Matt Hardy Teases Babyface Turn – Jeff Hardy Debuting On Dynamite?

Matt Hardy Teases Babyface Turn - Jeff Hardy Debuting On Dynamite?

Tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite is shaping up to be an interesting one as it will have the fallout from this past Sunday’s Revolution pay-per-view event and a big name could be making his debut on the show.

Matt Hardy took to Twitter to send out a message regarding how he took advantage of younger stars and failed them before promising to make a change and be a better person, which indicates that he is turning from heel to a babyface.

Hardy wrote, “I became wrapped up in making as much money as I could in @AEW, much like those who came before me. I took advantage of young men who looked up to me & I failed them. On #AEWDynamite, I promise to make a change & be better. It’s time for me to get back to being Matt Hardy.”

Over the past few weeks, Hardy has been hinting at making changes to his character, which comes at a time where his brother, Jeff, is heading to AEW. As previously reported, the former WWE Champion is scheduled to be at tonight’s Dynamite, although it’s unknown whether he will be appearing as his WWE non-compete clause expired today.

The belief has been there will be a Hardy Boyz reunion in AEW as they’re already booked for tag team bouts at several upcoming indie shows. With Matt teasing a change, it looks like fans can expect to see the brothers team up on AEW programming as well.

AEW has announced the following line-up for tonight’s Dynamite:

  • Fallout from Revolution
  • Leyla Hirsch vs. Thunder Rosa to determine a new #1 contender to AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker
  • Chris Jericho will address Eddie Kingston
  • TNT Champion Sammy Guevara defends against Scorpio Sky

Stay tuned for more on tonight’s Dynamite and be sure to join us for live coverage at 8pm ET.
