NXT 2.0 Results (3/01) – We are live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL, as NXT Xhampion Bron Breakker and Tommaso Ciampa make their way to the ring to start the show. Dolphin Ziggler and Robert Roode are next.

Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode vs. Tommaso Ciampa and Bron Breakker

They fight outside the ring while Roode and Ziggler make their way to the ring.  Roode sends Ciampa into the guardrail while Breakker punches Ziggler.  Roode with a punch and Ciampa is sent into the ring.  Breakker pulls Roode off the apron and Ciampa with a corkscrew pescado onto Roode and Ziggler.  Ciampa and Breakker pat themselves on the back and bark. 

The match officially starts and Ciampa with punches and kicks.  Ciampa with a wrist lock and Breakker tags in.  Ciampa sends Ziggler to Breakker for a spinebuster for a near fall. 

Breakker presses Ziggler over his head but Roode gets involved and Ziggler gets to his feet and hits a Zig Zag for a near fall.  Roode tags in and kicks Breakker.  Roode with punches.  Roode kicks Breakker and tags Ziggler in.  Ziggler with a kick to the chest.  Ziggler teases a super kick to Ciamap on the apron.  Ziggler with a reverse chin lock.  Ziggler with a sleeper and Breakker with a punch.  Ziggler with a kick and neck breaker.  Roode tags in and he suplexes Breakker.

Roode goes to the turnbuckles and connects with a forearm for a near fall.  Ziggler tags in and kicks Breakker.  Ziggler runs his boot laces across the bridge of the nose.  Roode tags in and Ziggler misses a splash in the corner.  Breakker with a running shoulder tackle and both men are down.  Ciampa tags in and he clotheslines Roode many times and does the same to Ziggler.  Ciampa with a flying clothesline.  The straps come down and he kicks Roode and sets for Fairy Tale Ending but Roode backs Ciampa into the corner.  Ciampa punches Roode and Ziggler but Roode with a spinebuster for a near fall.

Roode with a front face lock to Ciampa.  Ciampa gets to his feet but Roode pushes Ciampa down while the referee deals with Ziggler.  Ziggler tags in and Roode with a punch.  Ziggler chokes Ciampa in the corner.  Ziggler has some words for Breakker on the apron.  Ziggler with a head butt to send Ciampa to the floor.  Roode sends Ciampa into the announce table.  Roode hot shots Ciampa on the apron.  Ciampa struggles to get back into the ring but he beats the ten count.  Ciampa with chops and punches but Roode with forearms and kicks in the corner.  Ziggler tags in and he snap mares Ciampa and hits a leaping elbow drop for a near fall.

Ziggler with a reverse chin lock.  Ciampa with punches but Ziggler keeps Ciampa from making the tag.  Ziggler with a kick and Ciampa blocks a drop kick and he catapults Ziggler over the top rope to the floor.  Roode goes over to check on Ziggler on the floor.  Ciampa crawls across the ring and Roode pulls Breakker off the apron and then into the front row.  Ziggler grabs the leg and tags in Roode.  Roode kicks Ciampa.  Roode and Ziggler with a neck breaker and power bomb combination for a near fall.  Ciampa with a jumping knee and Roode falls to the mat.

Roode and Ciampa crawl to their corners.  Ziggler tags in and keeps CIampa from making the tag but Ciampa kicks Ziggler away and Breakker tags in and connects with a clothesline and forearm.  Breakker with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex to Ziggler and Roode.  Breakker with a clothesline.  Breakker runs into a knee and Ziggler misses a super kick.  Breakker with a spear.  Ciampa wants the tag and Breakker does so.  Ciampa goes up top while Breakker gets Ziggler up.  Ciampa with the bulldog but Roode breaks up the cover.  Breakker is sent into the ring post by Roode but Ciampa kicks Roode.  Ziggler with a rollup for a near fall.  Ciampa with a kick and Fairsy Tale Ending for the three count.

