Andrew Zarian is reporting that he has heard that Sid will be inducted into this year’s WWE Hall Of Fame.
Sid became a top star in several promotions throughout the 1990s after getting his start in the business in 1987 as the masked Lord Humongous in Continental Championship Wrestling.
In 1989, he signed with the NWA and formed The Skyscrapers tag team with Dan Spivey. He joined the Four Horsemen in 1990 and left the company in 1991 to sign with the World Wrestling Federation where he was instantly pushed as a top babyface and turned into a heel for a feud with Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania.
Sid left the company after Mania 8, returned to WCW and then returned to WWE as Shawn Michaels’ bodyguard in a storyline that saw him turn against HBK. He would eventually leave the company again and return for one final run in 1996 and 1997. He also had a short stint in ECW and one final national run in WCW in the final years of the company.
He’s a 2-time WWE Champion, 2-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, a 1-time CWA Heavyweight Champion and 2-time USWA World Heavyweight Champion.
