and JBL have been recorded videos to condemn what Owens has been saying about their home state of Texas. This seems to be leading into Austin’s return but again, no match is set in stone right now.