Winners:  Tommaso Ciampa and Bron Breakker

— Carmelo Hayes and Tick Williams arrive at the building earlier today. We see Pete Dunne arriving earlier today. They will meet in the main event.

— LA Knight is walking in the back and he wants people to call or text anyone they know because he is going to call out Outback Jackoff Grayson Waller.  It is time to pay the piper.

We go to commercial.

— We are back and Gunther says Solo Sikoa got what he wanted.  You call yourself the street fighter from the islands but I will embarrass you tonight.  I will chop the tribal tattoos off you body and it will be replaced with some much needed respect.  Your undefeated streak will end tonight.

— LA Knight is in the ring.  

Knight says YEAH a few times and he wants to talk to you.  He says he has been doing this with Grayson Waller since before Halloween Havoc and I beat you then.  We put each other through hell at War Games.  Knight says that Waller stole his car and you thought that would be enough to get rid of him.  I came back and beat you up but you go and get a restraining order and bodyguard.  You think to yourself that will keep LA Knight away.   He mentions what Waller did last week…

Grayson Waller’s music plays and he comes out to the HBalKony and he says that Knight is right.  He beat LA Knight last week.  You were the roadblock on my road to greatness.  We are done now.

Knight says he can’t hear Waller over the crowd.  

Waller starts to leave with Sanga but Knight shows Waller what happened after the match.  I have walked out of the ring every time with your ass lying.  You are about your likes and tweets.  You can get the cheap victory, but every tie, I am the one standing.  Prove you have a shred of manhood and prove that you can leave me laying in a Last Man Standing Match.

Waller says he will go viral next week when he is the Last Man Standing.

— Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirrota are in the back and Persia says that Duke wished them luck tonight.  Indi wants to know if Persia is focused.  Persia says she is focused.  Persia responds to something from Duke before going to the ring.

— We take a look at what happened last week in the Dusty Cup.

— We go back to the ring for another first round match in the 2022 NXT Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic as Wendy Choo makes her way out. Dakota Kai is out next and the dysfunctional tag team heads to the ring together. Back to commercial.

Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic First Round Match: Wendy Choo and Dakota Kai vs. Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta

Choo and Persia start things off and Choo rolls through and stretches.  Wendy tries for a drop toe hold but naps.  Wendy spins around while Persia holds her braid.  Choo with a side head lock.  Indi tags in and Persia with a splash in the corner and Indi with a side slam for a near fall.  Wendy with a punch and drop kick.  Kai is talking to her ‘friend’ but Wendy tags her in.  They send Indi into the turnbuckles.  Wendy with a running boot into the corner followed by one from Kai for a near fall.  Kai with a side head lock.  Wendy tags in and they send Indi face first to the mat for a near fall.  Indi with an Irish whip and Indi misses a forearm in the corner.  Wendy misses a cartwheel forearm and Indi with a clothesline.

Persia tags in and gets Wendy on her shoulders but Wendy escapes.  Persia with a boot for a near fall.  Indi tags in and Persia with a back breaker and Indi with a clothesline for a near fall.   Indi with a double wrist lock.  Choo with an inside cradle for a near fall.  Kai tags in and hits a scorpion kick and she connects with a forearm to Priotta on the apron.  Kai with a snap mare take down and a running boot in the corner and then she connects rounding second for the boot for a naer fall.  Persia tags in and shot hits snake eyes and then hits a TKO for a near fall when Choo breaks up the cover.  Indi grabs Choo but Choo sends Indi to the floor.  Kai with a kick and Choo tags in and then Kai tags in.  Choo with a moonsault and Kai with a double stomp for the three count.

Winners:  Wendy Choo and Dakota Kai

Back to commercial.

— We are back with a look at the NXT Tag Title Match between Imperium and the Creed Brothers.   We take a look at the perception and reality of the two teams.  Barthel says that Imperium is the best team in the world while the Creed says they are the best tag team.  Julius calls Imperium world class a**holes.  Imperium says they will retain the title.  Malcolm says next week, we will have the tag title match.  Julius says if Imperium is the last road block to get throwgh, so be it.  Barthel says that The Creeds will never take the title from them.

— We see Amari Miller and Lash Legend arguing last week when Lash insulting Amari and blaming her for their loss.

Amari MIller vs. Lash Legend

Amari with a forearm to Legend as Legend backs Miller into the corner.  Legend holds on to the ropes on an O’Connor Roll attempt.  Legend with a bicycle kick.  Lash runs Miller’s head into the top and middle ropes.  Legend with a back breaker and she stretches Miller over her knee.  Legend misses an elbow drop but Miller cannot capitalize on the situation.  Miller gets to the ropes and Legend holds the leg.  Miller with a kick and forearms.  Miller with a forearm and drop kick.  Miller with another kick to Legend.  Miller with a moonsault for a near fall.  Legend sends Miller into the turnbuckles and Legend gets Miller up and hits a Death Valley power slam for the three count.

Winner:  Lash Legend

— Solo Sikoa is in the back with Sarah.  She asks him about Gunther.  Solo says he heard what Gunther said.  He can bring everything but he will keep coming.  Respect is a two way street so let’s go.

We go to commercial.

— We are back and Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs are looking at Brooks’ phone and he is talking about the rear on what he is looking at. Elektra Lopez walks past and she thinks Brooks is talking about her. Eletrka talks about her car and says that Brooks wouldn’t know what to do with a real woman. Brooks says Elektra is wrong because he has never been with a real woman.

Solo Sikoa vs. Gunther

Gunther with a forearm and kick.  Gunther with a back elbow.  Gunther with forearms in the corner.  Sikoa with chops and Gunther with a chop that sends Sikoa to the mat.  Gunther twists the neck.  Gunther with a knee to the midsection followed by an elbow to the bridge of the nose. Gunther with forearms to the chest.  Sikoa with elbows and Gunther with a boot to the head.  Gunther with a side head lock take down.  Gunther with a boot to Sikoa but he misses a clothesline.  Sikoa tries to get Gunther up but he cannot keep Gunther up.  Gunther with a short arm clothesline for a near fall.  Gunther wtih a boot to the back.  Gunther with a Boston Crab.

Gunther with a chop and forearm.  Gunther with a boot to the head.  Gunther with a chop.  SIkoa with forearms and chops.  Sikoa with a running forearm and a flying elbow.  Gunther blocks a super kick and Gunther goes for a power bomb but Sikoa blocks it.  Gunther rolls to the floor.  Sikoa with a splash off the apron onto Gunther.  They return to the ring and Sikoa with a super kick for a near fall.  Sikoa goes up top and misses the frog splash.  Gunther with a sleeper but Sikoa with a jaw breaker to escape.  Gunther wtih a chop to the back and he returns to the sleeper.

Gunther with a power bomb and then he hits a second one for the three count.

Winner:  Gunther

— Megan is in the back with Dolph Ziggler.  he says he saw the weaknesses and he wants the title match next week. Tommaso Ciampa shows up and says that you can ask for all you want but you are not the number one contender when I pinned you.

Bron Breakker shows up and Dolph says he knows he can beat Breakker and Ciampa probably thinks he can too. Ciampa says he beat Breakker already and Breakker says he will beat both of your asses. Ziggler wishes them luck next week.

— Joe Gacy says he will let Harland take out his anger against Draco Anthony.  Everyone is fighting their own personal issues.

We go to commercial.

— We are back and Indi complains about losing to a team that didn’t have matching gear.  Persia says they lost as a team.  Duke shows up to console Persia and Indi is not in a good mood.

— Next week, Tommaso Ciampa and Dolph Ziggler will meet Bron Breakker for the NXT Championship in a Triple Threat Match.

Harland vs. Draco Anthony

Harland with a knee to the midsection and Anthony goes to the floor and Gacy walks up to him.  Harland grabs Anthony and Anthony drops Harland on the top rope.  Anthony with shoulders and Harland with a splash to the back.  Harland with punches and he stretches Anthony over the turnbuckle.  Anthony with an elbow and boot to Harland.  Anthony with forearms.  Harland sends Anthony face first to the mat a few times.  Harland picks up Anthony and hits a belly-to-back slam for the three count.

WInner:  Harland

After the match, Harland picks up Anthony and he hugs Draco.

— McKenzie is in the back with Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams.  Carmelo says Pete Dunne is one of the best but then I showed up.  Pete will never be A Champion like him.  Carmelo says he is leading the way.  The question will be who’s left for Melo.

Back to commercial.

— We are back and we see Ivy Nile training in the back and Tatum Paxley shows up and says that she let Ivy down. Ivy says it is not that simple.  You got a taste.  You want to be a part of Diamond Mine, you learn the hard way.

Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic First Round Match: Cora Jade and Raquel Gonzalez vs. Valentina Feroz and Yulisa Leon

Leon and Cora start things off and Leon with a take down.  Raquel tags in and Yulia with a waist lock but Gonzalez with a wrist lock.  Leon with a side head lock.  Feroz tags in and she drop kicks Gonzalez in the leg and connects with a clothesline.  Gonzalez gets Feroz up but Feroz lands on her feet.  Gonzalez blocks a head scissors take down but Feroz tries for a rollup.  Gonzalez sends Feroz into the turnbuckles and Jade tags in.  Jade with an uppercut and a head scissors take down.  Jade with a bronco buster into the corner.  Jade with a knee to Feroz.

Feroz sends Jade to the floor.  Leon tags in and they snarl.  Leon tosses Feroz over the top rope and she lands on Gonzalez.  Leon with a tope onto Gonzalez as well.  Jade with a kick and Leon with a power slam for a near fall.   Feroz with a sunset flip for a near fall.  Feroz with a snap mare on Jade.  Leon tags in and hits a missile drop kick and Leon gets a near fall.  Leon kicks Jade and Jade kicks Leon.  Gonzalez and Feroz tag in and Gonzalez catches Feroz off the turnbuckles and hits an exploder.  Gonzalez with a clothesline and forearm.  Gonzalez with a Chingona Bomb and then Jade tags in and she choke slams Jade onto Feroz for the three count.

Winners:  Raquel Gonzalez and Cora Jade (advance to face Wendy Choo and Dakota Kai)

— Sarray is in the back showing everyone her necklace.  Tiffany Stratton is not impressed and she sends Sarray into the metal door.

We go to commercial.

— We are back with Tony D’Angelo on the docks and he is talking about Wrestlemania weekend.  When you zig, Tony says he zags.  He is looking at a big fish.  Stand and Deliver will be his showcase.  Tony becomes a made man.  As far as his opponent goes, they will be sleeping with the fishes.

Andre Chase vs. Von Wagner

Chase with punches and chops but Wagner catches Chase and Chase with a splash into the corner.  Wagner with a punch and then he runs Chase into the turnbuckles and connects with shoulders.  Wagner with a back elbow.  Chase with a boot and punches.  Wagner with a power slam.  Wagner with a forearm and kick followed by a head butt and punch.  Wanger with a boot to the head.  Wagner with a knee in the corner folllowed by an irish whip and clothesline into the corner.

Wanger with a biel.  Wagner with a knee in the corner and a front face lock.  Chase with punches but Wagner with a back breaker.  Wagner sends Chase into the corner but misses a splash.  Chase with a knee breaker and he kicks Wagner in the leg and clips him.  Chase with a clothesline and it is time for the C-H-A-S-E-U Stomp.  Hayward and Stone have some words and Chase joins in but Wagner hits Hayward.  Chase checks on Hayward and then Wagner with a clothesline when Andre returns to the ring.  Wagner with a neck breaker from a fireman’s carry position for the three count.

Winner:  Von Wagner

– The announcers look at how Nikkita Lyons made headlines following her debut last week. Lyons is backstage now, talking to Vic. She heard what Lash Legend said earlier and says Lash should be afraid of her. Lyons tells Lash to bring back her “Lashin’ Out” show and when they’re face-to-face, make sure she keeps that same energy.

— We go back to the ring for tonight’s main event as NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes comes out with Trick Williams. Back to commercial.

— Next week on NXT Roadblock, we will have the NXT Men’s Chamiponship Match and the NXT Men’s Tag Team Championship Match.  LA Knight will face Grayson Waller in a Last Man Standing Match.

NXT North American Title Match: Pete Dunne vs. Carmelo Hayes

They lock up and Dunne with an arm bar take down into a wrist lock.  Hayes with a knee and side head lock.  Dunne misses a clothesline and Hayes connects with one of his own.  Hayes flips over Dunne and Dunne with a clothesline and kick.  Dunne puts the hand on the mat and kicks the upper arm.  Dunne with a chop and he follows with a forearm.  Hayes with a forearm and Dunne falls into the ropes.  Both men with clotheslines and they stay on their feet.  Dunne falls to his knees and Hayes bounces off the ropes to go to the mat.  Dunne floats over and sets for an X Plex and Hayes blocks it.  Dunne with an X Plex and Hayes lands awkwardly.  

Dunne with an arm bar as he puts his boot on Hayes’ head.  Dunne pulls at the fingers.  Dunne with a forearm.  Hayes with a boot out of the corner and Hayes with a springboard clothesline.  Hayes kicks Dunne in the head.  Hayes punches Dunne.   Hayes wit a forearm and Dunne goes down to the mat.  Dunne with a belly-to-back suplex.  Dunne with an arm bar.  Hayes and Dunne exchange forearms.   Dunne goes for a German suplex but Hayes counters with a single leg take down and a single leg crab.  Dunne kicks Hayes away.  Hayes puts Dunne in the ropes and Hayes with a kick to the back.  Dunne kicks Hayes after avoiding a springboard leg drop.  Hayes with a leg sweep to Dunne on the apron.

They return to the ring and Hayes gets a near fall.  Hayes kicks Dunne.  Hayes works on the neck.  Hayes with a forearm and Dunne falls to the mat.  Hayes with more forearms but Dunne with forearms and he stomps on the elbow.  Dunne misses stomping on the hands and Hayes pulls Dunne down.  Hayes comes off the ropes for a springboard move and Dunne with a forearm for a near fall.  Dunne with a forearm but Hayes with a boot.  Hayes goes for a swinging suplex but Dunne escapes.  Hayes escapes an X Plex and hits a Codebreaker for a near fall.  Dunne with an ankle lock and Dunne kicks the arm.

Dunne misses a boot to the arm and Hayes with a scissors kick for a near fall.  Dunne with Bitter End and he goes for the cover but Hayes rolls away.  Dunne with a triangle but Hayes gets Dunne’s shoulders on the mat and Dunne gets to the ropes.  Hayes catapults Dunne into the bottom rope.  Hayes with La Mistica into a cross face.  Dunne pulls the fingers.  Hayes avoids Bitter End and hits a TKO suplex.  Hayes goes up top and Dunne with a forearm.  Williams gets on the apron and Dunne pulls the fingers.

Dunne sets for a superplex and Hayes pushes Dunne to the mat.  Hayes with a Rocker Dropper for the three count.

Winner:  Carmelo Hayes

After the match, the music hits as Hayes recovers and Trick enters the ring to celebrate with him. We go to replays. Trick takes the mic and announces Hayes as still the A Champion. Hayes takes the mic and starts bragging, and mentions how he’s taking his title to NXT Stand & Deliver during WrestleMania Weekend. Hayes’ theme is started back up to cut him off as we’re nearing the 10:10pm mark. Hayes says at Stand & Deliver he will defend his title in a Ladder Match, where this title started. Hayes tosses the mic and makes his exit with Trick as NXT goes off the air.
